So the Gara nerf makes it in (so glad I bought her as an alternate to my Frosties for something different on Defense /s) but it's not worth mentioning it on the write-up eh? Lame all around. Merry Christmas.

To a degree yes, definitely a strong thematic for some frames I try to stick with eg for Harrow it's Ether Reaper or similar reap/scythe/bladed pole style, so I'm considering the Guando too, maybe a nasty Zaw Polearm (not staff, no thunk, and very disappointingly no scythe, too small 1h looks like a Kama).
Might allow Rakta dagger type too but he just feels better with 2 handed hooked / bladed fury to me. Something cries out personal damage too, so a Sancti or Tigris Prime tends to dole out the face blasting meet your maker damage. Playing with secondaries yet, still settling on his perfect style, his pistol is interesting, I need to play with it more.

Yeah Maiming Strike has been going down in price, I hope to buy one either in the drop right before the event or when farmers unload some of their extras during. TBD.
(Then a lucky drop during it is just a bonus ;b)

Sorry if a little over a month is a mini-necro but I agree, eg. I'm going Ether Reaper as it's clear I'm not getting another good looking scythe(ish) weapon soon (price or drop chance) but even the Zaw form is just a Kama - condition overload, drifting condition and it's base stats and smart status choices = I finally feel comfortable potato-ing and making that my melee on a few characters for thematic and/other fashion frame fun.
Maybe a Riven will show up and I can double down on that idea (I'm not going as far to seek that for plat yet lol) but condition overload on a hybrid (not just all status) seems to hold some real potential too, as it's not hard to get 50%+ with 15%+ see how it goes.

Mini-Necro'd as here we are less than 3 weeks and DE is already dropping a big nerf. Talk about bait and switch. All this stuff was obvious to consider, how long has Frost been out and re-jiggered?? So we can't let a *single* defense (not 4 with invulnerable phase and stacking) short walls (yeah jump for higher) and a completely open top AND a duration - stand. Make her 4 more like a 1/4, an absolutely gimped Frost instead!
So it had felt good spending money on Gara, giving DE credit for offering up an alternate defense frame that wasn't OP and did things differently enough than Frost to warrant the move (having Frost and Frost Prime and done a ton everything Frosty). Yeah. And right in time before I pick up my 50% plat on console or even consider Prime packages that challenge, DE brings me back to earth and why it's always better to go in small with them than large. They're more than happy to nerf the fun and they really don't have a feel for balance. Thanks for the reminder!
Gara had turned into my fashionista and fun, wouldn't have lasted forever, but congratulations on shattering her glass ceiling so quickly - if you had gave her one.

Yeah it's really sad, he was one of my fave stylistically and there were tankier frames and easier frames and aoe frames that did/do things Ash never could. And after recently buying Gara for something different in the Defense bucket she's destined to be nerfed outclassed by Frost/Frost Prime and I already have those, I wanted what Gara offered in a more limited but powerful way. Feeling the bait and switch there and I'm not happy.

Well in that respect then it is really no different, we don't get plat deals but rather coupons we can use on single items only - no bundles and no tennogen and unless I am mistaken, tennogen items generally either head considerably later or not at all to console.

Win 10 can stream X1 but I was wondering if there has been any chatter for using X1 account on Win 10 such as X1 Gwent also matching a Win 10 Gwent.
(Just allow me to play with my built up chars on a win 10 machine more directly)

Ash used to be a fairly used if not go to member of my tenno pen, but since the last changes I haven't really used Ash much since rework. Just too many better options now that his area carnage is slow and gimped.

There was some number crunching and they're not terribly useful or productive, while offering some improvement if you kept them busy I believe... I'd have to find that article again. But I remember my takeaway was a bit 'Eh...'

Hey as a console-ite I'm just jealous you all get these choices so much earlier and in so much more quantity and get plat discounts that must help with the acquisition of said items. Frankly I avoid looking at this too much as I'll just see what I likely can't get, and then when if so, at quite a premium (no discounted platinum option, no coupon use).

Squad chat doesn't work / isn't there when you're in your ship tho afaik? Certainly will try that, tho I am 'lucky' enough to be in a very quiet Clan.
Edit - anyone know how to close chat tabs with players (on X1)? Before interface redone it was very easy...

One of the weirdest things I've ever felt DE missed is the whole Scythe thing. With Nekros and then the advent of Nekros Prime, now Harrow...
Just how do you drop the ball on beautiful 2 handed Scythes, ala Reaper? These short one handers are indeed kamas and sickles. Was so excited to go after a Scythe Zaw and I see (from vid) even if they fix it it's dinky, while a stave looks a heck of a lot more like one (even if it won't slash/reap like one), sad.

This weapon still is short shaft though right? Scythes should be long, have good range and ideally 2h, so far I've just seen some kamas / sickles in vids :-b

Did this go anywhere, you had a proper 2h scythe of length using the stances (and not like short 1h Kama disappointment) and stopped working after Gilding?
I wasn't sure Warframe had 2h scythes, still looking for such a weapon of length, reach and respectability!
Another topic mentions machetes stance but that should get reverted. I think it's just the normal 1h scythe tho and further is small and short range :b

Chiming in with the OP, my guild / friends have been pretty absent from Warframe and we all have found there has been little to challenge, spice it up. Well it was a pleasant surprise with all 8 items tossed in the second half of the fight gets juicier and even after my warnings there was fun and agreement (and even a few deaths) with the second half of the fight.
My introduction to the fight was with a PUG and they loaded it all up.. and then apparently it was too much for them and they left! My Ember was hard pressed to do it all even with WoF augment and I'm not sure if the same 4 death limit is enforced but I was on what would be my last when I mopped up the last of them. The cover and space allows for some of that, in tight and I'm losing that fight solo in that setup at that moment.
Sure there is some running around but I dont find it obnoxious, the rewards are solid and it wasn't the chore I saw some threads suggest.. so far. I'm not looking to do a ton more and sure, variation would help not only with what we have to do but the bounty reward itself. So I'll use some of my archwing launchers and I'm going to need Plastids but generally the event gets a thumbs up from me.

Sorry if a mini-necro but what was the net cost of just the Dominion skin then? Sucks it's in a pack only, being on X1 no Plat breaks either then, gets to be a regular draining combo where I want to pay them, but just for what I want, not for what they wanted to load on =b

Yeah max intruder, liset, ideally a frame that can invis hack (or CC/distract anyway). I'm usually playing Ivara with the prowl augment for such tasks.
I believe operator can cloak / hack fine too but I imagine they wouldn't get intruder bonus? Dunno
Edit - Which now has me wondering, could avoid being downed this way, you'd simply go back to your Warframe if you got 'console zapped' while in operator? Still, doing all the above should help pretty significantly.

Venus defense got me a stupid number of isotopes, 1 PUG stop. Build Formian thing. Stick it in wheel
Run the mission PUG, one run over 1M for team, earn potato and 200K creds.
Just try it, couldn't be easier, others will do the damage if you dont, some quick easy rewards. As for the drop(s) I'm not really interested in the mission itself, and I actually like some archwing.
