No the skin itself annoyed me, the lack of any practical use for the new reward is what made me mad, i'd have questioned any skin that doesn't come with the frame the fact it was a skin for a frame i hate out of principle just makes it worse,

Well, Skins in warframe are purely cosmetic FYI. Even the helmet. But most users like these because it gives more customizable options on their warframes.

You know, if I were in Xbox, I would have given you a skin for your favorite warframe. However, I cannot do that, as I am a PC player.

I can't my principles make acquiring him feel wrong since it pads his metrics, same reason i never play a human in an RPG game with races to avoid padding them in the statistics,

That really made me fall on the floor laughing.

Well, then, leave it. You won't even notice the skin ever existing in your inventory.

Btw, just try Excalibur if you can lay your principles off for a while. He is a fun character and can become one powerful character when modded properly.

P.S. Appearances can be deceiving. Remember this with regard to Warframes.

I know, but i had hoped they would at least give us the frame so i could get some quick mastery before selling him or put the skin in a mission to i could not get it out of protest, they won't do this, i get that,  but again this was meant only to turn all my rage into something other than incoherent screaming,

well, then, you would be happy to hear that Excalibur is no longer in pluto. I remember him being farmable from mars.... try farming him

  4. Well, while I can understand that you are angry for Excalibur being given a free skin, Excalibur was the poster boy of Warframe, even during the time it was conceptualized for Dark Sector game (look in youtube for Dark Sector Trailer in 2004).

This skin was teased from around January if you have been following the news. Excalibur is the most used Warframe, and he is the most beginner friendly Warframe. So, it is alright if he gets the skin. Many get a free skin. If you don't you use Excalibur, deal with it.

As pointed out by many of the others, what you propose will simply not happen. It has been a design choice and one that the developers will not break for a long time.

Hopefully, you get the point amidst all the replies posted here.

Knew it would be cooldown before I clicked.

Unfortunately, with this feature implemented ALL existing abilities would have to be reworked to perform properly.

This is exactly what I wanted to point out.

And don't talk about balancing in a PvE game. This is a fundamental problem in Warframe, where scaling is defined by Scaling of enemy health AND Armor, and not the mechanics on how to defeat an enemy

Basically, there is no real point to it. People like it. It’s been going a long time. What else do you want?

Oh ok. So how are things going for you mate?

  7. Looking at the conversation at how Harrow's abilities are placed in the game, and being that Harrow is my new favorite warframe now, I can give my few cents on what Harrow is great for. However, I may repeat some of the points others may have said, and if so, I will apologize beforehand. Happy? Here we go.

Harrow's 2nd and 3rd abilities require Harrow to be killing enemies in order to build up the support he can give to the team mates.  THerefore, I find that he is in a fine position in the category of supports. However, in the case where Embers or Banshees are involved, I too have faced trouble with building support. In those cases, I would not provide any support until their abilities have stopped.

His abilities, thus far, excel in high level combat, where the Ember and Banshees can do little to damage the enemies. So, I always carry harrow in these type of missions, with a high damage weapon (Pref. The Tigris Prime, or now my new mostly used, Astilla)

So, I would like to summarize what I would do in order to excel my Harrow in these situations:

    1. Build Harrow for High Health, Duration, and normal range (Strength is optional)
    2. Get a high damage and fast firing shotgun (Astilla) and Carrier Prime
    3. Take a few energy Packs (Large ones because you will need these if you ever fall out of energy, but there will be less opportunities).
    4. In mission start, Cast 3 for 5s.
    5. Shoot some enemies and get enough energy for 4 and 2.
    6. Cast 4 and then 2.
    7. With the increased fire rate and crit chance, kill more enemies, and fill the energy bar.
    8. Cast 1 to enemies to get overshields.
    9. Cast 4 and 2 to get Fire rate and crit chance.
    10. rinse and repeat.

This may not be the optimal play, and I have changed my combos according to situation, but overall Harrow is in a great place in the Support Sector.  Compared to Oberon and Trinity, He needs more skill to get that extra survivability.

Please comment on what I have written so far.

By the way there is an ussue of archwing theft that can happen in the plains, such as you throw a beacon, and your team mate can say so long and thanks for the fish and fly on your spawned archwing, making you throw another, or you can accidentally take a squad members one and he has to launch a second for himself.

Well, the archwing Launcher has that as a feature, and so I would rather find what was stated better than giving the archwing launcher to a friend, only for him to leave it and move on foot.

  9. Hi ,

Welcome to Warframe, and I will try at my best to answer your questions as much as possible. However, do not stress much as these things will come to you in about a month as you play this game.

    1. I wouldn't agree with using Extractor drones to farm resources. While it is sort of an effortless way to get resources from a planet, this method is not the fastest way. It is, in fact, one of the slowest methods to be used. Instead, I would recommend doing endless missions on the specific planet where you need to farm the specific resources (e.g. Helene on Saturn is a Defence mission which can spawn good amounts of Plastids) .

    2. Weapons are one of the most versatile items in Warframe, and can be modded specifically to the weapons characteristics, and each and every weapon will have their own strengths and weaknesses. However, most weapons (e.g. Tigris Prime) are locked by Mastery Rank, which is gained by Levelling up new weapons and Warframes, and the weapons in these tiers may be stronger than the other. Even though I mention this, as I mentioned earlier, as I mentioned earlier, it all boils down to play style.

To go into Rifles, some of my suggestions would be Karak, Gorgon Wraith or Prisma , Soma (the prime is better if you can get hold of it), Zarr , and melee weapons can be Hirudo, Anku, Prisma Skana can be good starter melee weapons. However, these are not the only weapons I can recommend, and I can put up a long list.

    3. The only limited spaces you have are warframes, weapons, archwings  and archweapons, sentinels, pets and riven mods (You can learn about these in the future), and you can increase that space using platinum (20 for 1 warframe or pet slots,  12 for 2 weapon, sentinel or archwing slots, 60 for 3 riven mod slots) . The other inventory space is unlimited.
