  1. I've been getting the same freezes for bullet jump mod pickups from Kuva Jesters but also for stance mod pickups (e.g. Fracturing Wind, Homing Fang, and Spinning Needle from Infested as well as Crossing Snakes and Sundering Weave from Grineer).

    Example clip:

  2. Just tried Opticor and while it does work for me to hit the limbs, I'd still heavily advise to look for another weapon. Even if you get to nearly guaranteed crits with your Riven (something like crit chance, multishot, and (crit) damage with some negative), you'd still have worse charge time, less damage, and no combo in comparison to e.g. Lanka. You can use other snipers; Lanka is just, in my opinion, the most reliable one when you got no Riven (guaranteed crits at last zoom already).

Tried the upper limbs as well but no problem there either. Lower ones can be a pain sometimes (since only the front and a tiiiny bit on the sides are considered part of the damageable hitbox). And oh right, this was after reducing armour with Sarpa already (six shots).

As for Vomvalysts that are stuck below ground, there's only my thing that worked for me so far and that is getting 200 to 300 metres away, so they should despawn. This surely is time consuming but still better than letting the Eidolon's shield recharge a lot while praying that the bug will somehow resolve itself. Quite a bummer that they haven't fixed this particular bug yet.

bit of a shame though, she was much more mobile, and fun to run with.

This. It's such a small thing that makes quite the difference because the Frame overall felt way more bird-like without being rooted. Would love to see Turbulence and Tornado being one-handed again as an actual feature.

Actually, I'd even like Tail Wind to be included since it would allow some funky things (e.g. shooting sideways during flight). Though, I doubt this would ever be implemented, albeit helping the feel of the Frame a lot while not being overly advantageous.

I was doing a lot of theorycrafting mid last year when I started playing again and there was definitely no Riven or Augment scaling on Excalibur or Wukong IN THE WIKI.

Mid last year, melee Rivens didn't exist yet. And I'm afraid I have to say that stuff like this, which is quite specific in nature, is bound to be overlooked or more susceptible to be outdated. In the case of Rivens, I know that there was a disparity between a good bunch of people knowing about an interaction in general but no one really testing it properly to put the info on there.

Rivens and Augs definitely did not originally effect Wu, pre-rework Atlas or Excal. The first known instance of a change to this design was Garas 1 implementation on her launch.

I'm pretty certain Rivens affecting all those abilities from their introduction in U21 (2017-06-29). The above vid (2017-09-09) at least proves that it affected Landslide before Gara's release in U22 (2017-10-12).

  6. The yellow objective circles which, of course, aren't affected by the transparency slider were already bad enough but now we got the same 'feature' at least in Hive missions:

    Spoiler

    cc85b2da3b.jpg

You literally can't play the mission with the overlay map active anymore. One play test would've shown how this isn't a good idea but welp. If only those circles weren't completely filled out, they'd still convey the same information without blocking the whole screen.

Anyways, any possibility to adjust and personalise the map in general surely would be a very welcome QoL change.

  7. I just tried the Zenith again and it has definitely become even worse. Before, it was bearable if you didn't mod for fire rate (which is the obvious thing to boost its semi-auto mode). Now, it's just obnoxious regardless. Why would a screenshake into all directions (but primarily to the sides with great frequency) even be a thing for recoil? Who thinks this is any fun?

The same happens for Akjagara and Dual Decurion, among others, but this 'type' of recoil is definitely a grand minority which puts even more emphasis on the why. Is it supposed to be a unique feature of these weapons? Because it's definitely unique in driving people away from using them.

    1) My source is usually the wiki for drop rates and they seem to be accurate, it's datamined. I can't trust DE with their "offical" drop rates, sorry. Of course, both parties could be lying here.

Ironically, the 'datamined' drop rates on the wiki you're referring to were directly taken from DE's tables. The 0.33% you mentioned is simply the chance for all uncommon mods that can drop from any Aerial / Plains / Recon Commander after multiplying the general mod drop chance (3%) with the distinct chance for a listed mod (e.g. 11.06% for Gladiator Might). Accordingly, drop chances for them in general are 1.14%, 0.33%, and 0.02% for common, uncommon, and rare mods respectively, as seen on the wiki's pages.

I usually have a similar stance as you in regards to this topic but aside from some stuff still missing (e.g. War parts from Sentients), those numbers seem to be accurate.

Anyways, I just had a T4 bounty without any reward at all. (And I thought those credit caches were bad.) Might've been due to being in there until after bounties did 'reset'.

    Spoiler

    f9535e8410.jpg

I checked everything I collected in said mission and nothing matches the listed drops for bounties in general (in case it was just a visual bug).

As for them not rotating, it's annoying as hell. I'm basically down to Augur Reach being the last interesting drop after playing very casually; anything else of interest (maybe Eidolon Lens bps) is just way too low in chance to actively bother. (Though, I have to admit I got quite lucky on those stances and Gara parts.)

i would prioritize being able to fire the 2nd shot as soon as possible if one is not enough, and having that recoil deal with honestly

The thing is, the window where you need two shots is rather small compared to the one where you'll need three or even more; eventually, the lost dps will catch up (and rather fast, sadly enough). Not saying your choice is bad but there's always two sides to it. When I still used the Prime, I never really had that much of a problem with the second shot's recoil. Though, I kinda ditched it a long time ago, so I can't (or shouldn't) really say too much about it anyway. :satisfied:

55% makes a difference, you will have to sacrifice a slot.  maybe an extra bane/cleanse slot ?

That'd be, bluntly put, quite stupid as it would be the same as Serration and the like (you'd always have it equipped because there is no reason not to) which is the exact opposite direction from where 'mod economy' should be going to. Primed Banes are already a very real option since their introduction; people just deny them for whatever reason (can't math, don't want to max them which admittely is ridiculously expensive, 'no free slot' while slotting an inferior 90% elemental mod instead (just as in the vid above; also, what's with that lone Vital Sense? Further, not having the 90% elemental would increase the number of Slash procs which will further increase damage done past the normal damage calculation)).

As it has already been said, replacing Heavy Caliber on accuracy-dependent weapons is also a very real option. As for Primed Cryo Rounds, I never understood why people would even consider running this mod unless they run 4x CP 100% of the time (at which point you trivialised the game to the point of non-existence anyway, so whatever); in any other case, you either gimp your procs and/or get a theoretical damage boost on paper that isn't worth much in high level scenarios.

Rule of thumb: non-crit weapon? Best mod after Serration and Split Chamber in almost all cases. Potential (definite, depending on accuracy preference and status) option on crit weapons up to, I think, 30% crit chance and no 3x multiplier (it's been a while since I last calculated this) and where you don't want to aim every shot (i.e. Bladed Rounds). Rivens may or may not change the above for crit weapons but you (probably) won't have them for all your favourites anyway, so yeah.

Ah yes, I did try them (together with hammer shot), but I found them way too unreliable.

Strange, Corrosive always was reliably stronger for me (vs. lvl145 heavies).

That is a nice riven, I'm guessing you got your build to 100% status?

99.5% after multishot but naturally, it's still a bit of a gamble. Though, above Sortie level, it'll proc eventually and still kill faster with Bleed.

  12. I'm kind of surprised to see Vital Sense actually being surpassed by anything but it's Primed Chamber after all. Though, in any other case, crit mods complement each other way too much to leave one of them out. As for the other mod, punch through will increase your damage by way more than any of the others could ever do. Sure, if you do an Assassination or something, you have a set target but other than that, there are way too many enemies in this game not to make use of it. It's also way too satisfying in those corridors :D

Another suggestion: dual stat mods. The additional Corrosive procs easily outdamage the 90% elemental mods at higher levels plus the occasional Slash procs will kill heavy targets mostly by themselves (though, they're much more rare on the Prime; the normal Vectis is more reliable in that regard).

I'm rather interested if you notice the +recoil of the Riven at all. Is it problematic on rapid second shots or is it alright? Either way, very nice rolls. I'm using this one right now and am satisfied as well (the status for more Slash procs makes it a viable hybrid). Thanks for the crunching =D

  13. 15 minutes ago, Xyhon said:

I use mainly builds and weapons that combine status + crit. Which is requiring use of all slots, and don't justify replacement. Also, Rivens. They outclass these Primed Bane. But to each their own.

For viable hybrid weapons, that may be true in almost every case but for any non-crit viable weapon, Primed Banes are easily superior to their alternatives 99% of the time. On status only weapons, it greatly depends but in general, you'll have one slot and they're definitely way stronger than e.g. a 90% elemental mod.

In either case, additional config slots are long overdue and there's no reason not to implement them. Unless server capacity is an issue again but in that case, they could even charge for them, so whatever.

  14. I just read up on this as I was quite out of the loop and oh well... So apparently, they changed hit-scan shotguns to get status mods applied to the whole shot rather than the individual pellets but left out projectile weapons for whatever reason. 100% status might've not worked on projectile weapons to begin with but it's hard to tell since Zarr in barrage mode was pretty much the only weapon that could've reached it anyway (with Catalyzer Link and a Riven (two buffs plus curse as the only way to reach a +100% status roll, welp)).

Anyways, there's no reason to leave out projectile weapons on either of the both 'mechanics'. But they probably won't bother since it merely affects four(?) weapons (Cernos Prime, (Mara) Detron, Drakgoon, and Zarr) of which only two can reach 100% when very special conditions are met.

  15. The most important thing you should do is to add punch through. Amprex' chain effect is what makes its AoE capability as good as it is and adding punch through will allow you to multiply that effect since every enemy hit with the main beam will produce these arcs to other targets, practically multiplying your damage output by a multitude of what any other mod could potentially add.Though, it is optional, you should also consider trying out Sinister Reach since it increases not only the range of the main beam but also that of the subsequent arcing ones and therefore highly increases the overall performance of the weapon but with Rivens and all, it can be hard to fit in.

As for these Rivens, they aren't bad but not good either. Elemental rolls don't really add all that much; the % damage of the second one posted is also quite diminished by the usual usage of Serration plus Heavy Caliber.

    Damn, I'm jealous :P

  16. Yeah, the Prime model is smaller than the PBR Braton and the collision doesn't change upon using the Solstice skin which results in this very eww and way too longstanding bug. There's also another bug where its clip gets moved to the back of the weapon for the rest of the mission by shooting as per:

What I think is strange, is the concept behind the buff/nerf to secondary shotguns.

    1) You buff to make weapons better so more people use it right?

    2) Your buff comes with a nerf so part of the weapons are MAYBE buffed depending on how you play them. Double dmg on twin kohmak with more recoil, spread and dmg fall off? MR 12? What?

    3) The effective range on some of these are on melee range or PRIMARY SHOTGUN RANGE.

    4) Is there any sane mind who will use ANY of these weapons with same mechanics, range etc when you can use Tigris Prime, Boar Prime, Strun Wraith, HEK etc etc etc. Off course there will be those kind of " I love this weapon, I only i use this weapon since the Reagan era bla bla bla"  type of guys. But come on.

This wont make these weapons more appealing unless you specifically love secondary shotguns.

    ^This.

I really wonder what they're so afraid of; on the one hand, they release weapons like Tigris Prime and Galatine Prime - frequently referred to as Power Creep Prime - and on the other hand, they can't even leave dispositions for weapons alone that can't get into a remotely good spot after those changes. Akbronco Prime will still do no damage (well, perhaps if you stand literally inside of a bunch of Corpus with 100% Gas but that's about it), Detron got the Ignis treatment where they're so afraid that they had to give the Mara less damage than the base version, and Pyrana, well, has been described enough already.

Besides, those damage fall-off values are all over the place as if someone put random numbers in (normal Detron almost has its former damage at maximum fall-off (14 vs 15) while every other weapon is decreased in that regard by one third across the board). Also, a lot of these changes make no sense: increasing Mara's crit chance from 2.5 to 5%? Thanks for 1.23% increased average damage, I guess. Or Bronco Prime's crit multiplier from 1.5 to 2x while leaving its crit chance at 2.5%. Good stuff. (Edit: I just read that it brought Bronco Prime in line with its dual counterpart; still pointless, though).

    Oh, and by the way:

    Spoiler

    993b73d5f1.jpg

Could reach 100% status with two dual stat mods pre-patch.

    137.7% multishot pre-patch.

Thanks for the downgrades, really appreciate it.

The Antimatter Drop particle is often sticking to Nova's arm. Multiple particles will orbit Nova. I've never seen this before the Ambulas update so I figured it was worth mentioning.

I just had this happening as well, on her arm(s), torso, or even on the Sentinel above. Did you use the Augment? I did which was quite .. detrimental at times since all fire was concentrated pretty much at myself :D

I was in as a client but can't say yet if it's a factor here. Oh, and am on PC, so it's happening globally.
