  1. I SO agree with the OP.

Here are (9) reasons why the old exterminate mission was better.  It allowed me to try to use my (1) weapons and warframes past their boundaries or limits. I liked knowing that I had a (2) place to hide, all I had to do was to back tracked if I got into real trouble. When I reached that magic number I knew I made it and I could end the mission any time I wanted. Also once the enemy count was reached, I could taking my time - I enjoyed looking around and seeing all the hard work DE's graphics design department did on making new tile sets or on improving the old ones (that cool lighting they're doing is really great). I liked being able to run around finding (3) secret rooms, working on (4) solving puzzles, or going back for that (5) loot I just passed without getting shot, hunting down an (6) Ayatan Treasure that I needed, or finding things like (7) medallions or (8) Kuria's. Sometimes I would just go off exploring looking for (9) bugs to report on some of the maps/tile sets. It was just nice knowing the threat of dying and failing the mission wasn't there anymore because the objective was completed.  I agree that certain missions can be group rushed and that's all well and good. But if I choose to take my time, I would also choose to run the mission alone.

There is a problem too when more enemies start spawning in, the green extraction symbol on the map disappears and in most cases doesn't come back due to all the extra red enemy dots. Now comes the wandering about trying not to die while finding the proper pathway to the extraction point. And even when I get 50M or less from it, it still did't show itself as the extraction point!

So why didn't this new Exterminate just get added in as an extra mission type and get named something like "Limited Survival"? Because this is certainly NOT a true exterminate anymore. They don't "run away." Their "will" is not broken. It's now just another tedious shoot your enemy again and again and again killing game.

  2. Ok, I just finished an Exterminate mission. It was an Alert for  5 - Synthula on the Kuva Fortress map. (1:00 AM Local time on the date of this post) The alert had 5 min left so I decided to solo'd it.

(Background - I did like the old exterminate mission. I liked knowing that when I reached that magic number it was time to extract because the mission was over. Once the enemy count was reached, I could now take my time - take in and enjoy all the hard work DE's graphics design department has spent on making new and re-doing some of the old tile sets. I can go find loot I need like medallions or Kuria's.  It's just nice knowing the threat of dying and failing the mission was over. NOT ANY MORE.)

Problem 1. I reached that magic number but when more enemies start spawning in, the green extraction symbol on my map disappears and in most cases doesn't come back due to all the extra red enemy dots. Now I have to wander about trying to find the proper pathway to get to extraction. And even when I was 50M from it, it still did't show itself as an extraction point! This is VERY ANNOYING and the threat of dying and failing the mission is still very viable. It's just not worth the so called improvements of this new extraction mission.

Problem 2. The Alert reward was not given. WHY? I checked my current supply, there was no increase. I checked last mission results menu, it's not listed. I always thought that as long as you are "In the mission," it didn't matter if the time of the alert expires. WHEN DID THIS CHANGE? (New feature or retro bug?)

So DE why didn't you just add another mission type and name it "Limited Survival"? Because this is NOT a true exterminate anymore. They don't run away. Their will is not broken. It's now just another tedious enemy after enemy after enemy killing game.

  3. I have seen this happen pretty regularly and about the only thing I can say it happens when there is a Nidus on the team. When the enemy is unreachable, all progression stops then.  Then when the host drops out or off and the game is re-hosted, the same unreachable enemy shows back up making the mission unfinishable

  4. Bringing out the salt. Come on DE... fix this already. I am just trying to get enough kuva to build the stupid Orvius (needs 4k) (btw - which most players say isn't worth it anyways but it looks like I'll never find out!) I have been farming kuva for several hours each day, for several days now. I can tell you this I won't be cycling a riven mod. Its just NOT going happen... so thanks for putting all that software effort into that feature that I wont use. You have made kuva a commodity way to rare and farming for it worse than grinding for a prime part. Is this truly they way you want the people that play this game to feel?

Ok, it has been another day and another 6 runs of missions to get kuva... I only needed enough to get the siphon spawned twice, However, as my luck would have it on the 6th mission run, the second siphon did spawn but then it glitched at the 6 of 8 (6/8) kuva clouds filling it. I think I had destroyed 3 out of the 4 nozzles. I was doing a solo exterminate mission and I had killed over 400 enemies (because enemies spawn in ENDLESSLY during the siphoning part) until I finally just gave up and went to extraction. The siphon was obviously stuck and would not suck in any more kuva clouds. If anyone knows how to unstick this when it happens please tell me because I tried everything I knew (such as returning to MY spawn point, dying, typing /unstuck, etc). It took another 15 missions to get that siphon to respawn again !!! Seriously DE lets improve this.

  5. 6 minutes ago, The.Red.King said:

No, but it's needed. I see so many people rush through things because they don't want to actually work for it. Game's not fun when you camp and do nothing. And yes, spamming a weapon is doing nothing when it's $&*&*#(%&ly OP and you can't get hit. But go ahead guys. Keep exploiting like lazy people. Go ahead and think you shouldn't have to work for things. You're just screwing it up for yourselves. Personally I don't care about the beams in that way. I'm just annoyed that DE's ignoring other issues that need to be fixed before removing a camping spot.

Exactly my point, there will always be campers and camping spots. Rather than worry about who or how campers camp, lets focus on these other software bugs that have been here since I don't know. They need to and should be given priority over this other stuff. Bugs that are over a year old? Come on, that's an embarrassment.

  6. > Removed beams above the cryopod area in the Infested Defense level.

Well, another example of slowly draining away the fun and not fixing the things that are annoying us game players playing this game.

Example perhaps? How long have we seen the glitch for clients trying to complete the mission challenge of finding a mod treasure reward or perhaps hacking a console. Years?!

  7. Problems with Star Chart 3.0 / Hotfix 4 -

    1. I still can't get to the Orokin Derelict Mobile Defense mission to run it. Its blacked out meaning locked.  Which should mean I have to do another prerequisite mission that is before it and string tied to it, the Orokin Derelict Defense. No matter how many times I have done this Orokin Derelict Defense mission it never unlocks the ODmd and it never completes the ODD for me. This is an invalid write-up. Did some research and realized that keys are not completely done away with since the update to Star Chart 3.0. There are Dragon keys as well as Orokin Derelict keys that must be made via the foundry to obtain. Once in ownership of these keys then those missions can be run. So having made a proper Orokin Derelict Mobile Defense Key I can now do that mission. I also now realize that these Orokin mission will never be completed, a white state. They will always be in a state of either Blue (showing the number of keys in your possession) or black (having no keys). Thank you for showing me the number of keys DE, thats what triggered my understanding of what was going on.

    2. When Star Chart 3.0 came out, the Mutalist Alad V assassinate mission on Eris is blacked out for me. I'm guessing that when the start chart came out, it caused or reset all boss missions to show up as incomplete, a Black state, unless it is next to a completed mission then it would be Blue, right? But this one is in black. What I am wondering or needing to know is what is required to complete it since it is sitting out all alone by itself with no strings ties on it at all. Shouldn't it at least be blue?  This is an invalid write-up. After researching, I realized that a key was needed to unlock the Mutalist Alad V assassinate mission. (Keys are not completely done away with since the update to Star Chart 3.0 came out)

    3. Ran a spy mission on Jupiter as required by the Saturn Junction located there. The spy mission I ran was on Adrastea and I completed the 3 data extractions needed, with no alarms I might add, but I received no credit for doing so at the junction. I even ran the mission 3 times just incase there was a wording problem and you guys meant to run the mission 3 times instead of the data extraction. Resolved with Hotfiix 5, Thank you

    4. (Before Hotfix 4) I ran and completed an infested outbreak mission invasion type (assassination) where Phorid had manifested himself at. I did not get credit for it at the Eris Junction located on planet Pluto. I did not see that you fixed this in the notes for hotfix 4. Resolved with Hotfiix 6, Thank you

    5. Three clan teammates and I, in which I wasn't the host, ran and completed a 20 wave defense mission on Stofler on planet Lua (the moon),  as required by the Eris Junction located at Pluto. Myself and another team mate never received credit for this mission. The host however did get credit.  I did not see that you fixed this in the notes for hotfix 4.

As a follow on to #5, on a good many instances on these junctions, not just the Eris Junction, when 3 members of a team run and complete the junction requisite, only 2 of the 3 players get credited with completing the challenge. The 3rd team member is left out and doesn't get junction credit. It is always one of the clients but never the host.

Your attention to fixing these issues is greatly appreciated.

BTW - Star Chart 3.0 is pretty cool.

  8. Okay DE, I just finished the Kela Assassination for sortie 3... This was the ABSOLUTE worst sortie you guys have EVER put together. On top of needing a team, and completing the first 2 sorties, and having all of them needing to have 100 judgement points for the 3rd... She was just way to OP.  It took literally well over an hour to kill her. I will NEVER do this particular sortie again. Did any of your team even try this.  I would pay money to see Rebecca successfully do this mission. Get back to the fun guys.

  9. Well, I for one appreciated your post. I could not get into Kela De Thaym's court to do the assassination mission any more either. I clearly have accumulated 375 judgement points as indicated on my Navigation station in my Liset. The wiki indicated that is costs 50 judgement points each time you run this mission.  I have ran this mission several times before (before the update?) and it did not remove the judgement points. Where are the current judgement points tracked at? I think there is a definite bug here. Running more missions is increasing my total judgement but I still cannot get into Kela De Thaym's court to do the assassination mission. I guess I will keep adding to this number and see what happens.

  10. Update 17 has just been released.  A plethora of fixes were released, however they have now added to this bug.

Now, the first (1st) slot and the second (2nd) slot's polarity can not be changed. The first slot errors with "Exilus" slot can not be changed and the second one with "Aura"

  11. These bugs have been seen multiple times ever since I have started to grind away on infested tower missions.

    1. Running a "Solo" Sabotage mission (OD-Sab), I come to the map tile set that where it's very easy to fall off.  Its the one with many vines running horizontally between and through the doorways (no floor to walk on). For what ever reason, when I get pushed off one of those vines and I re-spawn I loose my carrier.  My sentinel (Carrier Prime) doesn't come back after the fall. This is annoying.

    2. Running a survival mission with friends (OD-Sur) and another person is the host. We have good voip and all is going well. There is no lag. The infested AIs are starting to get heavy and one of us (who is not the host) start to take too much damage and goes down. After getting revived, the person that was down has lost all gear material and has no powers that would be equivalent to a level 30 warframe.  This forces us to leave the mission and thereby not getting a long term reward (Rot C).

  12. I bugged out on this mission in the first tiles set (spawn tile) and could not rejoin my team.

Its an easy bug to duplicate.

Step 1. Get on the elevator to go up, without starting elevator, copter up elevator shaft and stand on protruding ledge.

Step 2. Wait for second player (or others) to get on elevator and start it going up.

Step 3. Watch as the elevator passes you by.

I fell to the bottom of the elevator shaft and asked for the elevator to come back down, but I could not jump up to get on it. Being a Nekros, I could not do anything to change my location.

I tried to use the '/unstuck' command but all that did was to just put me back down at the bottom of the elevator!

  14. Have you reached the daily rep cap?

Good question. I don't think I have.  It's based on Mastery Level. For me it would calculate out as MR 17 * 2000 = 3400 and then plus another 2000 more for a total of 36,000. There is no way in heck I could have gone through that much rep points in the 4 to 5 games I've played today.

Also, I would think it would have still shown the reputation menu just the points would have been "zeros."

    *** Posted a bit later on ***

Well all I can say NovusNova is that you may have been right.  Waited for the new daily reward and tried it again. It is working as it should now. The only reason I am not absolutely sure it was due to the daily cap limit was that we did have a hot-fix in between.

Something could be gleaned for DE here... how about a message saying daily cap reached? Now there's a thought.

    Thanks for your post.

  15. Here are the details:

    - I belong to Red Veil

    - I am wearing the sigil symbol on my front chest for the Red Veil.

    - I had just hit cap at 44,000 so I thought rather than pay for the next title, I would buy some offerings. I bought 5 ea charger specters. Reputation points went to 41, 500. (Plenty of room for earning more points)

    - My warframe was Vauban an the mission was Sechura.

    - I was playing as a client and did 30 rounds. Didn't believe it when I got nothing.

    - Played again as client and as a Host and did 5 rounds each. Same results

    - It is acting like I don't have my Sigil symbol even on. I am not getting the menu to even see my reputation points that should have been earned.

I tried relogging with no help.

Is this a vauban only thing?

  16. Actually there are two major glitches with the new boss room tile set on the ice planet (Naamah mission).

    1. Made my way to the boss room and while fighting the boss, another Corpus AI decided to trip the alarm which closed the doors and locked me in. After killing the boss, I hunted for 5 min trying to find the access panel to hack the alarm. It doesn't appear to exist in the boss room. Nothing showed up on the mini-map to give even a hint as to where to go. This lead to problem #2

    2. To the left when you enter the boss room, there a place as you head to the edge of the map that will cause the map to re-spawn you. However, it does not re-spawn you to a better place inside the boss room. Instead it spawns you back at the beginning of the map. Very frustrating...

Now you would think that getting re-spawned back at the beginning of the map would allow me to find a control panel and hack the alarm... but it didn't. Nothing but a closed and locked door at the beginning. Double frustrating.
