  1. So,

I was in a Defence mission when the Stalker came for me. However, right before he appeared, we cleared Wave 5 and he appeared while we were in the "Battle or Exit" menu..... needless to say, he still killed me. Had to use a Revive.

Pretty sure this doesn't need to be happening...

  2. I don't understand why this isn't an option already. Almost every game has a "Log Out" option and also an "Exit Game" option. Yes, we realize that that option is there in the Dojo. I don't just hang out in my Dojo, do you? I'm sitting on top of the solar system (or whatever that's supposed to be).

It really is an inconvenience to have to Log out and THEN exit the game. Yes, we're being lazy, but it's generally considered to be normal to have a button that does this from the main menu.

  3. The scaling is a bit ridiculous. While your Wave numbers are logarithimically higher than what I've witnessed, I have frequently regretted my decision of hitting "Battle" instead of "Exit Now" because of the false sense of security the Grineer left me in, hiding the fact that their entire armed forces was hiding right around the corner taking steroids and methamphetamine...

  4. Post says it all.

The update was not nearly explained enough. There are remarkably LESS options now than there were before. I personally made "mini-builds" for each faction, but they were near-about equally effective against other factions (for the most part). But now, I'm basically stuck with only using most weapons against one faction, and just dealing with it.

PS: Status Chance, bad idea. If I'm going to take the time to cover my ammunition in lethal poison, I am NOT going to cover only 5% of them in it.

  5. The black screen problem is an inherent bug with the peer-to-peer system. There are a multitude of things that can cause it, and DE has already fixed a few of them (the last few hotfixes have "fixed" it). It will never fully be fixed unless (until?) the game goes server-side instead of peer-to-peer. Not making any comments on whether it should or not; just saying that the bug is because of the way the game runs.

  6. Agreed with just about all of the posts already made. His utility skills are great: if you pick one, not both. His uber is great if you're playing a Corpus match; but at higher levels, all you do is just piss off the entire room and crucify yourself.

My problem with electricity, though. I understand the Infested not being affected as much by it; however, why are the Grineer? They say because of their armour.... well, then why isn't it amplified? Metal should conduct, unless for some reason they made their armour to be resistant to conductivity, which seems like more work than it would be worth on their part.

  7. Why have been upgrading my space ninjas and their immaculate technology with playing cards?

Would be nice to upgrade these high-tech war machines in a similarly high-tech way.

Imagine a nice 3D holograph of your weapon, and instead of filling up slots with cards, you can add "perks" (just a rename of "mod") to the particular parts of the weapon. Sounds confusing, let me expound.

Let's say you've got Serration on your rifle. Affects your damage, so let's say you now click on the magazine of your rifle (ammunition is the source of your damage, no?) and a nice little HUD prompts you asking what you'd like to do, and select "Serration". Or perhaps you click on the barrel, and a HUD pops up asking whether you'd like to add Split Chamber, or Suppression, etc. Makes more sense now?

Probably not the most dire of issues in the game, however it would make the game look stunning, in my opinion. Lots of work, yes, but could be very interesting. No true reworking of the mod system would be necessary, just changes in nomenclature and how you went about modding your weapons/warframes.

    Thoughts? Questions?

  8. Only commenting on the names of the abilities.

Time Lapse: I like it. It works.

Do-Over: Is this grade school? Déjà vu.

Ageing Swing/Slice: Let's keep the names related. Hands of Time

Freeze Frame: Sounds like this is one of Frost's. How about, Pause or something more time-related.

Nomenclature is important, just sayin'. The idea is cool, but would require DE's magic touch.

  9. DISCLAIMER: I have more Grineer missions than Corpus, but only because of the rewards. I am also mentally disturbed and always relate fiction to real life.

    1. The community has been split, and not evenly in half. This has created an underclass of players - the Corpus supporters - who are being persecuted and systematically attacked wherever they go. The tactics used against them by Grineer supporters are effectively cyber-bullying.

    2. The event has further eroded community trust in Digital Extremes to make logical decisions, due to the rewards of the missions. I always prefer people who use their brains (i.e. Corpus) to anti-intellectuals who reject facts and science (i.e. Grineer), but the incentives are blatantly in favor of the Grineer and everyone knows this.

    3. It is causing people to celebrate fascism and the rejection of critical thinking. Grineer supporters in fact explicitly state that "your tears are delicious" which means that they gain pleasure from causing harm to others. This will lead to enjoyment of genocide, book-burning, hazing, and binge-drinking in the future. People are also saying things like "Nobody wants a Prova Vandal" as if it were a fact, and this sort of repetition of talking points that are not verified by actual evidence is a typical tactic of fascist organizations that want to destroy peoples' ability to think critically.

I have a couple of problems with your statements. In order:

    1. This is true, however I would not use the term "cyber-bully" because of its growing potency in the professional world of psychology. Tensions are rising between the factions, but I don't quite feel that it has reached cyber-bullying standards, as the insults are in-game and not real-world related.

    2. This is completely off-base. If you watch live streams and prime times, you would know that the rewards have been planned this way; and it actually makes sense. The rewards will change, which makes sense militarily and tactically. The Grineer start off strong in their assault, and the Corpus underestimate things. However, the Grineer will exhaust their resources soon and the Corpus will become desperate.

    3. You say that people are stating "Nobody wants a Prova Vandal" as if it were fact, but aren't YOU stating "It is causing people to celebrate fascism" as if IT were fact? Not all Grineer supporters display this behavior ("Your tears are delicious").

  10. Very small, basic, yet convenient suggestion.

If you maximize the chat box (in lobby), it should stay open until you close it. Currently it's minimized by default; I don't remember to check it unless I happen to be looking at that part of the screen.

Could be thrown into a hot fix sometime; just a minor convenience.

  11. "Your Name Here is down!" should be penalty enough.

If you've ever made it to the 30 minute mark of any Survival, even Mercury's, you should know that the revive system isn't a God Mode by any means; you have to put yourself at risk to revive them (at times).

I would be open to seeing maybe an increase to the time it takes to revive a teammate (prolonging the risk) or maybe some sort of penalty (to shields or damage taken) to the person doing the revive only during the process. Increase the danger of stopping to help your teammate, who foolishly (or haphazardly, at least) got himself downed. Puts more weight on individuals to stay alive in order to prevent creating a haphazard situation for their teammates.

But, it's fine how it is, I think.

  12. I have to agree with Engelheim. I've been using the Torid on my Vauban, and I couldn't be happier. The Torid synergizes perfectly with Bastille and Vortex. I've been able to hold on the exit to Grineer Survivals for upwards of 10 minutes, just by keeping a Bastille or Vortex up and a torrent of frost-damage-infused tear gas grenades (I coloured the smoke to be white, but it turns out looking like tear gas).

  13. I love my Saryn so so so much.

Venom is devastating at high ranks; I've gone into new rooms to find things tagged with a spore that I cast minutes ago. Molt isn't a good as Loki's Decoy, but it serves the same purpose, just not for as long (It dies quickly when under fire). Great distraction when the Grineer are flanking you from all sides and you need a breather to reload and relocate.

I use the Soma or the Strun Wraith; if you don't have the Wraith, I'd suggest the Hek (but requires mastery rank 4). My pistols are usually Twin Vipers or Dual Vastos, and right now I'm using the Scindo for melee, but that's mostly just an experiment. I plan on putting on the Dual Ichors soon, because I'm not a fan of heavy weapons. Doesn't suit me very well.

Contagion, I don't use very often. On lower levels it can be fun, but I personally feel that the energy could be better used.
