  1. I like everything about it! I think the helm is probably a little too close to banshee's default helm, so that might need altering.

But I LOVE the skills, unique, useful, balanced. Well done!

  2. Dunno what you're talking about. It does just fine. 10k damage per shot to the head is just fine I think.

This isn't about damage. It's about fully auto rifles being more accurate than this weapon. There is no reason to use this weaker weapon by comparison.

Hmm. I could have sworn I've seen side by side animation checks on this for headshots, but damned if I can't find the videos now. It was also done prior Damage 2.0, which may have changed things further.

Have you tried testing this to really back it up? Is the accuracy a recoil/spread issue, or the sights not lining up properly? Or an inconsistency with the zooming?

It's fairly accurate. But it's equal to all the other rifles. A soma for example is just as accurate bursting. And as Archistopheles mentioned, the burston is just as accurate, but twice as effective.

Burston Prime is about twice as effective.

    That's all.

So does that mean Latron shouldn't be improved? I'm not sure which side of the argument you are on. ;)

  3. I've always felt like the latron was a quasi-sniper rifle (i know it's not a sniper rifle...) but at the very least i feel it should be more accurate than all of the fully auto rifles. Many of which out DPS the Latrons.

All of these fully auto rifles are as accurate or better than the Latrons:

    - Bratons

    - Karak

    - Grakata

    - Soma

    - Hind (5 round burst)

    - MK-1 Braton

    - Dera

Even with an accuracy boost it would still not out DPS many of these rifles, I think it would help give the Latrons a better place in the rifle arsenal.

(For the record I have good aim with the Latron, but the rifle could still be improved. So please no posts about "I have no problem with it") :/

  4. Right now it is advantageous to help the conquering faction, and not the defending one.

If the conquering faction wins, the invasion spreads to more nodes. This means more battle pay. If the defending team wins, it goes away with no extra battle pay.

Please add an incentive of some sort to help the defenders. Perhaps give a battle pay reward for ending the invasion entirely for example. Or (less fun) just up the defending side rewards by a small amount. 50k credits vs 60k credits.

I would prefer the final 'bonus' reward personally.

  5. Having a status applied to you displays in the same way normal damage is taken. For example when you are bleeding, you will see the red directional around your crosshairs, and it points to the enemy who applied the bleed.

This is not desirable because it can be confusing as to whether your shields are gone and you are taking health damage, or if it is just the bleed effect.

The way status effects display around the crosshair should be re-designed.

The idea is pretty simple, add the stats to the mod screen for each item. Right now it's only available on hover when viewing the overall arsenal. Ideally these stats would update as you equipped mods.

Even better would be having the changes highlighted for a few seconds. Example:
Adding a 90% elemental mod would show:
    90 COLD
Removing the same mod would show:
    - 90 COLD

These lines would fade to the regular stats after 5 seconds.

  7. A more interesting question, OP, is what other game that has the typical "Warrior, Mage, Thief" trope actually lets you switch your choice mid-game, unless you're leading a party. Only thing that comes to mind is TES series, but that's... well, a wide open sandbox RPG. Not really comparable.

Almost every game let's you delete your starting character and try a new one. This game does not let you delete your only warframe. Thus the problem.

  8. Excalibur is the paper boy of this game he was in unpublished Dark Sector, and has his armor form used in the Dark Sector that was released... Being upset that you have to play Excalibur is like being upset you have to play Sonic over Shadow. Given Shadow is far cooler than sonic. Sonic still is the main character...

If you believe that then new players should not be given a choice on their starting frame...

  9. it is actually hilariously easy to obtain Mag. Nef the boss you have to farm for her parts is the EASIEST boss in the game... hands down. Level up Excalibur, and build some decent weapons or buy braton. Then Mow down Nef several times till you get all three parts of mag the helmet, chassis, and systems. Then buy her Blueprint in the warframe blueprint section of the market. Build it all, and ta-dah you have a Mag.

This post is 100% correct. But missing a rather key element. Three days of building time. - "But three days is nothing!" - Three days is a long &#! time when you've only been playing a game two hours.

  10. I really wasn't interested in farming for what I wanted to begin with though I appreciate the helpful responses. Mainly thought I'd post to let the people who make the game know that for some of us, this setup is a deal breaker.

I've already deleted the game and likely wouldn't download it again at this point.

I did the EXACT same thing when I started. I would up rolling a new account instead.

    There really needs to be:

    - a way to delete your only warframe and pick one of the other starter frames.

    - a notice that while not a permanent warframe, that you will need to earn/farm the others.

    - a dojo style starting area where you can try out the 3 frames and figure out which one you want stick with (as you begin your journey).

As someone who did the EXACT same thing as you, I hope you take my advice and re-install it. This game is so much fun, I do not regret taking the extra effort to start over, despite this poor design choice. (remember it is beta) If the game looked intriguing enough for you to try in the first place, I would bet money that you will enjoy it as much as I have.

    Good luck.

  11. 1) Getting a message that is shown in multiple windows (mauve text, whispers, for example) will make all chat tabs blink announcing there is an unread message there. Even though the message was already seen in a different tab.

    2) Pop-up boxes steal the focus from the chat box. For example I will be typing to a trading partner, and they initiate the trade. The trade is accepted instantly because I was typing and approved the chat request by something I typed.

While this seems innocent enough it can cause more serious problems. Last night in an endless defense mission with my clan, we completed wave 5. I selected continue, and proceeded to start typing. At 2 seconds left I noticed that my typing had changed my choice to leave mission. I frantically tried to fix it but was too late. I 'completed the mission' and was removed. And since wave 5 had been completed, I was unable to rejoin.

  12. i feel you. not about arthritis but about "fused mostly everything".

now i don't know what to do. i have it all:S

you know maybe filter of some sort like - keep cores, keep this and that - rest is junk - sell.

I've wanted a method to 'lock' mods i will most likely never want to sell for a long time. Using a lock like this you can simply lock all the mods you want to keep, then click "sell all".

I wish we could hold shift and click all those mods we want to sell, highlighting them and then sell them all at once.Seems viable to me.DE you need to help us with this.I have 4000 plus extra mods to sell and oh i dread the task.

    Umm this already works.

    - click sell (with no mods selected)

    - start clicking on all the mods you want to sell

    - click sell again

  13. Consider the following.

Your increasing caliber on a bow

Caliber is the size of a projectile

Your basically using an oversized comedy arrow that doesn't fir the bow.

YOU try using a 10-foot arrow in a regular bow and aiming properly.

Uhh it's caliber, as in girth, not length. So instead of a 1 centimeter arrow, it would be a 2 centimeter arrow. Nothing about that says it needs to be 5x _longer_. Nothing about that says it needs to be 5x either. 2x damage, we can pretend is 2x size.

  14. Before HC was changed, people used stabilizer to cancel out the effects, however there was still more recoil than normal. However like you said, zero recoil weapons didnt have any negative effects. The devs did a good job balancing Heavy Caliber in 10.4

MushrooMars makes a good point btw

That's kind of my point. I believe stabilizer cancelling out the effects was _intentional_.

  15. Bows are just bad compared to other weapons, of all the primary and secondary weapons in the game bows are 4 out of the 5 lowest dps's in the game.

I hate to say it because i like bows a lot, but as it stands they are just bad.  the game moves to fast for them and to be honest the tenno draw bows like a geriatric.

In the time it takes a tenno to "full draw" historical mere humans could loose 4-5 full draw arrows. Unfortunately this means merely increasing damage won't help them, fire rate needs to be increased combined with making the damage for "snap shots" worth a damn.

As "space ninjas" I totally agree with this. They should be deadly accurate and fast as hell. I also wouldn't mind seeing some multishot action built into certain bows, like instead of a regular charge attack, you load 3 arrows instead of 1 type thing. Realistic for the average human? No. Space Ninja-y? Yes.

  16. Heavy Caliber was released as +damage +recoil. It was changed so that it actually affects weapons with 0 recoil.

But another mod was added in the same patch. Stabilizer reduces recoil. Because they were added at the same time. My belief is that they were meant to balance out the corrupted mod if one desired.

But changing Heavy Caliber without also changing Stabilizer means that they cannot balance the corruption affect anymore.

    My opinion:

Stabilizer should be changed to match heavy calibers downside, +accuracy instead of -recoil. Or heck, keep stabilizer as is and just add a new mod for +accuracy and nothing else.

  17. My problem with heavy caliber is that they changed it so that it affects weapons with 100% accuracy. But another mod added in the same patch was not also changed. Stabilizer remains weapon recoil. My belief is that since they were added in the same patch, one balancing the other. But changing one but not the other leaves it imbalanced by the extra mod.
