  1. Not sure if this counts as a spoiler, so please remove the tag if unnecessary.
A while back when the Buried Debts Operation came out, I was very excited for discovering more lore. I played through the Operation and eventually found Deck 12. Upon entering the area, there was a bit of dialogue and that was it. No fight, no mission markers, no nothing. Since I had no tutorial to follow, I exited feeling kinda disappointed and forgot the whole thing. Only some time later I found out it was just bugged and I missed an apparently exciting fight.

Fast-forward to a few minutes back. I was chilling and fishing around caves when I remembered about Deck 12. I decided to give it a shot and see if I can get a continuation. Entering Deck 12 did indeed start the conversation and the Exploiter jumped in. I don't know if there were supposed to be mission markers, but only by looking around randomly and Rude Zuud's not-so-enlightening guidance I managed to destroy the vents on Exploiter and later randomly found the Thermia Condenser. I activated it (even though I didn't have the required item on me) and was instructed to grab the Condensed Thermia Canisters. I eventually found them and grabbed one. Unfortunately, after dying and reviving four times, I discovered that I cannot throw the canisters. I tried binding secondary fire to another key, but to no avail.

So now my Nezha is sitting alone, in solo mode, inside Deck 12 with the exit door not opening and no revives. Eventually I will have to just die one last time and lose all the fish and ores I gathered in my one hour of playing.

    Color me disappointed and frustrated.

So uhm... You are the Tenno, You operate these powerful machines, You do all the fighting, all the movement, You are the soul and the mind of the warframes (except umbra - he has his own) and yet you can't do any of that jumps, slides, or wallruns in your body... To control a warframe, first you will have to control yourself, "If you are nothing without the suit, you don't deserve it" So why can't we just do some parkour as we do in our warframes - not the same, but something to make us feel powerful outside our battle machines - We need new movement for the operator, DE! And a Clem Prime but we all know Clem is already perfect...

I always viewed the whole Transference thing a bit like that anime, Sword Art Online. The player uses this machine to enter an alternate reality where he can do anything etc etc. However, the fact that he KNOWS HOW and is PHYSICALLY ABLE to wield huge swords inside the game, does not mean he isn't a fat blob in real life.

What I mean is that yes, Tenno know how to parkour around and they know how to use every single weapon there is, but their actual bodies are simply not able to. The exact same way they cannot use Void powers while in the Warframes.

  3. Loza, the parasite theory is very well structured and can stand on its own but I have my objections;

If I may, how do we know this? To my knowledge, there's no indication of this in-game, just that it is. Yeah, there's void fissures, but since those deposit things in the void out of it, it seems they're just random events.

Well, a clear indication is the corruption process. Anything that enters the Void becomes corrupted, reshaped and a servant to the Void. Having that, wouldn't it be same to assume that it aims to expand and swallow more, much like black holes do? What is more, I do not think it would "dominate" the galaxy by using fissures to invade other planets, but rather drive whole planets inside it. We already saw it happen to Lua, for different reasons. If I were to take a wild guess, I would say the Tenno have the collective power to shove a planet into the Void, and The Man in The Wall could have enough influence to make them do it.

Wally also comments on how the "In-kids don't care about the invisible outs" and how "If you were alone in that drift, you'd need a friend... even like me." which seems to indicate that Wally at least seems to view Rell as a friend (I doubt the feeling's mutual).

I enjoy the idea of TMW mirroring the host's personalit, but I disagree to the "friend" part. We know he talks in a mocking, jokester manner, so by friend he meant nothing more than "accomplice" or "related". Disregarding the parasite theory, Palladino clearly mentions how the Tenno imprisoned, rather than hosted him. Thus, he should see them as his "prison wardens", highly dangerous and aware of his existence. On another note, the "In-kinds don't care about the invisible outs" part possibly refers to some third-reality concepts or he is talking about the true depth of the Void. If he really is a parasite, why would he want the Tenno to see said invisible outs? They would only make them more powerful. He can cause psychological trauma and feed off their emotions in a whole variety of ways, but revealing the Void's secrets is definitely not beneficial for him.

Also, sorry for the belated reply, it was around midnight when I started the thread and I kind of passed out. 😛

The man in the wall kinda like the outsider in dishonored in many ways, and i like it.

Dishonored being one of my favourite games ever, in both lore and world-building, I am very excited that someone mentions it! I thought of this too, but the Outsider does not interact with humans. He feels emotions, like The Man in The Wall, but he does not teleport us around etc lol

  4. I felt the need to discuss about The Man in The Wall (shortened TMW, I guess) so here goes:

With the recent addition of the Chimera Prologue in the game, we can all agree that TMW is possibly one of the most interesting characters in the Warframe lore who will, in my opinion, play a highly important role in the future. If the thread title was not clear enough, I am going to be spoiling the Chimera Prologue slightly. (Sorry I cannot put the spoiler drop-down thing, but I always fail Bb code and I will just look like an idiot).

The Chimera Prologue itself starts with TMW taunting the Tenno with Lotus' helmet, obviously having fun while toying with the Operator's feelings of loss. He then shows the Tenno through Orokin halls, mocking them all along the way and finally leading us to what I presume to be Ballas' hiding spot or living quarters in the Sentient stronghold. I wish to focus on TMW's role is this, so I will be skipping Ballas' interactions with the Tenno.

My first observation was that the Tenno seemed to have actually been teleported to a location in Lua. This implies that TMW has physical influence on the Tenno, additionally demonstrated by the fact that he can attack through ghost-like creatures. Later on, the Tenno (still in their Warframe) falls in a deep whole. A transition to our Operator occurs, who then approaches TMW (who is posing as The Lotus in the Apostasy Prologue) and is put in what I believe to be a "dream" (the special kind of dreams Tenno have).

An obvious question to ask would be: "Why would TMW use a vision, if he can teleport us around?". Well, I would suspect that since he is a creature closely related to The Void, his powers would be much more prominent in Lua, which I expect to have strong Void energy, since it came OUT of it. The "dream" theory is further supported from two other things: First, throughout the rest of the mission, our Operator is constantly in Void mode. Second: Ballas does not seem to see the Tenno, but rather feel their presence.

So, now that we went through HOW TMW helped the Tenno, let us think WHY he helped the Tenno.

An obvious requirement to understanding one's motives and goals is understanding their nature and origins. We know next to nothing about TMW, other than the following: a) He is a side-effect, or rather a personification of the Void b) He most vividly exists in the Operator's dreams, visions, consciousness etc. c) He refers to the Operator the same way their father did d) He expressed interest, and succeeded, in consuming the Kuva flask. From these we can deduce that he is the manifestation of the Void, appearing as the Tenno imagine him. With the consumption of the Kuva, his powers grew further, giving him more power over the Operator.

As to the reason behind his actions, I find to be the most vague of all. We know that the Void seeks to consume creatures and planets and expand itself. TMW being what he is, it would make sense to assume he acts purely out of self-interest, seeking to free himself from the Tenno, find an opportunity in the middle of the upcoming Sentient war and consume as much of the galaxy as he can.

However, I personally do think (and hope) that his goals are not this shallow. It would be fun if he was led by curiosity or desire for revenge, but that is a theme constantly repeated in video games and movies. I expect that he is "helping" us march towards something much, much greater, acting as some sort of prophet, paving the way towards a new war that will reshape the galaxy. Lastly, I think the Void will certainly play a huge part it what is to come, acting as a weapon, an enemy, an ally or something inbetween. All in all, we can only wait and trust in the creative genius that is DE.

Sorry for the extremely long thread. Thank you very much for watching, please leave your opinions and views and hopefully we can shed some more light in The Man in The Wall.

You would of hated the old old days when it took hundreds of runs on T4D for loki systems. As others have said just keep grinding the relics. Actually run them later after the vault closes

Yeah, I remember the old system. I remember doing a 40-wave defense for those Ash P Systems when he first game out (they were expensive I think?) and we got them on the 40th wave, but apparently I was too happy to press Extract so I was left alone in the mission and lost them. I have felt the pain.

Also, thanks to everyone who suggested solutions to this whole torture. I didn't actually think of running the relics after I gather some, I just have the "I got the relic, so I have to open it now!" mindset. I might actually try that.

  6. I don't even know if I'm supposed to post this here, but I really just need to vent some frustration.

A few minutes ago I finished my ~30th Ukko run on Void, grinding for Neo R1 Relics. Out of those ~30 runs, I got 6 of said relics. I Radshared all 6 of said relics. Out of those 6 Radshares, I got zero Rhino Prime Blueprints. Combined with the time it took to farm 600 Void Traces (in order to RAD the relics), it is safe to say I devoted around four hours in a Prime part which I never acquired.

Again, I am not here to bash Warframe (I love this game), or make the usual "omg de plz fix rng i dont like so much grind" comment. I just felt the need to say this somewhere. If this topic is not allowed on the board, please go ahead and remove it.

  7. Dear DE,

Please fix your god-awful squad/cell system. It is not even funny anymore. One of the reasons I previously abandoned the game was because of the innumerable connection issues. I tried port-forwarding, changing in-game and launcher settings etc. but nothing could keep me from being kicked from the squad in the most crucial of moments. I returned to the game a month ago and thought all was good. Connections were fairly stable and many things had been fixed.

That is until I decided to play a long Defense Void Fissure today. Me and my squad aimed for 30 waves which, for me, is a great feat. We would've easily made it, however dear old Warframe decided it should do a "Host Migration" in the 28th wave. Result; I couldn't connect back in and lost the prime stuff I so wanted to gather. Looks like no more Prime shopping for me this time, because I sure as hell am not going through this again. I just hope my teammates got all their things.

    Thank you

  8. So, recently (5th July 2015) around eight at night, there was an alert for some credits and a Pendragon Excalibur Helmet. Besides the extremely unfair underwater places where you can die more than 5 times because of viral damage, there was a really (not) fun bug; We were supposed to exterminate 168 enemies, and when we reached 159, we were told to go to the extraction point. If 1 or 2 people were at the extraction point, it would say that we're waiting for one more person (we were a 3 man squad) but once the third member came to the extraction, any dialogue disappeared and we were stuck there. Unfortunately, we had to abort the mission and lose all rewards because the alert had ended. I'm not sure if this happens in other missions too, this is the first time happening to me.

PS: There is an underwater spot (I'm pretty sure the maps are randomly generated so I can't know the exact location) where any player that steps there, he get's stuck inside the floor, in a small empty space. We had to run around that space for quite some time until we found an exit. We also had to use Rhino's ''Charge'' and Excalibur's ''Slash Dash'' abilities to get out.

I really hope these bugs get fixed because it's a pretty big struggle to play with them :/
