And that's exactly why this topic is raised.

It's more of a statement of fact than a topic to be discussed, though. That's my point.

I'm not against new and cool looking skins, but if they're going make "primitive" skin versions of our favorite WF's, then why not just create an official statement saying, "hey guys, we noticed you liked the excal and nyx proto skins so much, we decided to add more! We know it's not lore related, but we're sure you'll like them!" I don't think they will though, because they've already stated Dark Sector isn't official canon to the WF universe, just inspired by it.

Could it be possible...and just bear with me here...is it possible that these new proto skins are a precursor to a Dark Sector 2 game that officially ties WF and DS1 together?

  2. So my game crashed on a defense mission (I think it was a video crash, as the game slowed down quite a bit when my screen got cluttered), I assumed if I relaunched and reconnected I'd retain all my rewards, including EXP. Apparently this isn't true. I guess next time it would just make more sense to not even bother trying to redeem 20 minutes worth of EXP. It would seem more efficient to leave my team hanging and go do something else. After all, that's what your system obviously encourages. I'm not even ranting about how infuriating it is to waste 20 minutes of my gaming time for literally nothing.

Please fix this. There's no reason why we should be "punished" for our game crashing, especially if we reconnect to the mission session and finish it up.

  3. I too am a returning player. I joined up back in 2015, and didn't really feel attached to the game because it was all really confusing, and the grind for even some of the most basic items didn't feel like it was worth my time (here's looking at you, Kubro egg). Coming from games like Age of Conan, WoW, GW2, etc. I knew what I wanted it a game, and I didn't feel like it was in WF. Either way, I dumped 20 USD on plat and decked out my Excal. I had fun, but the community presence wasn't there, so I quit.

Now I am extremely excited for this game, and am more than willing to dump a little more money into it. I still won't buy prime access because I believe the plat needs to be removed from it for pricing reasons ("the rent is too damn high!" -Black Mayor Dude), but I wouldn't mind buying more straight plat. Also, the community seems more close knit. This game is pretty redpilled too, which is awesome: some story elements and factions really activate my almonds.

I'll be looking forward to playing more of this game as my new favorite along-side MechWarrior Online in the months to come. Happy hunting!

  4. I have been playing for at least 30 hours now, and I just have lost all interest. It's such a shame too.

The truth is; this game is absolutely amazing. However, I'm tired of staying pleb. My Excaliber (of whom I'll be sticking with!) just looks too pleb. So for about a week I took a break. You see, gear grinds don't bother me. My father was an EQ player before me, and I, his son, has taken the mantle by playing EQ and WoW back in the days of MMO glory.

I regret to inform that I have just spent my first $20.00 on this game for cosmetic purposes only, and I feel (or fear) I might dump as much money on this game as I have on GW2. God help me.

On the bright side of things: the Codex Astartes (All Hail the Emperor!) states that those who don't support amazing developers financially shall be branded as heretics.

  5. I don't understand why the game simply refuses to let me join other people's matches. When I go look at a mission most of the time it says 1-2 squads are available, and it also shows a side-scrolling list of everyone doing that mission. I hit play, it saids "waiting for players", and nothing happens. If there are 1-2 squads open then let me join one! It especially makes no sense considering these stats:

Out of 24k players online RIGHT NOW, at least 10k of them have to be east coast. I have my max ping set to no limit BTW. What's the explanation for this?
