  1. How do critical hits work with weapons that hit multiple enemies in one shot? If my weapon has a 30% crit chance and punchthrough, is that a 30% chance that I critically hit All enemies that I hit with that shot, or is it a 30% chance per enemy hit that that particular enemy will be critically hit?

Also, if it's the first option, where a crit means that every enemy you hit with that shot is critically hit, does Hunter Munitions work in the same way? Ie, if you critically hit 5 mobs with one shot, is it a 30% chance that all of them will take a slash proc and a 70% chance that none of them do? Or does each individual unit have a 30% chance of taking a slash proc?

  2. Fishing and Mining resources are the only resources in the game that I can think of that you cannot get as mission rewards or from killing enemies - which means that if you want to gather them then you basically have to stop playing the game (with Fishing you can't even explore the beautiful open world landscape at the same time). Because you have to stop playing the actual game to get the resources, wouldn't it make sense if:

    A) The resources were only used to make cosmetic items that don't effect the gameplay

    and/or

    B) There was another way to gather the resources, if not from enemy drops then from an equivalent to distilling/titan extractros - Fishing drones, paying local fishermen, say?

    Venting about fishing:

    Spoiler

From a personal standpoint - I understand that some people find fishing relaxing, but I absolutely hate fishing. I'd rather do my real life job than play a fishing minigame (in any game), and having to do fishing to get amp parts is driving me up the wall. To build a Juttni brace I need to catch Norg Fish. In order to catch Norg Fish I need to catch Sharrac and Karkina to make bait. In order to catch Sharrac and Karkina I need to catch other fish to make twilight bait. I've been away from the game for about a year (I've been playing for about a week this time around), but preparing to catch 4 different kinds of fish with 2 different kinds of bait in order to make one amp part is making me want to put the game straight back down again.

  3. I picked up a bounty from Konzu, and went through the first set of doors leading to the plains. I got added to an existing squad, who failed the bounty as I was waiting by the second set of doors to enter the plains proper. I then couldn't leave through either set of doors. The loading icon in the bottom left wasn't there and didn't appear at either door. Leaving the squad didn't help. I had to pause the game and abort mission (back to the Cestus dock) to get out of the room.

DE wants to know why would you wanna use a Extractor for fishing and mining and miss out on the beautiful landscape?

I'm enjoying exploring and questing in the beautiful landscape (and to that end, mining isn't as awful as fishing is), but I want to pull resources from the corpses of my enemies (like you do in the rest of the game), not stare at water for hours on end. If I wanted to play a fishing minigame (and I can't imagine what situation that would be - I'd rather do my real life job), I'd play WoW. At least there I can watch a video on my phone at the same time.

  5. Hi all,

I haven't played in about a year (sometime during the Octavia's Anthem update), and I've just logged in today, and straight after I've put my password in it came up sith this selection to pick a focus school (screenshot below). It didn't give any explanation as to why it's asking, the screen below is literally the first thing that appeared when I logged in. When I last played, I had most of one tree unlocked (the healing one, can't remember what that's called), and I think I had started unlocking another. I had focus lenses on most of my forma'd gear. What's it asking me to pick one now for? What will it determine, and how easy to change that decision will it be?

  6. Enemies in Excavation missions will randomly stop spawning, making it impossible to continue progressing. This happens to me roughly 1 in every 4 missions, regardless of which planet/level, solo or in a group. Most recently happened solo on Europa, Cholistan, midway into the 3rd extractor. I was able to start every other available extractor on the map without encountering any more enemies and without any of the active extractors taking any damage whatsoever.

  7. I've only started running status builds recently, and I'm not really sure how I want to set up my Tysis. I don't want to put all those credits and endo into maxing the mod to do a proper test, to then reroll it later (I've already rerolled it once).

    u666uFy.jpg

So A) Is this a good riven mod for Tysis? If not, what stats do I want from it?

And B) If I reroll, how likely is it that I'll get something better?

  8. How do status procs work with multiple damage types? On the wiki it says that only 2 status effects can be caused by one attack, which means that you can have multiple procs at once, but does that mean that if you have more than one damage type and you get a status proc, you will always cause 2 status effects? Or is it random? Or some other system? If you don't always get the max (capped at 2) number of status effects from a proc, does a higher status chance increase the likelihood that you get 2?

  9. I know that giving a power cell to an extractor restores its shields, but apart from that, is there any benefit to overfilling the excavator? I didn't think there was, but I'm quite often paired with MR7+ players who keep filling up the excavator when it's in no danger and has less than a second of runtime left. Why? Is there something I'm missing?

  10. I've just finished 1/3 of the mobile defense invasion on Pallas, Ceres, and after completing all the terminals, it then took me around 10 minutes to figure out how to get to the extraction point. I'm MR 16, I don't remember every having had this issue before. The objective marker on the minimap was directly over the extraction point, rather than over the exit to the room I was in, and it took a lot of trial and error to find the right route to the exit.

  11. I had to do 20 for mine, and I tried  a couple of times in survival, but after 8 or so kills, enemies stopped coming into the room while I was latched. I'd recommend doing mobile defence, because that keeps the enemies spawning and closing in on one spot. I used Loki and the secura penta (syndicate AoEs count), and it was really easy that way.

  12. I've been grinding spy missions to get Ivara, and I've found that frequently, when hacking all 3 terminals, it only gives me 1 reward. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens often and across multiple missions. The mission I just ran was Valac on Europa, I hacked all 3 terminals (without being detected), and this is the entirety of the rewards that I received (there's nothing under the Nav coordinate):

  13. I've just finished TWW and got my veiled riven mod, and I have questions that I can't find answers to. Some are general, some are about my specific one:

    qBuO37N.jpg

Does the riven objective still count as completed if I fail the mission?

Do I have to get the kills with the weapon that the mod is equipped to? Do syndicate AoEs count? Can I use ember's world on fire?

Do kills count after I detach from the wall but before I hit the floor?

Will it tell me inside the mission that I've completed it / is there a way to check how I'm doing?

    Can you trade veiled mods?

Does standing on objects count as touching the floor?

Also, can anyone recommend a good place to get 20 kills in a row while wall dashing or wall clinging without touching the floor? I haven't done much testing, but I'm not great at wall jumps or latches, so presumably I need a place quite high up (so I can save myself if I fall) where it's easy to jump between several walls, in a mission high enough level to easily get 20 enemies in one place, but not so high that I can't quickly kill the enemies before I hit the floor...
