  1. I've heard of this problem before. It doesn't have to do with the game being demanding or not. From what I understand, what happens is that for some reason the the video card draws this simple scene (in this case, the menu) way faster than it should and maxes out the card running it at hundreds of frames per second which ends up overheating the card because it doesn't throttle down like it should. Kind of like if you put your car in park and instead of idling, the engine just revved up like you floored the gas pedal. I can't remember what old game had this problem as well.

  2. Off the top off my head the Stalker seems like it would be a pretty good candidate for pvp. Let other players control the Stalker in an mp session with a cooldown so matches aren't always plagued with them. Maybe style them as alerts where when you pick a planet it says "hey, you want to play as the stalker?" if it's available. and maybe get a nice mod or something if you manage to kill your target(s)

  3. Been rocking Tactical Pump on my Burston for the past few nights and although it seems to help, the reload still gets me into a lot of trouble. I've got it fused one level below max (not sure off the top of my head what the percentage is) and it's proving to be quite expensive to get it up to that last level.

I figure after that I'll focus on the clip size and maybe rate of fire. This gun is already one or two shotting most normal enemies and it's only going to get better :)

  4. Now that sucks. Drops are random enough without having selfish players ruining your games. Happened to me once too, he said we were taking too much time. Awesome since i was just enjoying the game. :D I feel ya mate.

That sucks man. I lost a bunch of mods and such last night due to a bunch of crashes as well. First crashes I've ever had with Warfame though so I can't be too upset.

As for the host, I'll never understand that mentality. At the point that you're ditching games and possibly ruining other people's experiences just because you didn't get the drop you want, are you even enjoying the game anymore? Or has it become just this compulsive collection fetish? The day that I don't enjoy the game enough to even finish a match that's already almost over just because of something as small as a bp drop is the day I find something else to do.

  5. Is anyone else getting markedy worse performance on the new outdoor ice map vs the old maps? Even indoors on this level I've seen the framerate get pretty bad when nothing's happening at all. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to be too connected to what I'm looking at. I'll be in a bland room and the fps tanks, but then I'll be outside looking at this huge vista and be hitting 60 fps, it's weird.

This is strange because at pretty much all other times on the other maps the game runs flawlessly even with tons of craziness going on onscreen. This is on a GTX 680 and an I7 3.5 ghz

  6. Hi Lazu,

I seem to have the same play (mind) set as you do. im in the EST time zone. is it OK i add ya to my FL ?

Sure thing. Depending on work and other commitments (stupid adulthood, lol) I'm usually on in the evenings anywhere from 7-12 my time (cst) and at random times throughout the weekends.

  7. The name's Iazu. I'm from Memphis, TN, 38 years old, and have been playing games as far back as I can remember. I work in the printing industry as a prepress/IT guy for the largest commercial printer in Memphis.

Been playing for a month or so (maybe more, time escapes me sometimes, lol) and figured I'm overdue for an introduction. So far I've been really enjoying my time with Warframe, mostly playing solo but over the last few days have been delving into the online stuff. It's like a totally different game with other people, a lot more...rushed ;)

I tend to be a very methodical player when I'm solo, exploring every last nook and cranny of a level and wringing every last credit and enemy out of it. Buit I also have no problem speeding through a map if that's what my teammates obviously want when I'm online.

I'm not obsessed with loot (although it is nice to get new gear) since it's the actual gameplay that I'm invested in. I enjoy playing the game as it is, any upgrades are a bonus that will happen eventually. I generally try to "go with the flow" when playing with others, since we all know there are way too many people in any online game who try to ruin other's fun.

It's really nice to finally see the potential of that original Dark Sector Trailer and press release come to fruition. You can definitely feel the legacy of their work on the various Unreal Tournaments in how smooth and "right" the combat nd movement feel.
