  1. Is there a known issue with or, hopefully a workaround, for the Golden Maw segment? I can't get the transference to activate.

Nevermind, I figured it out. On PS4, it was displaying the incorrect command (R3) but the touch pad actually activated it for me.

  2. I will admit that I'm not the most learned player in this game. I will also make mention that I was attempting to use those powers in lowerish level survival missions where bodies get wiped from a map quickly, hence my displeasure with Desecration. I saw some improvementwith Soul Punch but, to be honest, it seems hit or miss at times. Some of the time it blasts guys around like bowling pins, other times it surgically removes that one melee unit three or four deep into a stack. I do like Terrify, but I play alone alot and am spoiled by Oberon's survivability during solo so I don't often find much use for CC at current. SotD seemed awesome at first, but again, I rarely run into a spot that I can sacrifice the time and energy to cast it, I think that is my chief concern. Not so much the AI or wanting a small entourage of holographic zombie pets. I want a misdirection that deals damage if it gets an opportunity. I wouldn't be sad if it were cut down to one or two summons if they cut back the time on it.

As much as I do enjoy Nekros, and it is building, I still can't help but feel a little shorted, especially because of how Nekros was sold and then to get the powers it has, just doesn't feel like I really got what I paid for, not contrasted against how I often play and what I'm used too.

That last line also sounded pathetically self-centered...

  3. I just got Nekros recently. I started out very excited to put this frame through its paces, but after giving the frame more than a few hours of practice and some time to maybe grow on me, I was left very dissapointed. The powers are marginally useful with one exception, Desecrate, that, I found, was painfully useless. I spent some time thinking and even found a discussion about it on the forums here which spurred me to come up with a rework for those skills that makes Nekros useful alone and in a group, though it really makes no mention of its stats and I fully acknowledge that they are not perfect. I just think that it would fit more with the intention of creating Nekros and that it will make him truely the master of the forces of life and death.

For each slot I came up with two possible powers and loosely outlines their effects.

    1) Necrotic Bomb - Nekros pulls his targeted enemy towards himself through a field of necrotic energy. If the target dies from the attack it explodes to deal 1/2 health damage to enemies 15m from Necros and knocks them down. If the target is immune to crowd control then Necrotic Bomb deals flat rate damage based on Nekros's level.
1-A) Necrotic Plague - Necrotic plague assaults its target with damage over time, if the target dies under the duration of Necrotic Plague Necrotic plague spreads to up to three nearby enemies. This effect can happen up to four times per use.

    2) Wrathful Dead - Enemies that have fallen to Nekros rise to their feet and throw themselves at their former comrades attempting to release a large charge of necrotic energy.
2-A) Wailing Dead - Nekros's fallen enemies rise to terrify their former comrades into fleeing while decreasing their armor and elemental resistance ratings.

    3) Parade of Souls - Nekros summons spirits of the dead to aid him and his allies in battle. If cast at an ally the spirits will heal and boost the ally's shield capacity and recharge for a limited duration. If cast at an enemy the spirits will seek out enemies to knockdown and deal various elemental damage to.
3 - A) Soul Binder - Nekros binds souls of the fallen to himself for a limited duration to ensure that he will avoid an early grave. This ability can also be cast on an ally, healthy or fallen.

    4) Apocalypse - Nekros spreads chaos and havok amongst the ranks of his enemies causing viral damage and turning them all upon each other, forcing them to figh to the death.
4 - A) Ravage - Nekros feeds on the life energy of the enemies surrounding him. Nekros gains 1/4 of the health drained from his enemies. Nekros gains up to 25% total energy if at full health.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Am I wrong?

I apologize for any typos and grammatical errors I have missed.

  4. Just to throw my hat into the ring about replacing the powers for a warframe centered on the idea of controlling the forces of life and death.

While I know these aren't perfect, they better represent the idea of a warframe centered on controlling life and death.
