I actually had a thought along those lines after finishing the quest last night. It seems apparent now that the Stalker is deeply connected/intertwined with Ballas.

Been farming multiple times each day, 8 rounds per run, ever since the update came out in April. That comes out to well over a hundred runs. I've only managed to get one chassis, and absolutely nothing else. Ever. It sucks.

There is a lower level, which I searched. On that level there is a storage room, which is marked separately with the icon sitting in the middle of it--the room also appears substantially larger than the icon.

So, came across this rather odd icon on a Corpus map on Jupiter. Not a map feature--it fades out on the map when I get near to it. Can't find anything with my codex scanner when I try to find it; I know it's not a new icon for glass shards because (as you can see in the screenshot) I already completed Saya's Vigil and built Gara. So...any ideas? Is this a new icon, or some other map anomaly? Has anyone seen anything like this on a corpus map before?
...Also, I apologize ahead of time if the image does not appear. I'm trying to figure out how to place it in here.

This is what my lonely Operator thinks when he sees the Ostron children playing on the beach, and thinks of this recently re-discovered traditional Earth celebration which the Ostron introduced him to. Otherwise known as "All I Want For Christmas" (originally by Mariah Carey).
I don't want a lot for Christmas,
There is just one thing I need;
I don't care about the weapons
Or the mods you sent for me;
I just want you for my mom,
Holding me close, safe and warm;
Make my wish come true…
Lotus, all I want for Christmas is you!I don't want a lot for Christmas,
There is just one thing I need; (and I)
Don't care about the weapons
Or the mods you sent for me;
I don't need to hang my stocking,
There next to my bobble-face;
Potatoes won't make me happy,
Or letters on Christmas day;I just want you for my mom
Holding me close, safe and warm;
Make my wish come true…
Lotus, all I want for Christmas is you!I won't ask for much this Christmas;
Like a Kubrow with a clutch,
I’m just gonna wait in patience,
Hoping for a mother’s touch;
I won't make a list and send it
To the dojo for my clan;
I’m just gonna hold a vigil
In hopes of hearing Lotus’ step.'Cause I just want a mom tonight
Holding on to me so tight;
What more can I do?
Oh, Lotus all I want for Christmas is you!All I’ve ever known is your image on the screen;
But I want to hug my mother, with nothing in-between!And as everyone is singing,
I hear my heart-strings pleading:"Ordis won't you bring me the one I really need?
Won't you please bring my mother to me quickly?"I don't want a lot for Christmas,
This is all I'm asking for;
I just want to have a mother,
Standing right inside my door!I just want you for my mom!
Holding me so safe and warm;
Make my wish come true...
Lotus, all I want for Christmas is you!All I want for Christmas is you, Lotus…
The Sacrifice Aftermath [Spoilers!!!]

So, as the final cut scene for The Sacrifice began to play and I saw the Sentients begin to descend, I started to suspect that we were about to see Natah in her full Sentient glory. When it actually happened, though...and when she picked up Ballas' dead body and flew off, saying, "I'm coming, Mother"...the only coherent thought that could form in my head was "What. The. Heck."
To be fair, though, I think we carried in some false expectations. When I originally encountered the Apostasy Prologue quest, I was under the impression that the next quest would be called Apostasy. Then people realized The Sacrifice was coming, and I think we got wrapped up in the belief that The Sacrifice was merging both of these.
After the punch in the gut that was the story turn last night, I realize that is not the case. The Sacrifice helped the Tenno reconcile their dual nature. A Tenno is not a body in a frame. A Tenno is not just a child in a machine. A Tenno is not a "void devil" wielding a mindless golem. The Tenno is none of them and all of them at once--a warrior, a child, and a devil. In that sense, the trilogy is complete.
But we were never promised a resolution to the Lotus' absence in this trilogy, and I think that is what most of us forgot. We assumed--incorrectly, as it turned out--that Apostasy Prologue was another teaser for the Sacrifice. I believe it is clear to us now that it was not. Rather, I'm inclined to believe that there will be another quest or set of quests revolving around this idea of Apostasy.
What is Apostasy? "An abandonment of a belief." Here, we see that Lotus has renounced her position as the Mother of the Tenno, and instead reverted to her old identity as Natah, the Daughter of Hunhow. This is apostasy itself, and only time will tell what comes of it.
