nowadays you have frames that you turn a power on and run wild and let that power auto kill everything in the mission, this takes no skill and doesn't seem to have any downside.

this also becomes a burden for other teammates trying to kill stuff for their own fun and leveling weapons and such. I myself enjoy the game when i didn't have a squad mate who would use Embers world on fire, Banshee sound quake,Mirage+Simulor

these types of frames or weapons tend to get real boring or annoying seeing this stuff in 90% of random groups and don't say run with clan mates since most of mine quit and it's a small clan to start with some our labs most stuff is cheap to make. before my clan mates went inactive we each specialized in 2-3 frames each and we almost never had doubles of frames so better synergy.

there is a lot of AOE related frames but only a handful you turn the powers on and kill everything really and along with banshee, ember, mirage, pre-nerf mesa's peacemaker

the other AOE related frames tend to be manual use powers you use the power pay the energy cost each time it kills stuff rinse repeat this is balanced and fair most of the frames i have do this and some have a CC effect to help the squad when things get a chaotic.

Most likely someone will reply with git good or quit or something, or more likely say that the players i group in randoms that have these frames are more effective at killing but are they really ? when you turn a power on and just stand or run around and you don't have to aim and kill everything seems pretty lazy way to play and i do have the frames but i hardly use them i do forma them and level them for builds i have but again they don't take a lot of skill to play and don't seem like fun when you think you may be kill stealing from people trying to level something.

I'd like to see a squad filter for what frames you want in a squad or don't want in a squad so you do or don't wanna play with certain frames, the results may vary but could add more enjoyment and don't ask me how this would work out exactly i don't work for DE.

the vote to kick system players have been wanting for awhile for that one afk jerkoff mooching kills.

out of the frames i own the most used would be

Nova Prime-Fast/Slow Nova builds with anti-matter drop aug

Frost Prime-Snow Globe build with Snow Globe aug

    Vauban Prime-Bastille/vortex  build

    Loki Prime-stealth duration build

    Hydroid-farmdroid build with pilfer aug

I look at these frames as more utility in most cases because i usually pick them for certain mission types

    the frames i have

    Ash Prime,

    Atlas

    Banshee Prime

    Ember Prime

    Excalibur

    Frost Prime

    Hydroid

    Inaros

    Ivara

    Loki Prime

    Mirage

    Nekros Prime

    Nezha

    Nidus

    Nova Prime

    Nyx Prime

    Rhino Prime

    Saryn Prime

    Titania

    Valkyr Prime

    Vauban Prime

    Volt Prime

    Zephyr

You know what days I miss? The days when people stopped "airing" the things they missed. Oh, and the days where people stopped complaining about co-op games with randoms being randoms. And Alice in Chains (when they were good)......

@(PS4)KikoEschobar So, kinda curious on where you get your majority from aside from the fraction of a fraction that actually post on the forums?

Will withhold full judgement till they are implemented.   But, it does seem like they made a fun, to me anyway, enemy weaker.

Well that's a two way street, is it not? There's no way I could gather evidence to the claim outside of this here forum, and you already know that. However, you cannot disprove my earlier statement, as you also lack the information to do so. What bolsters my claims lies within this very topic, where the overwhelming majority are in fact FOR the change for various reasons.

As for your second assessment (regarding the changes) there was nothing inherently "fun" about the nature of nullification to start with. In what way was this enemy a challenging opponent? His ability to dispell Warframe powers aside, he had a standard set of parameters. His HP was rather easily dealt with. His weapon of choice made him exceptionally easy to pinpoint. And lastly, there a far too many on any given battlefield in game to warrant any status of significance. To put it simply...... the nullifiers are nothing more than nuisance designed to artificially inhibit caster combat. Never have I seen such a terrible entry level boss in a video game designed around speed. Dispelling abilities was a copout in my opinion, and I'm sure if they had given more thought before implementing it, DE would in all likelihood say the same.

  3. My fellow tenno, do ignore my dear friend JSharpie and his counter beliefs. He is (or rather his opinion is....) a byproduct of the contrarian fallacy. By implicating that the opinions of the majority are indeed invalid and promoting his own as factually beneficial, he singlehandedly undermines the very principle he so eloquently presented. In other words, he has the biggest "Light Yagami" complex I've encountered in recent memory. You'd all do well to simply pass on his claims of "I know best because you know nothing....." rhetoric.

Your legal assessment depends very much on where the suit is brought and how sympathetic the judge is, but further, your point is worthless because barely anybody in this thread has even mentioned the legal situation.

So a valid assessment is made worthless because some dude on the Internet [with no knowledge of said subject to speak of] said so? Sounds absolutely logical.....

I didn't save the game at all, I didn't buy the Founders pack.

There is no point to miss: you don't get to have Excalibur Prime because you didn't buy the Founders pack. There's nothing else to discuss.

I'm being as civil as possible here, but do you understand my post ISN'T about shiny Bro like at all? I'm chastising the speculation that a "promise" holds any weight at all in an actual court room. I don't even want the damn overpriced thing. I've even said that console players should realize that certain items will in all likelihood NEVER be available to them in my original posting. What part aren't you understanding?

  6. 4 minutes ago, Littlerift said:

The legal argument is irrelevant, you only have a PS4 version because of the people who supported this game when it was in its infancy, and that same support is why they have Excal Prime. What possible reason would there be to give PS4 or Xbox an exclusive?

Edit: ^ I was around when the Founders pack was available, I don't think that means I should be able to purchase the pack.

Your argument: We saved the game.

    Me: Good for you?

To say you missed the point would be a monumental understatement. Try rocketing past the point....

True, only once had some kid curse at me and call me a p2winner for it...

They can get in trouble if they go back on it. Consumer rights and false advertisement law.

If they say its its exclusive during the sale they gotta keep it that way.

Like Design Council was for founders, there was a poll if we would mind bringing in new flesh. Those that contributed in some way.

Guess what, a very big majority didnt mind at all.

It's a common misconception that false advertising is easily proven in any legal capacity, especially without any understanding of the term. To put it simply, if they were to release the items, and a select group were to bring a suit against them, said group would have to prove without reasonable doubt that the exclusive nature of the item was assured CONTRACTUALLY. No way you can do that.....just read the ToS if you want to figure out why. Therefore, like the scenario presented earlier, your case is nonexistent.

  8. Why are humans so.......ridiculous?

OP: I want an exclusive Excal for consoles.

    Majority: That's no good.

    OP: Why?

    Majority: Cuz reasons.

OP: I just want it for mastery/fashionframe. Why can't I have gold Excalibro?

    Majority: DE made a promise!

Me: This is so damn stupid....

    Majority: Explain please.

Me: Do you trust your car dealership when they make you a promise regarding an exclusive offer?

    Majority: No.

Me: Then why in God's name would you trust that from a DIGITAL content perspective?

    Majority: Cuz promise!

    Me: GLWT......

P.S. I couldn't care less about either perspective beyond trying to instil common sense into both parties. Console players have to accept that platforms aren't fairly accommodated, regardless of personal wishes. Players with Excal Prime should know that said "promise" is as real a legal binding as my marriage certificate with my preschool sweetheart when we were five. That is to say nonexistent. Stop pretending you could veto something with make believe suits. It's fun to play villain.....

Yeah DE how can you sleep at night! How dare you make us work together over a few weeks to get the new content instead of just making it so I can do it all in one afternoon! How dare you try to add longevity to the game! I want everything handed to me as it comes out! And no I won't pay plat for it! It needs to be farmable in 3 hours or I'll be real mad! How dare you! You scum of the earth! Arghleflargle!

No offense...... but you sound really insecure.

    A) Where did OP say ANYTHING regarding getting it in a day? Hell, he couldn't do that if he wanted to through clan research anyway.

    B) DE themselves even said the costs were absurd. If I were to attempt to farm them right now, it'd take me 76 hours. That's three days.....TO GET HALF THE requirements for my moon clan. Is this a job? No way in hell I'm doing that.....I don't care if this weapon could one shot Vay Hek Sorties (I really hate Hek.....seriously).

Tl;dr- Your white knighting is ridiculous. Learn cost/opportunity ratio, then get back to me...

    We are ninjas IN SPACE

what part of that is supposed to be historically accurate lol

I would love to see more Dax in warframe tbh. Maybe statues or flashbacks or moon holograms or something. It would make a really powerful atmosphere when you see the golden warriors of the orokin juxtaposed with the demons of the void

It's not about the history perse'. More about the way we carry out our activities. Ninjas are the personification of stealth/espionage tactics. While we may move like depictions of folklore ninjas, we: facetank missiles and kill entire battalions in broad daylight. Hell there's a a frame named RHINO for Godsake. His mere existence claiming to be in any form a ninja is pretty damn hilarious honestly (especially when you see dudes enter sortie spy missions with him.....pure gold right there) and quite a unique take on the tradition.

Maybe I'm putting too much thought into this. After all, we are space magician super children with an A.I. for a mom. Who of which aids in our genocidal tendencies to wipe entire sectors from outposts throughout the solar system. Trying to make since of anything in this game is probably somewhat impossible lol.

See the thing is, Warframes are meant to be ninjas

    Excalibur = swordsman ninja

    Volt = electric ninja

    Mag = magnetic ninja

    Rhino = bulky ninja

    Loki = trickster ninja

    Trinity = healing ninja

    Ash = ninja ninja

Pretty sure the Dax fit the samurai much more than the Tenno who were meant to be different from the dax.

None of those archetypes fit ACTUAL ninja criteria..... unless Naruto is the new standard for what we expect in a ninja. I mean c'mon......a magnetic ninja? Really bruh?

I however totally agree with the Dax portion of your post, and that's why I want a frame modelled after the Dax. Viva la contradictions!

  12. 9 minutes ago, Thrymm said:

Cute, tough talk, but misguided.  Maybe not people you want around, but let's look at the business model.

How many different color pallets and cosmetics exist in this game?  How many skins, glyphs, sigils, etc?  Why are primes, the essence of the game gear, prettied up versions of the originals.  Why is the largest community initiative the game has Tennogen?  Of the monetized items in this game, how many are merely cosmetic?  What use are all the orbiter decorations?  The different landing craft with articulated hoo-has and whatnots that only show up on loading screens?  How many times do we get cosmetic new content versus actual gameplay updates?  Why do the quest stories tend to be flashy movies more than real gameplay?

Hate to break it to ya, but pretty stuff is EXACTLY what DE has been dragging customers in with.  Does that mean I think that's where the energy should have gone?  No, not really, I'd have personally rather had polish, balance, and usability options, but there it is.

Half the game content, maybe more, is cosmetic fluff.  Given that, and the rather saturated shooter market, it's fair to say that more than a few customers are with this one because of aesthetics.

At that point, a zit seems kinda bad.  The timing is even worse.  We get Rivens, divisive in their acquistion and implementation, accompanied by yet another new resource with another batch of operator driven quest that doesn't have game mechanic continuity with the last one(still think it's about gameplay and not pretty?).  We get a PvP tactical alert(with pretty rewards), we get a flagrant cash grab price scheme on the new weapon(with fresh looks and animations, it's just a burst rifle), and instead of any resolution to make any of that make sense, we tie it all together with a nasty stress zit that is clearly unpopular(seriously, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that most people don't want this thing any longer than they have to).

^This. Every last word of it.

  13. 22 hours ago, WhiteMarker said:

If your friends leave the game because of such a minor thing they are not exactly the sort of customer DE is looking for in the first place.

No offense, but that's a pretty stupid way to look at this. DE is a (wait for it...) business, they don't have the luxury to cater. If said guy is a potential paying customer the investors aren't gonna wanna here "He was acting like a baby over cosmetic appeal..... derp" in a board meeting. Especially considering this game LIVES OR DIES off cosmetic appeal. The gameplay mechanics are run of the mill TPS with Ninja Gaiden elements. The story isn't particularly enthralling. There's no competitive aspect aside from conclave. Mission criteria are lacking in motivation. And the kicker, no endgame to speak off without absolute confusion amongst the majority of players. Fashion is this game's Magnum Opus thus far in it's development for many. Hell, fashion IS endgame for some of them.

Tl;dr- If this issue is causing people to loose interest, they SHOULD acknowledge it and respond. They are not above reproach.....even if some actually believe them to be.

  14. 13 minutes ago, Trichouette said:

This And trinity/energy pads is why I believe we need cooldown in the game instead of energy (and a rework of enemie scaling) & damage of course but DE said no to cooldown and players are angry when I use that word.

Because cooldowns are a pain in horde games. Need a Frost bubble to rez a teammate? Wait 7.23 seconds until you can use it again. What about channeled abilities ala PM and EB? How the hell would they even be applicable?

So, tl;dr- cooldowns are unwanted, unnecessary, and completely impossible to manage......so no.

I'm not dictating anything, but I do feel all the fear about him and the pointless comparisons people are doing on him and Inaros just because both don't have shields.
I feel that DE does read some feedbacks and it's usually about the majority/strongest one of it, so I just wanted to say my side on this.

It might be useful to something or nothing. It doesn't hurt to try until it's not just about insulting/making fun of someone but making some solid points

Fair enough. I'm a bit of a pessimist, so I assume the worst about everything. Perhaps its the fatigue of seeing so many "Nidus is balanced!" threads. Part of me is hoping they (DE) can acknowledge and accept the voice of the more reasonable people discussing him (I.e. like yourself) but I've been down this road far too many times I'm afraid. These developers have a habit of releasing items to great applause, only to completely demolish subject of said applause in a frenzy of constant cyclical dismay. From what I've seen (console tenno) Nidus seems like a complete package as a Warframe. Hopefully he'll stay that way...

  16. 2 minutes ago, RyuGold said:

Blunt answer? No, and here's why I think that he won't/don't need to get nerfed and all of this "it's op needs to be nerfed "a bit"" is just about hype and a very well developed and original frame.

Now, let's start with an easy one
Virulence cost: *sigh* for one of the few times we get precise and clear descriptions, can you please look it up on what exactly it does? I'm talking about its famous energy cost here. There's NOTHING bugged http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Virulence "Energy REFUND PER HIT" what's wrong with that? If you don't hit 4 enemies, you will lose energy no matter your efficency is and of top of that, you will usually cast Larva before using Virulence, so, having an energy deficency will punish you more if you don't get at least 4 enemies. Fatal Teleport works exactly the same way- the more energy you spend, the more you think you'll be getting back, because it's a refund of a 50%.

We got that out, now a bit of a more subjective view.

As many frames, Nidus has its ups and downs. Nidus is definitely a tanky frame and not a good one if I may say so. It's more of an offensive tank since he even has some decent CC.
Now, I said "not very good at tanking" because, if I have to put Nidus in the "Tank Frames", I compare him to: Valkyr, Chroma, Inaros (that's a sweet nerve I'm hitting), Nyx with Assimilate (she ain't a tank at all without that) and Wukong (Rhino, if you have enough brain cells to manage to play with his Iron Skin well, 'cause I sure don't have them).

Compared to them, Nidus has to scale his powers in order to get his full potential, unlike the other ones that can get to their full with a bit of energy. They MIGHT, not get the same hard skin as Nidus, but it's the trade of progressing.
Progressing with Nidus WILL be hard if you're with a group and the enemy is already very strong. That being said, you probably want to use him if you know you're gonna stay in the mission for at least 8 minutes to get to enjoy what you've reached.

Now, let's talk about his immense strenght. He's strong, yes, but, if you compare him to other frames intended to be way more offensive like Saryn, Mirage, Ash, Mag, Equinox, Mesa and some more (you got the point), he will fall off sooner or later on that too and at that point you still want to leave the offensive to your weapons on wich Nidus is unable to buff unless he's not alone (Parasitic Link). He could buff the use of Hunter's Bonesaw (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Hunter's_Bonesaw if you don't know what I'm talking about) thanks to Larva, but you can't recast Larva as soon as you didn't kill all the enemies (wich some will get stuck in something), or it didn't expire by itself

In conclusion: he's just an awesome hybrid (where Oberon failed at)!

I went on a classic void t4s, stood there for an hour and I was having a bit of an hard time (to be honest, didn't die once, but I don't like enter the undying status <.<) because Nullifiers started to spawn like there was no tomorrow removing my link when I least expected it.
My Armor and stacks were maxed as a good amount of power strenght was there too, but, my weapons weren't exactly what you would bring for a very long game (would you bring an Amprex without even buffing it?! Silly me did).

I was surviving well enough, sure, but I had to think two steps ahead on what I had to do, wich is something rare, especially from me. With nullifiers and artic eximus everywhere, you can't think about using your abilities that much and, when linking an enemy, you have to think about him and yourself to not get nullified. So you do still depend on your weapons and again, the biggest downside of Nidus is that he doesn't have anything to buff weapons, wether Inaros (Desiccation), Valkyr (Paralysis and Warcry), Chroma (Vex Armor or Elemental Ward with toxic energy) and even Wukong (Cloud walker) do have something for that occasion.

Another one.......jeez. This isn't a shot at you OP (I actually get what your putting down) but why is it necessary to dictate why a frame SHOULD/SHOULDN'T be nerfed? It doesn't really matter which argument you pose.........the case for or against is entirely subject to DE's discretion. And considering how, we'll say suspect, their judgements have been lately, community feedback regarding anything mechanics related will in all likelihood be ignored irrefutably. Not saying it's pointless...... just saying it's kinda pointless.

I just wish its slash. A shotgun that doesnt gib isnt a shotgun.

Honestly, I think a non-IPS shotgun (besides the Phage) would be a relatively nice change of pace. Maybe have it hold explosive shells (blast damage) or something along those lines. Aside from that, I really want it to be crit viable...

  18. I'm not one for jumping to conclusions. However, from what we saw on stream, he seems relatively unimaginative as far as frame design/power selection goes. Honestly, had they chosen Typhus as the template rather than going off on a tangent, he would undoubtedly be a much more intriguing frame. His appearance is fine I suppose. His powers seem meh at best. His synergy is there, but the powers simply don't cohesively fit the theme. And lastly, he seems rather lonesome in terms of true usefulness in a group setting. To sum it up, he's just not appealing as I previously assumed he would be. And yes, I know the eyes can be fooled but not the hands. Even so........why is he so, plain?

You see having trials around didn't affect those solo kirito players at all.

Introducing something more social that will involve some more player interaction would definitely have a more positive impact on the game.

The solo players won't miss out on anything at all, just the socializing, but if you see that as an excuse to reject it and try to ruin it just because people are having fun playing together while you're soloing stuff by yourself then that's pretty selfish of you.

Oh God......another Kirito hater. Look FAM', there are SEVERAL major flaws with your.....less than mature viewpoint.

    A) Some people have a terrible connection to the game's server, basically all but relegating them to solo play to avoid network issues.

    B) This isn't CoD......any Warframe/Weapons combo I choose could kill an entire army in this game. On most occasions, my teammates are simply icing on a cake toped with ice cream.

All your frustration amounts to what I like to call "Musthateswavsolobadass" syndrome. Hence why you brought up said solo badass in your first line. Seek treatment post haste.

(And yes, I'm fully aware that Kirito and SAO in general is a flawed mess. Please refrain from debating how bad it is at my expense... TY)

  20. Ya'know, I'm not a pessimistic individual........ but I can guarantee you this system is gonna suck, especially at first. A few hotfixes later and it'll be passable, but not right out the gate. What's that......what are the reasons for my pessimism? Simple:

    A) DE x new systems = screws up royally. Focus, Lunaro, Syndicates, passives, etc.

    B) DE is dreadful at applying basic incentive to anything. Rewards are a major point of discussion, and especially here. What do I get for my trouble? Standing? Endo?

    Anymore questions gentleman?

Not really. After a change like what Damage 3.0 is expected to be players will just narrow it down to the next best possible mods that increase kill output. Then those mods will be the new mandatory for the forum to complain about until damage 4.0 which remove those mods and it will continue until we just have static stat weapons.

I can see it now. The complaints that every build for automatic rifles has Magazine Warp and Fast Hands. Why we lose to slots to these mods. So on elct.

Basically exactly what I think will happen as well. Let's say they take away all damage multiplication mods and make them innate to the weapons. What will we do in response? Find a way to get the most out of those weapons DPS wise regardless. What does the entire effort accomplish? Absolutely nothing. Humans are preprogrammed to select the easiest method of engagement.......even in the act of seeking entertainment. That's why you don't see people heading into sorties with Orgris' or whips, even though they're fun weapons.

So, what should DE do? Simple.......FOCUS ON CONTENT CREATION RATHER THAN NON- OBLIGATORY CRAP SHOOTS! I garauntee you that as soon as some people see their maxed mods completely disappear, they will say "F*** this garbage....... I'm out." even if the changes don't effect output in any way. Therefore, the best course of action is content enhancement through unique systems. They've shown they can do that well enough, well, except for Endgame at least. Give people something to do that isn't tedious nonsense like focus farming and you won't see players dipping after a few days of new content.
