Thinking about it further, the more foreboding this can potentially be..
I will say though if trade chat on switch will be filled with players on many platforms and there's not much switch players to trade plat with then this could be much worse than people may think from the outside without looking in.
I hope there's a way DE or nintendo can be able to rectify this otherwise it can potentially be the final straw for switch players playing the game as I don't think many players are on switch. Quote me about it if im wrong.
99% of players trade for plat in trade chat meaning buying and selling stuff, and with this being in effect It's gonna be much harder for switch players to trade with each other than it probably already is if they want to buy and sell stuff.-

at that point if switch players are gonna head over to different platforms they might as well spent what they have and buy stuff and then merge to another platform so the plat they have doesn't go to waste, so long they don't buy tennogen that is.

Ok so just reread it just now to see if i missed anything and I did. It makes more sense now to me.
I can see plenty of switch players trying to migrate at this point. This isn't good news for them.

I can think of a couple of items that can probably fill that void but once you induce/reduce a plat demand on something like that it becomes prone to abuse in either direction.

Though I feel bad for switch players getting absolutely. screwed over because of this..
Think the only way out of that is if they merge with a different platform being their primary. At least that's what im thinking.
Though that would mean ditching switch entirely.. -

Does that mean adding cross-platform trading is basically pointless cross-platform since most of us if not all of us trade for plat anyways??
If so then this is really bad..

EDIT: Reread it and missed something and it seems to be that only switch players got absolutely screwed over which is still pretty bad and I feel sorry for them.
This is the worse news switch players could possibly get. I see plenty of them are most likely gonna migrate to other platforms if possible, it's that bad..

We are in a shadow clan and we want to invite all our console friends, but we don't want to increase the clan tier due to the research increment costs and removing people who have not played for a long time can create uncomfortable situations, I'm sure many more tennos have this same problem

Hate to bring this thread back up, but I agree, I have certain dojo projects that requires the use of chinese characters that I cannot use in tributas because of exactly this and it's very annoying. Wish they allow this because im getting sick and tired of the game not having unicode/multilanguage support like a lot of other games usually do.
This didn't initially went as I planned with 水 (Shuǐ) not looking good with the dojo decor I was trying to use so I tried to use tributas and well that really put a wrench in my plans. This really sucks because not many people are gonna see it if at all and it's just gonna be filled with stars.-

I like these heirloom skins looks and really want the frost and mag signas specifically, it's just the insane prices DE is asking of us and the time limit FOMO scheme feels like a spit in the face and a slap in the face in that exact order. Oh and add maybe another punch in the face because it happened during tennocon..
As someone who's been playing since 2015 it hurts to see such a fall from grace as this. Their recent response hasn't rectified the situation any, but more like pouring salt on the flesh wound and wrapping it with a giant bandaid and say you'll get better but you'll be in pure agony instead of simply just stitching up the wound. Regal aya also being artificially inflating the prices also hurts as I don't want regal aya at all. I'd rather get it on it's own if I really want something from prime resurgence.
While frost has gotten some buffs recently I don't think I'll play him that often and I could say the same thing about mag where I barely even play her much if at all.
Therefore I don't have much value in the skins. I more value the signas of both of the frames, but I'd still equip both of the skins regardless but I can't justify paying 70-90 USD just to get them. That's WAY too much just for some headpieces and 2 skins I'll barely even use. Color palette has nice browns which I'll be honest I could use more of those but im not going over the moon just to get that along side the heirloom skins and forking over 90 USD.
I'll even go as far to say that even if these skins were for frames I use regularly I'd still think these prices DE is asking is absurd. I'd rather continue my journey of expanding my PS2 and gamecube libraries legally by buying them in retro game stores that sells them for ACTUAL FAIR PRICES unlike ebay or plain and simply buy Baldur's gate 3 on steam out of pure spite because larian deserves my money more right now then get baited. I don't care if im technically saving $50 USD on 2100p and 6 regal aya alone with the new amounts i don't want to be forced to get regal aya if I just want 2 signas and a color palette.
Sorry to bring up the heirloom topic, just thought I'd contribute to this thread and give my two cents since it brings up some good points as to why DE has handled the response to the outrage poorly.
I have bought prime accessory packs, some Prime accesses, and hell I even forked over some money for regal aya because I missed out on targis prime armor set a few times and wanted it that badly all that because I liked DE and what they have been doing with warframe and respecting their customers but it's things like heirloom and the recent response that makes me question if I should continue spending money on the game even though the announcements during tennocon were an absolute banger, it was just this blunder that overshadows all of that. -
Here is what DE should do in order for making things cheaper
- Merge risen and celestial tiers packs together in one but remove the regal aya and keep that new tier the same price risen.
- Compensate risen buyers to give the skins in a message inbox similar to how buyers of the packs got the extra plat from DE's recent response.
- Players who bought celestial before that time would get to keep the regal aya. No need for account info tweaking would even be required at all except for people who only bought the risen tier which doesn't have regal aya.
As for the FOMO issue I think this is the best way I can think of going about this
- Making only the heirloom accolade exclusive to the current heirloom pack tiers and when December 31st comes around only that accolade you can't get again.
- Make the heirloom skins and their signas be available for plat to buy some time after December 31st but make any element of them not allow you to get the heirloom accolade so that it doesn't break the previously proposed point.
At least that's what I can think of right now.-

While that's great and all that you're listening, however we still want cheaper bundles, that and/or the skins to stay available permanently and be able to be bought for plat instead of the FOMO scheme you guys are pulling and purposefully inflating the stuff just because bundles have regal aya.
There's still a ways to go for players to forgive you.-

They really should only have the 10 year accolade only for those who made their account 10 years ago. Honestly I overlooked the accolade part and seeing this now yea I understand your outrage, this is a huge slap in the faces of people who have been here since the beginning.

I don't care if you say if it's "fair". I and a lot of people don't want to be forced to buy regal aya just to get the skins.
They should either reduce the price to $40 USD max and either keep the max bundle as is or at least remove regal aya from the 70$ bundle and reduce the price.
And also remove the time limit as well because this FOMO shenanigans is not a good look. I like DE, but i got to call it how it is. this is not consumer-friendly and is predatory.

You have regal aya priced at $40 for 6 by itself.
The celestial heirloom collection is $70.

Even by a this is mostly a regal aya bundle standard, you can get 7 REGAL AYA in the dedicated $40 regal aya bundle (instead of 2x $20 bundles). Not that i'm asking you to correct that, i'm asking you to not make players buy regal aya if they want the skins.Amen to all of this.
However I would like to add they should also make the bundle a permanent thing instead of making it a FOMO scheme...

I would absolutely buy a mag bundle and a frost bundle separately if I can get everything in the current big bundle but without the regal aya because holy hell the price really hiked up with the addition of 6 regal aya to reduce it's cost.
Or better yet reduce the price on the big bundle to about $40 USD max and keep the bundle contents as is.
Doing either of those things would make me shell out my money next month to get them.
However the bundle as is I just can't justify spending $70 - $90 USD on them. It's way too much. At that point I'd rather spend it on prime access.-

Pretty reproducible - I would say it happens 6 out of 10 times
For me it's when I add and/or remove members usually from pending list but also happened when I done it normally it's very annoying.
This has been happening for at least 2 months now though it doesn't happen often it's very annoying when it crashes.
