[Forma did not work]

I just recently leveled my synoid simulor to 30 and was going to forma it. Once I did everything went as usual, except it did not let me choose a new polarity. It completely skipped that and reset my synoid simulor to unranked while accomplishing nothing and wasting a forma. Obviously I'm pretty angry at this since all that work and a forma all went to waste. If someone can help change this, that would be great.

Ok, thanks for your advice. If at all possible, could someone please suggest some mods/mod combos I should equip to my Warframe to make him tougher against the Corpus?

So, recently i returned to Warframe because of the latest update and all. I've been doing all sorts of missions for different things I want to get accomplished and I have been successful in most of these things. One thing I'm having trouble with is the Corpus. I don't know if they boosted their damage up or something, but it seems like they can completely eliminate my shields with ease and just start hitting my Health almost instantly! I've tried modding my Warframe all different sorts of ways to be stronger, but nothing is working. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, Infested is kind of tough as well.
