  1. Ember needs an overhaul badly with or without any nerf and Chroma's vex skill dmg numbers caused by a miscalculation. These are well known points. I am not seeing any anti community application here

PoE is the "new" feature. I can understand the need to promote it as much as possible. It is a bit stale for us players. But hopefully a corpus open world (and maybe more varied bounties and quest hubs) will be enough to spice up the open world experience.

  2. Soooo...

You came here. You started a "fix your game" thread, claiming a low level boss' commonly known attack style is a bug. Then upon learning said attack is working as normal, you claimed you are a veteran. Then someone else posted your registration date and it was not that long ago :p

    Ok. This is fun.

  3. I don't think they will implement a dark souls like invasions. This game's pve and pvp weapon loadouts are completely different and because of that an invasion type of deal in pve maps seems unlikely. Plus it would be too difficult to balance it out.

If people want pvp stuff for syndicate assasinations I would suggest division's dark zone type of maps. There might be large endless(and constantly hosted by DE) maps with high level mobs. People could come here and kill mobs and get loot then extract in specific locations. But "maybe" people also can wear their clan's or syndicate's indicators and if choose to they can engage pvp with the people which are wearing another clan's or syndicate's indicators. Victor could gather some standings or points for their team(this would need daily cap of course). Victors also can actively rank up in enemy syndicate's hit list. So a mass murderer can become an active target with a potential to get a better reward for killing him.

This way ensures only the people which are actually willing to do pvp can be attacked and also pvpers can get something for their effort.

  4. Well, at the end of the day you don't need to wait anything. If you think you have done everything you want to do it in warframe you can play other games until DE publish something you will be interested in. Not every taste is same and some people actively waiting for lore stuff. Cinematic quests satisfies that need. They already added tons of new stuff with lunaro and specter updates which were originally part of the upcoming cinematic quest. Now we are waiting for the lore stuff.

  5. Update brings a lot of bugs. Community in general overreacted based on this bugs. Market complaints and junction progress bugs for example. We had tons of hotfixes solved many of the issues which were very heavily discussed on the forums(there are still plenty of things need to be look at too). I am not saying talking about the bugs is a bad thing. What I am saying is pending bugs will be ironed out by DE and they will be irrelevelant in a couple of weeks. So we don't need to discuss bugs like they are intended or permanent part of the update.

There were other instances where people negatively reacted because we have new systems and a new starchart and people didn't like leaving the things they are use to.

Overall I really don't think this update is bad at all. It need lots of tweaking that's all. We need a camera option for archwing. Bugs needs to go etc.

  6. Most of the builds can work with different mods. Vault mods are useful yes but you can still provide energy and health without them. You just need to open your squad info which shows energy and health levels of the team. And provide what is necessary near the bulk of your squad and that's all.

I encountered someone yesterday. Dude run into alarm lasers during spy sortie and while I rush to get the vault, he standed there(gunned down in seconds) while typing "noobs" in chat. We barely managed to do the mission. So what I mean to tell you is "if you are playing with randoms, there might be people with unjustified opinions". Don't be discouraged.

Whenever you can get vault mods and primed mods, they will be a good asset for you. But you don't need to focus on getting them. Ignore the useless people.

  7. I am certainly not bashing op's opinions on this matter but I honestly don't understand why this "farming in void map only" perspective is good thing. Ok, I understand that void maps are pretty to look at. However I also remember that I daily farmed the same T4 Def map over "two months" just to get trinity part I wanted. It never dropped. Instead a couple of vauban chassis dropped when that prime released. I ended up trading vauban for plats and buying the trinity. This kind of long winded farming increadibly fatigued me to a point that I am basically ok if I don't see that T4 Def ever again. If you try to farm a certain map for two months, nothing looks pretty.

Not that voids are dead mind you. Nearly all T1 relic fissure I encountered was in void. I am still nearly exclusively farming in the void for prime parts. Void capture's secret cache's dropped tellurium for me. I now what to try when I need more of it. Void is still useful for argon farming too. I am sure they will figure out new mechanics and loots for void in time. We are doing different missions for the same parts right now. It is much more refreshing for me to be honest.

    19 seconds...

I have made around 10 attempts to complete this alert. Every one of them has been a failure. I am opening every locker(Master Thief) and breaking open every resource canister. I have not seen a PLS module drop from anything, including enemies that I have killed. I have read through this entire thread and tried many of the different tactics and strategies that other player have suggested, but the mission ALWAYS fails at exactly 19 seconds. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have read that a vast majority of you folks have pulled this mission off without the use of PLS drops.

    Tin foil hat mode engaged...

You are dying at 19 second mark because LS provided by lotus depletes at the last 19 seconds. You either need to kill the enemies or open lockers to find additional 20 seconds worth of oxygen. I never found oxygen in the containers so my only option was killing the enemies. I didn't have covert lethality mod so I couldn't use sneak attack finishers(if you can, use this). I ended up using lvl 25 mag. Her second ability creates bubbles around enemies and make their fire hurt themselves. Her third ability increases this damage. One thing though. One time use of this ability is not enough so either you need to bring a zenurik focus or loot containers for energy.

Nyx's chaos ability also turn them each other. But this damage is mostly minimal compared to the mag way. So you may need to use a group of damage amplifiers to kill them this way.

Sorry but when they are flaws they wont be removed unless you bring them up.

The new star chart is pretty but a mess right now and if we want it fixed we better thell DE about what they messed up.

you cant choose the regular mission if its a alert or a syndicate mission on that node. this is a fact

from the maxed out zoom level you can start mission just by clicking on a planet. This is a fact.

We lost information density when they hid the planet resources under the drone icon. This is a fact.

Some of us actually know how GUI work and how its supposed to be setup for maximum information density and usability.

There are plenty of best practices that have been overlooked when it comes to the UI teams work on the new star chart.

Most of them likely due to time and stress.

The change itself is not the issue here. The flaws we need to help DE remove is the issue.

It will take them a few weeks to hotfix and patch what they rushed out before tennocon. Its hardly something no other game company or software developer is doing.

Being able to reproduce bugs and find error in code is far more time consuming then most people on these boards realize.

I don't think no one would criticize the people pointing out bugs(zoom clickable missions or losing the ability to play regular missions while alerts are happening can not be intentional) or forgotten design points(like resource info for planets) or even their feelings towards a patch. They are valid points to bring up and I consider them constructive criticism. I think OP generally talking about doom threads. Things like "I pay you money, do as I say" or "X is dead!!!!" or "USING CAPS BECAUSE SOMETHING IS NOT THE SAME AS YESTERDAY" kind of threads. I never saw that kind of attitute solved or helped to solve any kind of issue.

  10. Junctions actually teaches new players to do different things in the game now(such as doing invasions, modding a weapon etc.). It is way better than the old system where every mr 2 tried to go void farming because game told them nothing about quests, invasions, modding and such.

my biggest issue is that its suddenly so SLOW!

Ive played the pursuit for a while now and while i dont experience the nausea and stuff at all since i also played Star Conflict i dont feel like im playing a tiny humanoid strapped on a giant backpack anymore, this is more like manouvering a 2000 ton heavy frigate from said star conflict.

I mean....every movement done feels now so slugish and just doesnt fit the warframe gameplay which is actually pretty precise. I havent been stuck in walls for ages but with this messy crap now i fly into walls and get stuck all the time! And why? Because i turn the camera to change direction and still fly a few hundret meters in the direction ive faced before! In Tight areas that are best 30m wide this doesnt really help -.-

The speed of just holding shift is like the former speed while just normal moving. It feels so incredibly slow

I really loved archwing before, now its just meh. The new chasing mission type doesnt cut it as well as  i am still figuring out what to do actually!

While you are moving with shift try pressing space. It activates afterburners. It is much more quick.

I fairly liked the system overall. X axis turning button would be nice though.

  12. I realize somehow it has became a tradition to start doom threads after every patch. But if you will, let's take a deep breath take look at the changes before hating them.

I updated the latest patch and played 3-4 hours of it. Yet in this time alone, I saw too many outbursts which comes from a frustration of encountering something new. I encounter far too many "I hate new market panel" comment in the game chat. Why is that exactly? Because they didn't see the credits tab in item's page and thought "everything costs plat now" and got frustrated. Or another reasoning is that the market place isn't looking exactly the same as yesterday. Guys, market now has a search bar. It now shows you if you have that item. It shows you if that item needs to be acquired from clan labs. It shows you related bundles. They are net improvements here. Sometimes something may look different and it is still ok. We can get used to the new.

I personally like new the archwing system. Even in the low level planets like venus, I managed to level my archwing in one mission. It was a level 18 odonata. I never managed to level it up before. Because all missions were only giving a 1/20 of the experience needed to level up. In Earth I did four missions and I managed to level up to 22-24. It is a huge improvement over the old system. Archwing moves are more complex now. Feels much more like space vessel. This is my personel preference and I completely understand if you are against it but I find mobile def mission for archwing fun now. Combat is more fun for me. Drops more mods and xp.

New starchart looks different. That doesn't mean it has to be bad. It is confusing because we are playing with it literally the first time. Old starchart had tons of redundant maps which no one was ever going to play ever. Junctions gives tasks and those task are directly related to introducing new systems to beginers. Completing junctions gives bp's and starts new quests which were overlooked in the market tabs by new players. These are overall improvements over the old "we tell you nothing, you need to look at wiki to see what to do next" approach we all suffered when we started the game. Of course I could offer some improvements to make it look less confusing and more informative(resource drops info for example) but I don't believe harsh criticisms are justified just because it looks different then what we used to.

Finally new farming system. It is new and we don't have the numbers to claim whether this reduces the grind or not. Only thing I know is that I was trying to get hikou stars and someone rolled a saryn systems which I don't have. I loved that. And I liked that I don't have to lock myself in a specific void mission and I think it is a refreshing change. Horrible rotation c stands for relic farming but gone from prime farming. Fusion and orokin cell drops gone bye bye too. And do you remember everyone outraged about luminous bonus and how they won't be getting it while soloing? Every mission I was in(only T1s) dropped 8-15 of them during the mission. And you don't get the bonus if your reward is not the most desirable one in the group. Bonus is nothing compared to what you'll be getting by doing the mission whether solo or group. Not worth getting angry about at all.

Yes there are tons of bugs. And DE will deal with bugs. They are not a constant part of the patch so let's not treat them as such. There might be things need tweaking. Nullifier spawns next to you is an example(though I find staying at a distance from the fissure somewhat fixes this. Fissure are their spawning point so I don't mind not building fortifications right at their spawn points anyway).

Tldr; let's chill out for a while.

  13. I don't see a problem honestly. I mostly use excal and frost. And this change hits them the most. But they are still manageable if you are not going to lose yourselves in endless missions. As frost I generally jump near them and slide attack to one shot kill then bullet jump to escape. If their position is too crowded, I simply use my guns. They are always the priority target along with bombards. They are still the same in that regard.

If I am facing high level enemies, they are not coming to amuse me. They are coming to kill me unless I plan accordingly. I don't think a lvl 150 nulifier needs to be designed such a way that it can be easily disposed of by spamming a power key. So I am not bothered by this change.

  14. I suggest ignoring them. I saw people looking for EV and primes just to do T2 exterminate missions. There are many people who don't know much about the game but seen something flashy and want to copy that.

If such a person is happens to be a clanmate, I try to explain them why you don't always need certain frames or why prime fixation is unnecessary. If they are random people, I stay away from that groups. Because they focus on wrong things and this might cause toxic behavior during missions.

  15. It is a difficult thing to gauge because what people are saying about the current endless void runs are not entirely true. We got famous AABC rotation and 20 min def generally generates 2-3 core packages, especially if you are farming something in lower tiers. Or 10 ducats worth of junk if we are lucky.

If the new system will get rid of rotation c drops(if tears are not opening on the 20th wave for example). I think this will be a huge improvement.

Devs said new resource will drop in the mission and we know that projection gathering will be very similar to current key farming. We all need to wait for the drop rates to say if grind is decreasing or increasing. Whatever is the case, rescuing farm operations from void maps is a nice step.

One thing is sure however. Game will need to be played more. Leeching for keys option is going away. Farming location will change constantly. Tear mechanic is something added to mission as an extra objective. We need to keep a close eye on our projections and manage them according to situations. I think they are aiming for less auto piloting and more player agency. If they improve the boring aspects of grind, I am ok with it.

  16. They would never force us to have same projection for one mission. It would effectively end 99 percent of groups. It would be nearly impossible to find a group with suitable projections. It would be impossible to tell PUGs what exactly they will have to do. It is also against the freedom feeling this update supposed to bring. So they won't do that ever.

Worse case scenario is some low level clanmates will need to bring their own common projection to pick a reward from another pool. Leeching will be useless so more playing will be needed.

  17. No need to panic. If you are not a compulsive leecher, you are already farming keys as the first wall. Biggest change is we won't be getting too many primed junks because our new keys drops only one reward. But this reward will be from much smaller pool and we get to choose from 4 different options. We potentially get a loot from a projection we don't own. Or we can form a group with the same projection and have a much more higher chance to get a specific loot. We will have a limited option to fine tune our projections too. So we are sacrificing primed junk abundance for a more focused grind. I don't think overall farming time will dramatically decrease but we will have more agency in the farming process(we have to play the game, the horror). We probably have much less ducats while farming, as a side effect unfortunately.

With this changes we will play the game on more maps and have more option to farm certain rewards. They are aiming for more player agency as opposed to doing same mindless thing over and over. I believe they are taking the right steps.

  18. I burned from endless void mission farming. So this will be a fresh change for me. Here is my thoughts.

    1. We are not punished for playing solo. Current system already gives us one option for the reward. New system supports group play by giving more rewards to chose from and a bonus. You are reading too much into this bonus however. We don't know the drop rates for the new resource. Maybe acceptable amounts of it will drop in the mission so we don't really need the group bonus. Also everyone assumes that in every mission people will choose the same reward. This will not be the case. Everyone will bring what they are farming at that moment. So we don't have to necessary see lots of luminous bonus.

    2. With the keys going we will farm projections. This will also takes place in endless missions. We'll probably see rotation c projection rewards tiered in accordance with planet level. We are trading keys for projections. Farming endless missions will be still important. Not much change in that regard. We don't know the droprates so it is early to support or whine about it.

    3. With group of four, four projections will be used for one reward. Honestly I don't care if another people's projections will be used. Furthermore I don't believe most people will care too(even they speak against it). This system gives me a chance to pick from 4 separate rewards and three of this rewards can be coming from a projection which I don't own. Downside of this change is people won't be getting rewards without spending their keys/projections. I don't care about never key spending leechers but I do understand people who wants to help relatively new clanmates. With the new changes, for better or worse, gameplay has to change and people will need to be able to farm projections AND THAN think about prime farming.

    4. Luminous will be a some kind of rng fine tuning system. Any amount of fine tuning is better than what we currently have in my opinion.

    5. There will be dedicated farming groups. People will ask you to bring specific projections for the mission in recruitment chat. This will considerably lower the time needed to farm a specific thing(with 4 separete shots for reward in one mission). This might be helpful but also will be frustrating when you couldn't find that specific projections.

    6. Low mr players probably won't be farming primes while they are lvl 2 or not knowing what to do in a certain mission type(which I encounter every day). This will increase the bottom threshold for prime farming. Aside from that clan helpers will still be helpful to lower mr players by bringing rare projections to the mission. Low mr players can bring more mundane projections and pick the rare projections at the end of the mission if that is a better reward.

    7. VoId is still standing to farm argon like resources and probable void tears.

    8. Endless prime drops from endless void missions are gone. So we will have reduced ducat income. We won't have too many primed junks. Good side is we don't waste 20 rounds for a primed junk reward probably. Ducat situation might sting a little. Need to wait and see.

    9. Best part of all this is I don't need to see t4def mission area for a long long time. I fed up with doing same maps all the time. Map rotation, fine tuning and projection based tactical farm groups are seems like a good change of pace. We will have options to plan how to farm at least. Farming and rng will be always out there but I think this changes are for the better.
