they should have it so that if a certain number of players try to extract, it increases the time to decide to stay or leave for the person that's trying to stay in the mission. For example, in draco, if three people try leave at the last second, the last person that's in the mission has an extra 10 seconds to decide what to do.

This would solve the issue and stop children feeling clever just because they ditched the group at the last second.

  2. Yea leaving at the last second is a very childish move. Some does it with Def missions too. DE should change after round leaving mechanics. Or at least implement a karma mechanic so that "last second leavers and rage quitters" don't match up with normal players.

  3. Personally I couldn't care any less about profit margins if they would get rid off stupid map repetition for the same prime part.

But they need to make money. So they won't abondon RNG. In addition to that you will always have buyers. I see tons of low mr people desperately trying to get into void maps for specific prime parts. Just today I saw a mr 2 player asking help for doing a t3 interception mission in clan chat. He had no idea what a void key is, how prime looting or even how interception mission works. He just wanted a specific loot.

This is a f2p game. RNG and waiting for loot always be a constant. And always there will be "need them shinies yesterday" people to buy from you. No matter how much time we save from doing prime looting missions there will always be "I got very limited time to play and don't want to spend my time for looking for prime parts" guys. Whatever they do, there will be some people who are much more interested in gathering prime parts rather than playing the game, no matter how much fun it is.

They need to make money, so they adjust drop rates accordingly. But other than that, if they try to implement a more enjoyable farming system, please let them do that. What we are doing for farm right now is boring as staring at a rock.

  4. It was not bad. Infestation enemies are more than doable for most frames at that level range. I took my excal and 3 random pugs. No one had a particularly hard time (except poison mist clouds I guess) and run around randomly. Plus it was mere 10 minutes. If mission lasted for 20 minutes or enemy was corpus, there would be so much more complaining in the forum.

  5. I think it is fun but needs some tweaks. Ball position indicator can be little more prominent. And whetever you have the ball or not could be better represented.

I like when something in the game is not directly related to "grind, grind, grind". So I'll keep playing it.

I think little tournaments among clans would be nice. This would give us more reason to care about our clans and cooperation. DE can give trophies to winning clans. There is a number of nice alternatives to spice up the warframe experience.

  6. My main is excal. You can finish sorties with him just fine. He doesn't have any particular weakness in T4 missions if you are not planning to go more than an hour in one mission. Slide attack is the only thing I would like DE to look.

    Valkyr is still great too.

  7. I am a mainly Excal player and I knew Excal needed a nerf for a long time. I still believe EB needs a decent sliding attack instead of a worse version of his 2nd power but damage fall off is a completely understandable nerf. You can't hide behind a rock and destroy entire hallway and a room next to it anymore. And this is not about feeling weak or not about feeling OP. No game powers are designed with such cheese way of use is intended. It was not a decent power, it was broken. It was bound to change someday.

I play with Excal in Sortie missions and void T4 missions everyday. He is more than capable of handling them without dying. You can't use silly hide behind a rock tactics anymore. That's the whole Excal change.

  8. I am focusing more on what we are doing to enemies because it is much much more destructive overall. Yea we got some content which needs to get looked at(like lor or some sortie 3 missions).  But I am not seeing any problem with t4 missions because they are completely doable for at least two C rotation cycle. I don't have a recurring group so I usually do missions with randoms. I am well able to do 12 rounds of t4 interception with completely random group(we could go well over 20 before they fix mirage). Never lost once except connection problems. If we have a frost doing t4 def for 40 rounds is a casual thing. Just like def doing 40-60 min. of survival is not that hard too.

I don't think game developers has to balance the game past these points. I don't need to do 2 hour t4 survival or 100 rounds of interception and frankly I don't believe developers intended us to go as far as we are doing right now. So I strongly disagree to saying that we are powerless to the enemies. I agree sortie 3 and raids are not viable for every frame and needs to be balanced though. I just don't see an alarming issue.

  9. Every time I log in, I am killing thousands upon thousands of enemies with ease. We are massacring enemies in great numbers even in sorties and even when not using OP mapwide skills. People casually do 1 hour long survival missions in the void. We are killing Vor so fast that some of the players haven't even seen him and don't know what he looks like or what don't know what his powers are.

So...no we are not outdated in any shape or form.

  10. Fun is a subjective thing. I can honestly say that my worst experience with this game involves a mirage, locking all enemies for 20+ minutes and rendering any type of gameplay meaningless. I can get behind some missions featuring low capped enemies for mindless slaughtering fun(like dynasty warriors). But I also expect challanging raids and maps after the enemy tweaks.

  11. That mission is doable with standart Excalibur loadout without any arcanes or other divine weapons. You just need to find a defendable position. Still it is hard though. I died 2 times just because I tried to revive other people. You either need to find a group that defends the same room or a group nobody cares about anyone else.

  12. So here is my initial observations.

As an excal main player, I am ok with its nerf. EB is way too OP and I never interested in other 3 powers. They were never viable. Because I could clear rooms while in an other room or behind a wall. That power needed nerf. Only thing I need to add is slide radial issue. I would rather it would be removed from EB if the intention is making excalibur a close ranged warrior. Because we have very limited melee attacks in the game and not giving sliding melee attack to Excalibur hurts its close combat warrior efficiency. Instead of a useful attack we have ineffective version of our 2nd power. And now it costs energy. I don't see any reason to use it. Instead, you can easily synergie EB with radial blur. For example while EB is active we can cast stronger or less energy consuming RB. This would give us a reason to actually use the 2nd power. Other than this, I am ok with the nerf.

Personally, I never liked to use mag. First power was ok. Never figured out a efficient use for its 2nd and 3rd powers. Found them boring. 4 was ok too. With the changes its 2nd and 3rd powers turned into something useful and interesting. I didn't do the math for dmg numbers but if they are lacking you can give constructive feedback to buff dmg. I think addition of bullet attractor and synergies between powers, DE improved the design of mag and make it more interesting to play with. Buffing or debuffing the damage numbers is a much more simple task compared to this.

Similarly I didn't calculated numbers for volt but I think additions like tesla coil attacks will bring more fun to the game. I generally approve volt changes.

Mesa received a huge buff. I started see them in void actions after such a long time. Good for them.

Mirage debuffed. I can honestly say my worst memories of this game involves mirage locking whole map for 20+ round at T4. In a game full of grinding and repetition, T4 interception with fully locked enemies got to be the most boring thing. I am glad it is nerfed.

I didn't test trinity. So I can say much about it.

  13. I think a lot of people were expecting to get new items at day one. It is setting yourselves for disappointment.

A possible "high costing items" trend continuation could cause even more grind than now and I don't want that. I know warframe has problems with repetitive content. Playing 20 minutes in the void and just getting fusion cores is a frustrating experience, I know this too.

^ But these are the problems, devs needs fixing. "I can't build the latest weapon with a day of farming" type of arguments don't help anything at all. I played a ton of mmos and f2p games, not one of them gives you free access to all content, all armor, all weapon in day one(or in one week) for all players. I got two of the vauban parts already. And I am not even farming them. I am not saying RNG help all of you similarly but you can't even equip many things in swtor unless you are a paying customer.

We really should be looking for the fixes for the real problems such as having new quests, new maps, new mission types, more involved invasions, alternative places for resources(such as oxium), getting rid of repetitive void structure, key and prime parts RNG drop fixes etc. Just lowering costs for some items will not resolve any real issues of the game(except it will enable you to grab "one" item quickly and probably would let you forget about it that much sooner).

Other games has much more grindy work than warframe. But they tend to hide it behind long and involved questlines, more varied type of events and they give variety of options to do on that day. I believe warframe needs some of that treatment.
