  1. I put some thought to the different enemies and I was thinking that the Grineers are a military.

They should move as squads, shield guys up front followed by the a set of regular infintry.

Also I think the grineer shield unit's shields shoulds stop punch through. Their shields have a clever design with the little vent and I think if things get changed so they move in squads they'd need a way to stop from just being wiped EVERY-time.

I also think that their granades should be visibley larger or show a notification of some kind.

I also think that different Grineer factions should have different types of granades. (Shrapnel, Tazer, Incendiary, Cold...etc)

A Grineer Commander enemy type could be fun also, but that seems more complicated.

There could also be a Medic Grineer that could remove Procs if left alive. (I think they'd only be able to target one unit maybe two at a time.)

  2. As I start writing this I have no idea how it might be implemented. It goes slightly against the grain of Warframe's non-traditional MMO gameplay style, but what I want to an open area which has enemies, missions, and contacts.

The best way to fit this in that I have come up with (It might have come to me as I wrote the last sentence...) is to have surface areas on the planets that have lost their orbital relays.

These land based hubs could be put under assault by the local enemy population.

They could also provide the Tenno with missions to better secure their position by either driving back enemies or collecting resources.

They could also provide some form of bounties or be the launching point for the weekly sorties.

There could even be an event to build them and launch them planet side, then secure the "beachhead" gained.

This would also provide hubs for players on each planet once again.

  3. I'm not sure why you're against this idea, but the whole idea is to make the game more organic. Switching out of your game to browse the internet really damages the experience. It weakens the universe they are trying to build by diverting players attention away from it, even if it is momentarily.

For me, I guess I'd liken the experience to riding a roller coaster and it stops abruptly every so often so I can check a map to see what comes next on the ride.

Like you said, it is a personal opinion so I can understand it not bothering some, but for me it is pretty uncool.

  4. I really liked building my kubrow and Forma-ing her enough times she is more powerful than me and my friends worry about the waste of resources. I want more ways to use my kubrow and I have some ideas I'm going to share.

The idea is a similar concept to dog contests that are help in real life.

Players could enter their kubrows in challenges, and here's the odd part, control them from the first person. Basically the idea would be the warframe/tenno would be calling commands. There could be obstetrical courses, stealth, puzzles and even combat against some simulated opponents.

It might even be interesting if kubrows could have some level of parkour skill similar to the warframes.

Maybe their parkour skills are unlocked/developed by completing challenges you enter them into as the bond between Tenno Warframe and Kubrow grows.

After your kubrow gains some skills it might even be able to follow along in your path as you parkour through levels.

  5. But alt tab-ing is such a huge pain and it really brakes me out of my space/ninja mentality. I don't want to go from ricocheting of a half dozen walls while firing a machine gun one minute to staring blankly at a wiki page! It's terrible and I know it's no ones fault, but it is jarring and inorganic. It can be done soooooooo much better.

  6.           Prime drop locations are always a pain to look up if you don't already know where they are, and considering how fast the number of prime parts and BPs in the game grows I think there needs to be a more natural/immersive way to find this information. I have a few ideas on how to do this below:

    1. This idea is probably the most organic.

Basically just add a database room to the Relays.

It could also be put in a room that already exists like Cephalon Simaris trading info on a certain key's drop table or Darvo selling you back alley info in return for running missions for him, or maybe both.

    2. This builds off of the, in my opinion, under used Focus system.

Instead of using focus points to build passives in lenses a player could spend points to boost the power of their Tenno. The Tenno would then be able to "sense" the powerful relics in the void because of their previous ties to it/them.

Each upgrade to the power of their Tenno could unlock the info about the next void level's drop table and the player could simply go and talk to the Tenno to view the droptables they have unlocked.

    3. Mastery Rank

This last suggestion is the most simple.

At certain mastery ranks the player could just unlock the information about the voids drop tables to view in their pause menu.

Personally I would really enjoy the first suggestion the best since it could build the world and characters more as well as build the usefulness of the relays.

  7. A friend of mine loves ember and as we farmed some prime parts we discussed Ember's power set. We felt that her "1' and "3" could use a change since they often seems to fall by the way side when she is played.

Ember's "1": We felt her fire ball should. upon contact with the enemy have a more impressive result and knock them down as well as those around the target.

Ember's "3": We thought she needed some form of defense so we thought that this ability could work in a way similar to Volt's Shield. The wall of fire would hurt those that crossed over it and it would add fire damage to projectiles fired through it. We also thought that since Volt's Shield adds critical chance Ember's Fire Wall could increase status effect chance.

Well, that's all I've got. I hope it helps, or at least stirs someones thinking juices up a bit.

  8. I saw this youtube video by a user called Tactile Potato (Titled "Warframe: Worst Frame??") about a few people's problems with the current Hydroid and thought I'd give my opinion and ideas on the subject here in the forums.

I'm not going to address the issue some people have with how he looks, but I will say new skins for warframes are always welcome (...and he would look sweet in an old deep sea diving suit.)

These are the changes to his abilities I feel would make Hydroid more interesting and fun:

    1. Tempest Barrage:

This ability stays as it is currently except the impact damage it deals is mixed with explosive damage.

    2. Tidal Surge:

This would mostly stay the same except when he is in his Whirlpool.

If Tidal Surge is cast while he is in his whirlpool form he explodes out of the whirlpool in a surge of water and knocks down surrounding enemies.

    3. Undertow-> Becomes Whirlpool

    Whirlpool:

Hydroid changes into a whirlpool and while in this form he is able to move slowly. Enemies near whirlpool get pulled into it slowly. Otherwise this acts the same as his Undertow does now.

(This ability would also be used to synergies with others)

    4. Tentacle swarm:

This ability also works as it does now only it just knocks down enemies instead of picking them up.

If Tentacle swarm is cast while Hydroid is in his whirlpool the tentacles come out of the whirlpool and enemies dragged into the pool get picked up and thrown at other enemies by the tentacles. Thrown enemies also knockdown enemies they are thrown into.

Let me know what you all think about my suggestions!!!!!!

  9. I just want to say - this is a great list. It's stronger on some points, but gets a bit weaker towards others, yet it's still full of really good ideas. I like the Infested tileset additions you proposed the most, it reminds me of a common request to add the "Corpus Ship AI" lines back into the Corpus tilesets.

Out of the list, my top three would be the Infested tileset additions, the Void Mission type, and ...of course, resource missions.

The bottom three would be the Infestation Archwing suggestion, Ordis' Memory Problems, and the change to Orokin Defense Structures. (I'll elaborate on this in a moment, after this next bit.)

Lotus announcing the tileset changes is a great QOL fix, considering she just chimes in randomly like "Yeah, the ship's #*($%%@, by the way." Thanks, I kinda got that already. The Sabotage Mission one is also somewhat nice, it's funny because during Invasion missions, when you 'jump' between tilesets, there is often fire and wreckages.

However, the Archwing suggestion doesn't have much gameplay 'meat' to it. What kind of mode is it? It's a nice, creepy scene and all, but what would be the over-all objective? Archwing Survival? I don't know what it's meant to be a suggestion for.

It's not that I don't like the "Ordis Memory Problems" thing, it's that it just seems like it should be fleshed out more than it is. I do love the 'flashback quests' idea, and they did mention this - and I just love it. But if you're going to suggest it, it would help everyone if you could go further into detail of how you want that to work.

The reason I think that Orokin Defense Structures shouldn't be changed is more of a lore and gameplay nitpick. I like to think that the Orokin had those defenses for a reason - and even if the Neural Sentry has a hold on the Corrupted forces, I'd like to think that it doesn't care to give them protection or control over defenses, as that would potentially weaken said defenses - and the point is to flush out the Tenno and other factions.

This is some exactly the kind of feed back I wanted, I appreciate all of it.

About the infestation scene that you said was creepy:

That is all I wanted it to be. In my opinion the infested are being underutilized as a driving factor in the lore. I got the inpression they were supposed to be a weapon capable of genocide that is on the loose.

Another part of the reason for that scene is a little selfish. I thought it'd be a cool.   :D

    Orokin Defense Structure:

I thought this change would make the defenses make more sense. If I built a pocket which could take my enemies over and turn them against the others. I wouldn't want the stationary defenses I had set up to weaken/kill the other defenses.

I also think it would be a fairly easy way to increase the difficulty of the void without having to rework anything. Personally I think they could use a bit of a beefing up.

  10. Destroying the void has been a topic since March of 2015 with Tennolive, I am incredibly surpised people are still new to this.

To OP: I am really fond of the Ordis Memory mission type. The devstream team actually did discuss a similar idea of flashback quests several months ago.

It was my understanding that they were talking about incorporating void missions into regular missions half way through. Of course, I often loose track of when they mentioned what.

  11. Infested Levels:

Levels that have infested flesh act as attackers to Tenno in much the same way security cameras, energy drain doors, and turrets work in other tile sets. (Maybe the infested flesh that has grown throughout the ship has eyes instead of cameras and poison darts instead of turrets.)

After infested exterminate missions the infested flesh that is part of the ship structure should react and start to crush/damage the ship. This would start a countdown to mission failure if the Tenno did not evacuate in time.

After the Tenno Evacuated the level a small clip would show their Lisets flying away from a ship being crushed then exploding.

Ship needed destroying to stop a collision course?

    Infestation Archwing:

Players fight their way to the control room of an Infested Corpus/Grineer ship to gain control of it. They enter it through an elevator in the center of the room. Armored shutter are close over the windows on each side. Corpus in the room are dead and the player activates the console which causes the shutters to grind open. Infested can be seen crawling over the outside hull of the ship and turn to swam the cockpit where the player is. Transition to archwing happens with Ordis deploying the archwing through the mass of infested swarming the player dispersing them temporarily. Camera pans behind player and they take control again.

    Lotus:

Should comment on random tile set effects when the Tenno drop into a mission and/or during the intro cut scene.

    Sabotage Missions:

Missions on ships where a player sabotages a reactor should gain the “Fire Damaged” Tile effect once it is destroyed.

Ship interior could flashes black and after a bit the emergency lights kick on showing the new damaged tile set.

    Ordis Memory Problems:

As Ordis regains his memory maybe Tenno replay parts of it as the specific warframes that took part in remembered events.

A filter that gave a data-corrupted/old view to the mission would also help immersion.

This also might allow for the reveals and obtaining of more “Proto” Skinned warframes upon completing challenges with in the recovered memory.

Perhaps the need for the Tenno to “Link” with these fragmented memories Ordis has if to unlock the next set. New sets could also be unlocked as the player mastery levels as well.

    Orokin Defense Structures:

              Should not hurt Orokin units.

    New Void Mission Type:

Tenno infiltrate and destroy the Neural Sentry controlling the void, but once they do Corpus, Grineer, and the Infested start to flood the tile set and to gain control of it.

These missions could be Lotuses attempt to limit the other faction’s access to void areas.

    Resource Missions:

Player would be able to go on missions to obtain a specific amount of a specific resource. These missions would be limited to a certain amount per day.

This could help relieve some unnecessary grinding.

  12. Hey! My friends and I were playing when the recent PC Plasma Sword alert popped up and we went to go get it to the chagrin of one of our party. This lead to a discussion about it's lack luster statistics and several jokes (All in good humor of course.)

I think the sword could use a bit of a rework to make it more interesting and these are my ideas.

    1. Name Change: Plasma is cool, just not literally. I'd suggest something along the lines of Arc Sword or Lightning Edge or Electric Blade. (Just suggestions of course.)

    2. A stat boost: I'm not not DE weapon balancer, but I think these weapon needs a quick tweak. I have no idea how much of a change it needs though. Perhaps it could do slash and electric.

    3. New gameplay mechanic: In my opinion, what makes the weapons in this game so interesting are their uniqueness and the variety of roles they each fill. I think this weapon would be more interesting with a unique ability.

My suggestion would be that each hit does slash and electric before sending out an electric arc to enemies within a certain range damaging them. Maybe the Electric arc could also have a chance to trigger electric proc at a reduced percentage.

That's all I've got! Thanks for reading!

  13. These are some ideas I've had recently and am posting them together for the sake of convenience. Let me know what all of you think!

  14. I've looked through a ton of catagories and I believe I'm posting this in the right place. If not, you have my apologizes.

I'm still swimming theough the flood of new game features that have just been added, but am enjoying each in turn as I try them. PvP is still untested for me for me, but that is because it hasn't grabbed my interest just yet. (Although I am glad it is an option.)

I see a lot of angry feed back slathered across the forums at the moment and thought I'd post my thanks.

I love this game and appriciate the work you guys put into it. Tons of us do! We just don't always say it.

    Keep up the great work!

Ok I've had my say and someone will read this. I'm toughly satisfied.

  15. They look really amazing...buuuut as a more casual player they do make me feel a little left out.

I would love some small raids with high difficulty. I'd really enjoy a more puzzle based experience with a 2 player cap or something.

Co-ops like that would be awesome since there is no way 8 of my friends will organize to play raids.

  16. It'd be cool if there were solo only syndicate missions.

At a certain rank you could run a really difficult mission for a syndicate unique reward.

Ooooo like a syndicate warframe skin.

That'd be sweet...but also insane amounts of work to do a skin for every warframe from every syndicate.
