You understand this game is a power fantasy type game right? so why are you trying to limit the power fantasy? you compared nyx's ability to contol ONE enemy at a time vs revenant's ability to control a large quantity, without mentioning nyx has an even stronger immortality ability than revenant, but you aren't called for that to be nerfed??? Reave doesn't just restore health and shields either, it has a decently fast travel time and strips armour. In addition to this, reave converts all enemies stunned with mesmer skin into thralls. The only real points you've made is that thrall damage is lacking, and the pillars aren't very effective, in addition to a (very) lacklustre passive ability.

    Do you think this is not a proper interpretation of new players? Is the proposed "skip" solution full of too many negative repercussions? Maybe another angle on it I'm missing as I am biased (a bit) in favor of a "skip" option?

     

    This is why I proposed a split progression approach. Let a new player jump to new content with the Duviri weapon/gear rental system. Then have the "real" progression path stay open as a thing they can and must eventually go back to. Once the two paths meet they merge. I am pretty strongly against deleting 10 years of story, I think this preserves the new player experience while also giving a potential hook into that experience. Whispers of the Wall may be overwhelming for a new player, but it might also be the catalyst to get them invested into seeing how they got there.

    "Hey I am going to play this game that is narrative driven, but I am going to pay money to skip the narrative." Aside from this, it is a gateway into more malicious monetisation. DE may not do it on purpose, but they can and have missed the mark on multiple occasions. This is not something to just allow lightly.

    Instead of adding pay to skip, why not just streamline the older quests? Introduce them earlier in the starchart 🤷‍♂️

     

    They are streamlining old quests. The best thing for them to do would be to release a cinematic, but a really good one, summarising the whole main universe story (no continuity stuff or w/e it was called), then have the option for newer players to go through a curated list of main story missions to get to whispers in the wall, but not charge for it.

  4. Okay, first of all, no. Heavy Scythes are needed, but not as a literal god tier weapon that turns most tanks into immortals. Wall attacks, as stated above, are not used.

    high crit? sure. high multiplier? sure. THE HIGHEST IN THE GAME? no. That's not how balancing works mate. Try a less begging approach and in the correct subforum. 

  5. So basically, I'm annoyed cause the rework announced sounds super lazy, so uh here's my idea


    Passive: Titania always has 6 active razorfly drones, enemies that come within x metres of titania gets marked by a razorfly. When enemies are killed by titania and her allies whilst marked, they drop a buff depending on the type (basically her 2 buffs drop when enemies came into range with titania and are killed)

    Spellbind: mostly the same except with an 8m radius at max, and 15 seconds maximum duration.

    Tribute: Expend your shields to refresh the number of razorflies that titania has, and healing the ones that are currently active. Allies within 25m gain 25% movement speed buff for 30s

    Daze: Enemies marked by razorflies explode, removing their mark, knocking down enemies anddealing a % of the targets health as aoe blast damage, and marking 2 enemies for every 1 that detonated.

    Razorwing: reduced energy cost on abilities (by at least 50%), affected by aviator and agility drift, buff the damage of the diwata to 350 damage, with a 25% critical chance and a 2.5 multiplier, and a 25% status chance.

    Buff changes:

    Dust: Razorfly jams enemy guns within a 25m radius of titania and allies for 20s

    Thorns: Reduce incoming damage by 50% for titania and allies within 30m for 30s, the 50% of damage blocked is reflected back at the attackers

    Entangle: Enemies within 25m of tiania are slowed by 30% (affected by power strength up to 75%) for 30s

    Full Moon: 25% of all companion damage is dealt as true damage for 20s 

  6. well time to never play the switch version. I got my arcanes through raids and trades and no way am I going to bother trying to get a full set of grace, 2 guardians, energise, 2 trickery, fury, strike, and ultimatum, as well any many unranked ones

    I was doing my space marine, and decided on a yellow suit energy, when it showed as green, also I did the sortie and in the rescue a bunch of oxium ospreys showed up, when we killed em they dropped *green* oxium

  8. her 4 needs the cap on damage absorbed a sec removed, her 1 will probably be going up to 2 (said on stream) but I would rather it had a small aoe like limbo's 1. Her 3 could do what you said but with a fixed duration (just to give her a dump stat) otherwise that's a good idea you got there

    That's the main grip that came to mind when I looked at the changes. I don't play Saryn a whole lot, though I am currently working on a build for her, so I'm not really the best person to judge how the changes will affect her.

    corrosive is good against all health types, it has no drawbacks, just proc miasma to give viral proc ez
