  1. The game works a lot better now after all the hotfixes you guys deployed.

Some bugs that may or may not have been reported:

--- Rather often I get stuck at the "Please wait..." while attempting to queue for a (public) mission. No matter how long I wait, nothing happens. I am forced to use ALT+TAB and close the game via the Task Manager.

--- The "Minimize" button sometimes disappears from chat window.

  2. The new ship thing looks interesting so far. However, it looks like that there is quite a number of bugs to report regarding the update.

(Screenshots in the [ spoiler ] tag)

--- A minor bug with the quest that shows up in the navigation panel.

--- MODS are not showing properly in the inventory. They are missing their respective pictures.

--- I have noticed that I am missing some of the fully upgraded mods in my inventory. They show up as installed on my weapons/warframes (pre-patch installed MODS) but are completely left out in the MODS inventory. So far I've noticed a fully upgraded Hell's Chamber, Split Chamber and Overextended missing (there might be more). The latter two show up in the "upgrade menu" of weapons/warframes. There should be a second (fully upgraded) Split Chamber on the list, too.

    EDIT 1

--- Occasionally I get stuck at "Please wait..." screen while trying to join a squad on a mission. No matter how long I wait, nothing happens. The controls are non-responsive even though everything looks like it's still working "in the background".

--- The game freezes for a few moments when a weapon levels up. (Not sure if this happens only at that time, I'd like someone to confirm this, too.)

--- Now a question/suggestion: Is it possible to make the mouse scroll work at the "Mission Complete" screen to scroll through rewards and mods obtained? The only way to do so now is to click and drag the scroll bar.

    EDIT 2

--- Yup, just checked and quite a lot of Rare Fully Upgraded MODS are missing from the inventory. (Radial Disarm, Vortex, Sound Quake etc.) I guess I am not the only one experiencing this as some people report the same problem in Region chat.

  3. 1.The game often freezes in place for a few seconds and then everything returns to normal. But it doesn't stop the enemies from attacking you or the rescue target.

    2. Where is the "Exit Game" button from the log-in menu? ALT+F4 does not work. I must use ALT+TAB and then quit the game using the task manager OR log-in and then use the "Quit Game" option from the ESC menu.

    3. Each time I log-in I get some part of the quest I have already completed show up again. (e.g "Install the Navigation Segment", "Vor's Prize" etc.)

  4. Nova carrying an invisible weapon in the Dojo.

Ogris missle passes through objects; no interaction resulting in no explosion/damage. (Tried to "capture" this one but it's kinda useless.)

This is how the Solar System looks like after some completed missions. It's impossible to interact with it / click on anything with the "Log Out" button being an exception. A re-log is required to return it to normal.

EDIT: Got carried away and I apologize for posting all of these bugs here. Not all of them belong in the "Art & Animation Bugs" section.

  5. Update: I've been able to play normally in the last few days. Nothing has changed regarding my settings. Even though the Firewall Error message awaits me every time I log in, I can play without restrictions. I am at loss here. What could be causing the problem and how come the game occasionally works just fine and yet sometimes it partially works becoming an 'offline' game (all the mentioned issues in the main post)?

  6. Hey guys. I seem to have a bit of a problem here regarding a firewall ('Make sure that your firewall permits UDP ports >this< and >that<') which seems to further lead to offline friend and clan list. I've already tried doing everything mentioned on the forum (port forwarding and such) and I've also tried contacting the staff. Nothing has worked so far. This has been a problem for a long time for many players. I wonder if someone has come up with a solution to this?

Sometimes recycling the power on router allows me to play but if I close the Warframe app I will need to reset the power on router again in order to play with other people. The odd thing about this is that when I encounter the problem and just leave the game on for a few minutes, some users appear on the clan/friend list but it still won't allow me to play with anyone.

(Oh, I forgot to say that there are two people connected to the same router playing Warframe. Power recycling allows only one user to play while other is left with all the mentioned issues. Of course, before trying to do anything I made sure that both PCs use diferent port numbers in-game.)

Some things that may be of use in solving this:

-UPnP Device Host in Windows Services (services.msc) is allways disabled. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. (I am hardly even an amateur but I've thought that it might have something to do with this)

-Errors that CCleaner reports after I have used Registry Cleaner (Even after cleaning the registry, Warframe rules still exist in Windows Firewall and Advanced Security as valid ones)

    Problem                      Data

    Invalid Firewall Rule    D:\Games\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Warframe.exe
    Invalid Firewall Rule    D:\Games\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Warframe.exe
    Invalid Firewall Rule    D:\Games\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Warframe.exe
    Invalid Firewall Rule    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Tools|RemoteCrashSender.exe

    and under Registry Key:

    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules
    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules
    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules
    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules

Any kind of help is appreaciated.

  7. Thank you for the update. I'm still downloading, so I have yet to see how's everything.

On the side note, any new, working solution for the infamous firewall / strictNAT problem? That includes contacts appearing offline and all problems that come with it in package. Though chat seems to work properly now.

  8. Verifying game files on Steam does not fix the problem for eveyone. Like Raelus said, it's just endless cycle of updating. Any way around this?

After all this feedback from players, won't DEVs tell us anything? Maybe it's not a problem on players' side.

  9. Hi all!

I'm also getting this problem here is how it looks on my router:

Trigger port Start         Trigger port end     Trigger Protocol         Open Port Start         Open Port End        Open Protocol

What to put here?       What to put here?         UDP?                   What to put here?     What to put here?            UDP?

On my windows  firewall everything is fine.

I'm not a computer genius so I'm posting this so you can explain and help me.

    Thank you for your understanding.

These settings are similar on all routers.

Trigger port Start         Trigger port end     Trigger Protocol         Open Port Start         Open Port End        Open Protocol

        3960                      3960                  UDP                     3960                   3960                   UDP

Do this one more time, but instead of 3960 put 3962. That should do it.

I just did this and checked if those ports are open with an app from these guys (http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm). It reports that those ports are open indeed, however, I still have problems joining an Online game, seeing Contacts and similar.

    --------------------

Even after forwarding ports on my router and checking Windows Firewall, I'm facing the problem mentioned above. The only solution for me is to restart the router, which somehow makes the game playable Online (Firewall error pops up, of course), but after exiting the game process must be repeated in order for the game to work Online.

What can be done to fix this? Is this even a problem on player's side? This became a major issue only after a certain update, I think...(or MOA event)

  10. If you use verify cache from the Steam client, it will always find bad data and replace it.

This happens because the Steam CDN servers have a copy of client data that is older than what you get from patching through the launcher. The following cycle occurs:

    1) Install through Steam

    2) Patch through launcher, local data no longer matches Steam data.

    3) Verify through steam, client data mismatch results in replacement (reinstall)

    4) Patch through launcher, local data no longer matches Steam data.

    ... repeat

It is generally accepted to not verify cache in Steam for games with external launchers / patching clients and is best to disable auto updates for the game in the Steam UI. If you are certain that game assets are corrupt on your computer you can use this to replace them (until DE implements their own verify function) but keep in mind you'll get the same results as with a full uninstall and reinstall.

I came to realize that after I tried verifying the cache. A magic circle, indeed. However, the problem no longer seems to show up... at least at the moment. Maybe it had to do something with those recent hot-fixes. I hope that's the case and it's finally back to normal.

For those people who might still be having this problem - can't join any Online game or see Contacts offline: Try resetting your router. It worked for me whenever this problem occurred. It's silly to do that every single time, but at least it let me play this game properly - Online. (I wasn't resetting the router so often and it wasn't always necessary, so try it only after you conclude that you can't join an Online game) Again, this may only solve my problem, but it might work for you too.

  11. For those of you that installed through steam try verifying the game cache. I was having this exact same problem and tried all the firewall fix and everything in between. After the verify it said I was missing some files, steam automatically downloaded the game again and after I launched again it seems to work. Not sure if this is a perm. fix, but it is working for me at this moment; will update if things change. Steps for those who dont know: right click on game title in steam library list, properties, local files, and verify integrity of game cache. Good Luck

I was missing some files too. Steam is downloading something for Warframe now (size around 1.2GB). Will wait and see if this is the fix regarding the firewall issue.
