  1. DE! Ignore EVERYONE HERE! You put a lot of hard work into the Bladestorm animation, making it look badass and kickass while it did the awesome job at killing it is supposed to do. I played before they revamped it's style, so I can tell all you younger members brand new to Ash that as it is now is FAR superior to what it used to be - which was just teleporting behind the guy and doing the attack animation.

This. Bunch of whiners in this thread.

Bladestorm might not be an optimal choice, but neither is anything else when compared to Trinity and Rhino.

I already said in my own post: They gave Ash cool animations, they realized it was underpowered, they made it faster, it was still horribly underpowered and you wouldn't be able to see the animations if they went any faster.

So they did what you have now: the animations are slowed down so that they look awesome, and the skill does more damage than any other warframe ult that I can think of. Still not very good, but seriously, stop complaining.

  2. What you have against the 3 days finisher? it's need to be faster , way faster time you are using this all ennemies got wiped already

They changed it. It used to be that it did an average amount of damage and the animation was faster.

The thing is that this made it crappy because it did average damage despite being slow... and if they speeded it up, you wouldn't get to see the cool animations.

So it does 2500 damage now, which is far above average, but it's as slow as all F***.

  3. I always found the rage about arc traps to be rather petty.

Sure they're annoying, sure they create a negative thing that's just frustrating without any actual gameplay, but they never really hurt the game--not the way enemies nailing me with Magnetic damage do. I held this belief right up until the moment when my invisible Loki got killed by TWO arc traps while trying to sneak through a Wings of Liberty level.

This ruined my chance at stealth and caused me to fail the mission on top of using a revive. Arc Traps have continued to cause similar problems for me on other runs, to the point where very few have ended well--because I can't sneak through Arc Traps; they'll kill me unless I blow them away. And even with a totally silent weapon, breaking my invisibility might blow my cover.

They were always just a minor annoyance that didn't hurt the game so much. But now? Now they are actively ruining my enjoyment of the game.

    F***. These. Things.

  4. Just look at that dude inside the cryopod....in the defense mission...he is bald and grey...but, he look like a humand to me...

That damages my theory that the Warframes are artificial bodies, and the only bodies we have left...

    But it's also weird.

    1) the Corpus snatch up crypods that evidently have Excaliburs and Mags in them.

    2) YOU are an Excalibur who was in a cryopod.

  5. Reposting my theory:

The Warframes are not merely suits of power armor, but Ghost in the Shell style artificial bodies created for battle. Perhaps the Tenno were all wiped out, and the only way we live on is in the brains/consciousnesses that were loaded into nearly ageless Warframe bodies and stored in cryo.

Maybe the Orokin/Tenno/whoever did this intentionally; they knew they were going to die, so they made a desperate move to ensure that they would leave a lasting legacy.

This would explain memory loss--the Warframes weren't meant to be used this way. But here we are. The Warframes are the only bodies that we have, and all we are capable of is war. There is no Tenno life offscreen--literally all we do is what we do in the game. We fight the Grineer, we hinder Corpus operations, we build our power and become deadlier and deadlier.

I am also of the opinion that the player represents one Tenno who downloads their brain into the Warframe that you choose from the Arsenal before every mission.

  6. Hence, the Tenno feel no pain--if they did, they'd be ancient disruptors instead. So they do not scream or shout or grunt, or even acknowledge the fact that they're bleeding to death. They just keep fighting until they lose consciousness, and even then they can be popped right back up without much effort.

    Ghost in the Shell.

(DE already stated we'd never have voices)

I think this is further evidence for my theory: That the Warframes are not merely suits of power armor, but Ghost in the Shell style artificial bodies created for battle.

Perhaps the Tenno were all wiped out, and the only way we live on is in the brains/consciousnesses that were loaded into nearly ageless Warframe bodies and stored in cryo.

  7. If the galantine was single, or dual target instead of three then it would be very balanced relative to other weapons.

    IF.

Also, I wasn't aware that the Orthos was any good for normal attacks. I figured Kogake was the one for that, with its crit chance.

Orthos, Fragor, Gram, Reaper, etc. are now basically Galatines except strictly worse.

  8. The existence of the Galatine makes every other melee weapon in my Arsenal meaningless, except as ways to knowingly handicap myself because they look cool.

I don't have an Acrid so I'm not supposed to say anything about how there's only one pistol in this game. I also don't have a Mag, but I *am* working on building my first Warframe.

  9. Support the Grineer and save maybe a few Tenno, support Corpus save thousands. Hmmm. Which do you think is better? I do not see the benefit of allying myself with the Grineer, since all they'll do is hunt us down once they get what we want. The Corpus do not hunt us, at least not as viciously as the Grineer. The Grineer rewards are worthless anyway. Those who ally with the Grineer are traitors.

I don't see any Tenno living in the Corpus settlements on Mars.

Actually I have no idea who lives there.

F*** 'em. There are very few of us, and every single one counts. Sacrifice the faceless millions for a handful of Tenno? No loyal Tenno would even blink at such a decision.

  10. You're basing that off of speculation. It will probably be like dera/Spectra shots. Lasers, but a poor damage type.

Besides, lore wise wouldn't the grineer make better heavy weapons like hand cannons?

The Corpus weapon looks a lot cooler.

On the other hand, I am NOT taking a Prova over a Machete.

  11. Invasion could never work as a permanent addition to the game. (Not in it's current form, anyways.) You could have a massive clan like the 9 Broframe clans and they'd set a goal, and most of the playerbase couldn't fight against those numbers.

Maybe it would just be a mission modifier, like Nightmare Mode.

Also, maybe it doesn't matter and the changes would be interesting?

  12. Ya.. and the "Choose side by reward" does not apply to the Tier 2 Rewards (Vandal/Wraith Weapon) so everyone will end up with a Wraith Mash!tty even if you chose Corpus and wanted the Vandal. Bad design, DE. Bad design... but it is not too late to change that ;)

F*** YOUR S#&$, some of us really want a Machete that doesn't suck.

  13. Advice for newbies:

Spend your starting plat on a weapon potato and a Warframe potato.

You will earn 10k a lot faster than you think. Spend it on a Braton. This weapon is a bit of a newbie crutch, but it is also a faithful weapon that will serve you well from Mercury to midgame.

Excalibur same thing as Braton--but that's up to you.

  14. Suppose we have a little misogynist here. :I

    Yup.

Be disappointed, OP, and don't buy her. Nobody will miss you.

What the F*** am I looking at? Are those stilettos/high heels I'm seeing?! I want to see thick kind of frame, flat boots, heavy armor type, all that jazz. Not something that looks like chunks were taken from a JRPG (boob armor, obvious &#!-cheek armor, high heels in combat, etc).

I like the first one. Sexy, thin, fighter type. You can have a badass female character without needing it to be an ultra-realistic, tough-looking, respectful representation of what a woman who can swing a sword would look like. She looks like she could do Excalibur S#&$, jumping around and slashing people up.

The second one is @(*()$ ridiculous. Anime proportions, ridiculous hips, obvious stilettos that make Saryn look conservative. In a game where some of her compatriots are as weird and inhuman looking as Saryn and Nekros.

  15. When I first started playing Warframe, I thought the roll was awesome. It makes you look agile.

It keeps you moving forward, keeps your momentum up, while still visually showing that you're absorbing the shock of falling. Much better than having to stop when you land, or having no landing animation. It looks good and it serves a purpose.

We definitely still need some kind of landing animation--I don't know how to make it so that you have a landing animation that doesn't make you momentarily stop, but doesn't force you to roll in one direction. Maybe if it does force you to stop, but it's much shorter and less restrictive--your character lands on his feet and lowers into a squat, still holding their weapons in the same ready position.

  16. I agree completely, but they would need to implement more mods in a way that doesn't clutter the current system that is so painstakingly full already, and find a way to supplement the high rank mods people have fused specifically for their sentinels.

IMO there is no such thing as too painfully full. You only need one of each mod, further mods are just convenient for fusion. Having 300 Common mods would create a kind of "collect 'em all" thing where you'd get different useless stuff all the time instead of the same useless stuff.

As far as making money for DE, gazillions of mods for you to fusion up means people playing longer means more money.

  17. Braton costs 10k.

You can potato it with your starting plat.

Grind until you have some rifle mods worth a S#&$.

Potato your Warframe while you're at it.

Now you have the ability to rip and tear through Mercury and Venus.

All it takes is a little knowledge, a little guidance.
