I'm not sure where to begin.

Well, let's pick this one; why the Hek is it always a face slapping, middle finger throwing insult for people to not be handed something?   Oh no, DE came up with a new way to encourage some players to spend money.  The horror.  It's almost as if they're a for profit company.

It is a F2P done right, you can obtain all core game items for free, you can obtain the games premium from other players if you choose not to buy it,  or you can choose to spend money to get it.

Prime Noggles are an incentive to spend money, nothing more. You are not entitled to none game bearing items just "because" and no one is offering insult for you to so eagerly take.

    1. I never asked to be handed anything.  At no point did I say 'I should never have to log on again, do anything, and get all these noggles.'  I simply feel that they should be able to be earned (earned being the key word there) in-game, since they were never part of the original 'deal' with Prime access to begin with.  That is a fair stance to take, even if you don't agree with it.  So no, as much as you and a few others here wanna throw 'entitled' around at people that don't like this, it isn't always a matter of entitlement.

    2. Yes, obviously they're incentive to spend money on the game, and surprise - I've spent plenty on Warframe.  Most of the Prime access packs of the last 2 and a half years, many Tennogen items, quite a few bundles/palettes/misc items and gifts for people that I play with.  Like I said, I got 4 of these prime noggles the day this feature went live.  So if we're going with 'only people who spend money and support the devs should have a say' then hey, here I am.

    3.  Retroactive rewards like this are never a good idea because they didn't factor into the original premise of Prime Access.  5 years later and suddenly there's another reason people should have been buying these packs with cash instead of trading with players all of this time.  Of course there are people who are going to feel burned by that.

I'm sure that the gesture was largely intended as a thank you to people who spend money on WF, but it doesn't send nearly as positive a message to people that don't (which the game both enables and encourages).

At the very least, can we get rid of the holographic "Lotuce?" I'd be perfectly fine with recording new voice lines for Ordis, so he can act as my handler in her absence.

I agree.  The continued presence of Lotus via hologram, despite her recent actions, feels really... weird.  Having Ordis or Teshin fill that role would be an improvement.

  3. While I love the idea of Prime noggles, this is IMO a pretty terrible way to go about handing them out.  And I say that as someone who just got 4 prime noggles in the mail.

This game boasts itself as 'F2P done right' and gives people the means to farm Prime frames and weapons in game - and 5 years later you guys decide 'lets give the people who straight-up buy stuff another reward!' despite the fact those people already get a huge amount of platinum and exclusive accessories as a 'bonus'.

Kinda feels like a middle finger to the people who build and trade with other players.  I get the idea of prestige but how is swiping my credit card more 'prestigious' than actually engaging with the game, its economy, farming things and trading with other players?

These need to be available to people who have the corresponding Prime frames, period.

Seems like the biggest complaint with her deluxe skin her the head. Even the people who like the skin don't like or use the head that comes with it hehe. I think the reason why some were let down or hate on it is because it's not that much different then her other default helmets. I guess not having the mohawk/rooster part would have made more people happy.

Generalizing is never a good idea.  There are people who like the skin (including its helm) and there are people who don't... different opinions are different.

  5. Having spent a few hours with the skin it has grown on me a bit.  I still prefer Ember Prime/Graxx by a vast margin, but this one does have some things that I've come to like.  The body is highly detailed, and it colors very well.  Yeah the mohawk is ridiculous and excessive, but ridiculous and excessive seems to be a trend with these deluxe skins, more often than not.

  6. Ember is far and away my favorite frame, so I bought it and managed to make it look not entirely awful with a fire/molten sort of color scheme.  But overall I'm not a fan of the design and haven't been since it was revealed.

And I think the pistol skin is bugged.  The video they released for these new deluxe skins shows Ember using it with one of the dual-wield secondaries but I can't find a single pair of guns that it can actually be applied to.

There's not much else I can do to help you if your problem is an obvious one and is obvious to everyone else. As my friend Ron White would say, "You can't fix stupid."

Nor can you fix rude idiots, it would seem.

Regardless I found the issue and it was actually specific to a particular bow, so mods can feel free to lock/close this topic.  Thanks to those of you who actually posted helpful information.

Multishot = more damage. It doesn't really effect accuracy all that much IMO. If the arrows land on the body I say mission accomplished. Taking time out to get the perfect headshot is time consuming and not very effective when faced with hordes of enemies. The best part of split chamber is... you don't have to use it. You can easily replace it for infected clip or stormbringer. But damage overall per shot and dps will go down if you decide to go this route. Facts are facts. Also there aren't any rules to Warframe other than 1 that's more or less unspoken: play the way you want to play to have fun.

I figured that by posting in the 'Players helping players' section of this forum, I'd avoid sarcasm and snark.  Wishful thinking I guess.

Yes, obviously Multishot = more damage.  That's a concept I already grasped quite clearly.  The point of my post was trying to find a viable build that doesn't use it, for reasons that I've already explained.  As for your 'headshots' comment, au contraire - the game has plenty of opportunities for a methodical approach.  Spy missions, rescue missions, etc... and its an approach that is rewarded with things like stealth kill affinity multipliers.  Warframe isn't always endless hordes of stuff swarming your face.

And it is similarly obvious that no one has to use multishot.  When I solo stuff of course I'll play how I please, but when playing with other people who are relying on me for damage/support etc, I prefer playing optimally.  It isn't just my time when I'm running with others.

I'm all for a nice mindless survival mission where Tigris Prime hits as many enemies as humanly possible, but I also appreciate being able to silently kill something with a single, well-placed arrow.  So color me disappointed that the best way to use a bow is by turning it into a shotgun with a string.

  9. When it comes to bows, I hate multishot.  Absolutely hate it.  I think of a bow as firing a single, deadly arrow with precision and accuracy - where as in Warframe, multishot essentially turns bows into a shotgun.  Gone is the hunter-style sniping and pinpoint accuracy, replaced with a messy spray of arrows that is lethal up-close but unreliable at long distances.

Are there builds for any of the noteworthy bows (Dread, Cernos, etc) that don't use Multishot, without being ridiculously gimped by it's absence?  I apologize for the 'first world problems' nature of the topic, but its something that bugs me whenever I try to play with a stealth-oriented approach.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  10. So I logged in today and downloaded the patch, browsed the shop for a bit then decided to go see if there were any updates to the Tenno customization.  Sadly I never made it to that point because my Tenno's face was all wrong - her skin color, lip color, facial structure were all completely different than they were before this patch.

    Please fix this.
