  1. DE, at least in my experience, has done much better then them in the community management department. They treat us much nicer, at least at face value. That is of course sans the recent Steve meltdown, but I can understand how he felt being backed into a corner like that. No one likes getting caught on their misinformation. 

    You weren't around for pre-U7.

     

    As for Steve and his reaction: if you don't want people finding out what you're doing, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

    Really!? Really DE? You remove catalysts and reactors from the "RNG" alert table, and temporarily force everyone back to a day-1 login reward of a platinum coupon so they can buy the things you just took out?

     

    This is honestly a detestable move from you as a business, DE. "We're taking out something everyone wanted badly, something that people lost sleep over, and instead we're going to make it cheaper for you to buy it from us instead!"

     

    I can only imagine, in a best-case scenario, that this potato famine is Steve's way of punishing the playerbase after his embarrassing debacle involving the endless defense reward tables. Because the worst-case scenario is that DE is either letting G1 make their cash shop decisions for them, or that DE is turning into Hi-Rez.

  3. It was an exploit.  It was a big enough problem that DE had to disable account resets until they came up with a solution.  So now if you contribute anything to dojo projects, you forfeit your 1 time reset.

    DE has not banned for any other exploits, only straight-up gamedata-manipulation. If they are suddenly only banning people who spend money and then exploit, then things are even worse than we all knew they were.

    Also, it wasn't a problem, DE was just trying to figure out how to force people to pay as much money as possible. Y'know, rather than giving them a reason to want to.

  4. This sounds like one of the situations where someone would buy a master founders pack, then dump all the forma/plat in the dojo, then reset.  If that's what you did, then that's probably why you were banned.

    So spending $100, using your plat, then using the reset provided, is worth banning the account? And you support this idea?

    According to your forum profile you started in May. When you started does in fact have everything to do with wether you know anything about how the game worked before you joined.

    And again, that has nothing to do with the topic of the thread, even though it would be fun to show you how narrow-minded your assumptions are. Really, if you can't talk about balancing rushers and turtles, perhaps you could clutter up some other thread while the discussion continues here?

  6. Ok mister I started after the first nerf to rushers. I'm sure you know everything that happened before you joined.

    I started playing around the first week of January, but this really has little to do with the topic of this thread. If you could please stop trying to derail it?

     

    DE has nerfed rushers multiple times and forced everyone to play at the lowest common denominator. While that's nice for those LCDs, all it does is frustrate and bore the majority of the bell curve. It's simply balanced to encourage the LCDs not to loiter in rooms for 5-10 minutes at a time.

  7. Actually, it is not incorrect. When they first nerfed rushers by requiring you to have 2 people at the end to start the countdown those that were not at extraction lost EVERYTHING. That is no longer the case but it used to be, thus the nerfs to rushers began.

    Sorry, but you're simply incorrect here.

     

    By your own statement, rushers have already been nerfed; for balance's sake, turtlers need to be nerfed as well to prevent negative effects on the gameplay of others.

  8. That nerf was to prevent people from exploiting the slide mechanic. They said in a previous livestream that wavedashing was an exploit and not an intended feature thus the nerf. I can't wait for them to nerf the jump kick melee spam people are abusing now.

    Like I said, your bias was apparent through your assumptions. You want people to stop having fun because it doesn't fit your specific view of the game. That is not on-topic for this thread, so either make a new one or try to stay on-topic, thanks!

     

    As far as the OP is concerned, he's claiming he's sitting at the exit waiting for his 3 other team mates who are taking their sweet time...you know...playing the game (imagine that).

     

    If I get what you're saying, it's that those 3 people are obviously wrong for playing the way they are and should go private or solo, and not the person who is sitting at the exit claiming he's amazing at the game and everyone else should keep pace.

    Except that the OP is not saying that, only you are. There's nothing here about right and wrong ways to play the game; the OP has said that rushers were nerfed in multiple ways, and they have been. The OP is asking for turtlers to be nerfed in turn, which is fair and balanced and would help reduce overall tension in the game.

     

    A mechanic that encourages players to reach the end more quickly, a timed reward or some such, is an idea that would apply here. Nobody is calling turtlers "bad", so you can calm down; you're not being attacked.

  9. Again, rushers were making everyone that wasn't at the extraction point lose EVERYTHING. Mods, blueprints, resources and credits. Totally acceptable right? As long as you get YOURS.

    This is incorrect. What people were losing (after the 1 minute countdown) was the credit bonus for the mission, not everything else. Please don't use hyperbole/patently false information to try to argue something, it weakens your own case terribly.

  10. The solution here is obvious then. You just need to play in solo or private mode. That way you can play as fast or as slow as you want. Since you're obviously better than everyone else in the game I think solo mode is for you so you won't be hampered by how slow everyone else is.

    Every time someone says this, the easy and obvious counter is, "Why don't turtles play solo for the same reasons?" It's a stupid and lazy idea every time it gets presented.

     

    What the thread starter is asking for is BALANCE, rushers were nerfed and mechanics designed to counter them ruining the game for others, so now it's fair that this goes into effect for turtles as well.

  11. Yes, because your end of mission rewards are more important than everyone elses, also they miss out on ALL resource drops.

    This is incorrect and your bias becomes apparent through your assumptions. It is perfectly feasible to clear through to the objective and to the EZ while still getting the majority of the resources from mobs and chests on the way. Spending 15 minutes or more going into ever dead end and checking every single locker for that 1% chance of a resource drop is not efficient or fair to the people who are already done with the mission but are forced to wait.

    Turtle players were not getting end of mission rewards because of rushers. Rushers are not missing out on mission rewards because of turtles. I don't see what is so hard to understand about this.

    They are missing out on time. Time is a more valuable commodity than credits. The non-turtles are losing time waiting on turtles. I don't see what is so hard to understand about this.

    That's what DE has already been talking about.

    How are you still struggling with this? Turtle-players cried and got things put in the game that hurt rushers/people who aren't turtles. It's only fair and balanced that things be put into the game that prevent turtle-players from ruining it for others as well, which is what Ystella has been saying this whole time.

  14. Because, I have 4 things potatoed: ash, volt, trinity and a paris. not the best solo gear and when I play the higher level stuff I need the better mods that drop there to progress. That is why I can not solo, because I don't have the gear.

    .....what. I just....you think people can only push shift to sprint if they have, what, catalysts in every weapon they're holding? If you have tater'd frames then you can EASILY solo unless you're some TF2-tier player. Even without gear you can solo if you pay attention to what you're doing. That's such a horrible excuse I just can't even tell you.

    If you are in a position of leadership or knowledge in a clan that is willing to give research blueprints to players without a clan, feel free to offer your services to others. If you are not in a position of such power, do not offer these things. Especially not for a clan you are not a part of. Poor show, lads.

  16. Hey guys, for all the small (5-20) clans trying to build their dojos, and being upset at their slow progress, I have words of wisdom for you.

     

    Relax!

     

    Currently there's no benefit to building out your dojo. Clan weapons are all terrible reskins, have horrible stats, ridiculous build prices, or are simply broken placeholders; PvP dueling has been stated by DE as having known imbalances/exploits that they don't intend to correct; and building rooms costs forma which you will more than likely need to spend real money on.

     

    So don't worry about it, smaller clans! There's nothing currently at the end of that path that's worth the journey. Enjoy the game and simply put it out of mind.
