[The Space Shanty Contest [Winners Announced]!]

Bit of background: This is sort of written from the perspective of my operator character. When I finally get around to finishing my Railjack I'm going to name it "Single Ray" 
Went with a book-ending chorus cause it felt right. The references in the final verse are more specific to my character and their clan whose mission statement is to use what the Orokin left behind to make life better for the people of the origin system. 

Ballad of the Single Ray

Upon the rails we trim our sails for fortune do we strive
For the sake of those we love we keep our dreams alive
Our fight is not for glory we seek merely to survive,
A single ray of hope is all it takes for us to thrive.

The shattered face of lua,
T'was our cradle and our cage,
From its halls the blood we spilled,
The setting of the stage,
Now free we are to roam the stars,
And and our fight will take it's toll,
We yearn to win the war within, 
and once again be whole.

We who dared apostasy,
Now seek a faith more kind,
Our sacrifice unmeasured,
Weaving twixt the frame and mind,
Now hunt we the Chimera,
With a new war on the way,
We'll face the fight with honor,
See the dawn of a new day.

The void is wind within our sails,
The countless stars our sea,
Within the belt our hand is dealt,
What will our fortunes be?
We'll take and twist the old world 
In the service of the new,
Though the empire may be gone,
They still must pay their due.

Here we go. After I made this I saw a few similar ideas, but I feel like my pun game was on point enough to make me stand out. Also, have some lyrical snippets from my imaginary songs.

~A Fissure opened up between us like some sort of schism.
Now both our hearts are broken like Light through a Prism.~

~I can't stop laughing why don't you see the hilarity?
This relationship was as distant as the stars above.
There's no Forma that can wipe away this polarity.
You were just a fool to believe in this Mirage Called Love.~

~I used to fly among the stars beside you and it shows,
As every day the rift between us grows.~
