    I've been back playing for about a month and I have had ZERO issues until the big update with Whispers. It keeps crashing my display drivers. Having no other issues with the system or games crashing...rock solid until now. Other then the crashing the game runs fantastic with display settings maxed out.

  2. Finished my solo grind of this boss on a Rhino and I came away with several things. Sprint shouldn't be turned off ever! The other is the cut scenes when you transition to the platform after doing the head ram. You can't move for 2 seconds while the boss and adds are attacking you. Coming out of that scene many times with the red lasers on me and died. I'm sure I could rethink my setup but not being able to move or respond only to die instantly is messed up. No skill there. I ended up grinding most of the day for one piece (systems), so I can only conclude that the wiki drop percentages are way off. The wiki says the overall blueprint has a 3% less chance to drop then the components and I ended up with more overall then everything else. I also notice when you are behind the capacitor you'll have issues transitioning in and out of your warframe. If you fall off you have a 30% chance of getting instantly smoked by the red lasers depending on where you end up back on the platform. I do like the fight you just need to be able to respond to things with forethought and skill. I guess it could have been worse; glad that grind is over!!

  3. When you transition between scenes after you ram his head into the capacitor, I have to turn sprint back on. Whats the point of having set to toggle if I constantly have to turn it back on. Don't know if that's an oversight or intentional. Plus if you fall off, it will put you in front of those lasers and you die in like .5 seconds. Gotta do the Dory and keep on swimming, keep on swimming or zap you be dead QUICK! LOL! Maybe I gotta Limbo Jimbo!

    Oh and on another note is there any way to turn her voice over and image off? Blocks the view when you are trying to jump around to get to the fight. How many times do you really need to hear her story?Get out of my grill girl!

    Also the drop rate seems off. The wiki says: 22.56% for the over all and 25.81% for the components. I have 5 overall and 4 chasis and 4 neuroptics and no system. Seems skewed. My dice just keep giving me snake eyes. The wiki does say 30 ties (roughly) give or take 8. I'll keep at it. On the up side I do have all the Amalgam mods.

    Other then that I like the fight mechanics and the new Jupiter look. I had to do it solo because every time I got in a public group no one seems to know the fight. Youtube kiddies! Tactical Potato has a good video on the fight.

  4. I'm really starting to wonder about DE at this point. First the melee 3.0 (I know off topic but HATE IT!! All they did was take control, customization, and precision away from us) and now this interface that is a serious step backwards. Is it just me or now you have less time to choose your relic reward at the end of the mission? First time I saw it it totally blindsided me and no clue as to the reward I chose; was too busy trying to figure out what I was looking at. Old style took you .5 seconds at a glance and you knew what your choice was. Pretty is nice but function should be priority. Who really cares how it looks. I love that DE is constantly putting new content in the game but some of the arbitrary changes they've made recently I just can't rap my head around. Change for the sake of change is just ridiculous! I said it in another post that DE needs to fix bugs and give us some new content. Not another open world. I'd like to slap the guy who put mining and fishing in the game. I'll go play WoW or Rift if I want to do that shat and I don't play those games any more; go figure. I WANT TO SHOOT SHAT!!! I have these resources building up and love to put them to new stuff but with Fortuna I have to grind new resources. I really don't want to grind more resources for 3 new frames and some more weapons when I got Polymer Bundles coming out my azz. I was going to buy for the very first time the  frames and weapons with plat but then melee 3.0 came and I put the brakes on that real fast. So DE you lost a sale right there. I have completely boycotted Venus open world. The plains were a little better but not much. Just my honest opinion, I know not everyone feels the same way.

    Instead of frustrating us with these wacked changes how about opening a wormhole to Alpha Centauri where the 4 main factions have gone thousands of years ago and now are more corrupt and twisted. We ride the Railjack into the wormhole and fight as a team to get to the other side. New tile sets and new AI to fight. That is what is going to make me throw more money at DE not this crap! I could go on and on. I got idea's for tons of stuff that I'm sure will be a hit. You guys (DE) really need some perspective!!! Like from a hardcore gamer with an unlimited imagination!

    On another note how about some better support staff. I put in a ticket last year twice for not getting any email alerts (made sure they weren't filtered or blocked in any way. Told them as much). Instead of fixing it they sent me to the change email page. EPIC FAIL!! Funny thing was support staff from what ever company they use (and yes I'm 99% sure its not DE) were able to get the emails to me. Having a 25 year IT support background just makes it just that more frustrating for me. GRRRR!

    I'm just one pissed off Sikle! DE is probably reading my posts and thinking I have anger issue. Maybe. But been here for 6 years and I love Warframe. I've played HUNDERDS of PC games going all the way back to 1993 (and further. Anyone play pong in the 1970s. I did.) “Wolfenstein 3D” on a crusty 286 and I think Warframe is the best one I've ever played. (tear runs down eye)  

    Sorry for the rant. Hoped being a founder I would have some pull but seems like anything I say has fallen on def ears. I'm getting closer and closer to uninstalling the game and moving on to something else.

    The prisma landing craft skins seem to be stuck with the basic energy color regardless of engine colors, and the vitala armor set's wisps are the basic color regardless of emissives changes.

    So far this is all I've found but I'll keep looking

  6. Started playing Valkyr and realized right away that the new melee has messed that up too. Hit my 4th ability to open that can of woopass and hit fire and my main weapon comes out. Go to block (instinctively) and weapon comes out. Go to aim glide by blocking and main weapon comes out. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  I've griped and griped about this but all you did DE is take control out of the advanced players. You didn't give us anything except frustration at an arbitrary change. Please give us 2.0 back. It really sucks to have to constantly change "Melee with fire weapon input" on and off depending how I want to play. The ground slam, insta-combo out of the gate and auto block takes control out of your hands like it was before. Ground slam actually had some skill involved now I don't even have to jump in the air just point at the ground. I used to feel really good when pulling off moves before. Now I just want to smash my keyboard into pieces every time it happens. Fire the buffoon that came up with this idea. Was clearly not thought through!

    I used to have quick melee set to G key. I had melee attack set to LMB and G (so no mater what I hit it was instinctive and I could hammer two keys to melee). Blocking and aim was set to space bar (I could always aim glide no matter the weapon used). It worked AWESOME! I was the master of my universe. Now some fat bastard stole my mojo. Please DE can I have my mojo back?

    They did a role back of the archwing debacle. Here's a fix, how about keeping my archwing from rolling when I'm on the plains or Venus. I hate it when I'm flying around and I have to constantly correct my attitude to flat flight. Doesn't even make sense why they did that.

  7. Sometimes I can put a drone a planet and sometimes I can't. Never had that issue until Nightwave came. Frustrating when you want a particular resource and you can't place a drone on the planet. How about they get rid of that totally messed up melee idea and fix the bugs instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Hindsight is a *@##$ sometimes. This change comes down for me to the old saying: “You don't know what you got until it is gone.” I just took it for granite. And I took for granite and assumed that DE knew that the 2.0 setup was great. I know you can't please all the people all of the time. The debate will rage on on both sides of the fence. I feel there will be casualties if DE moves ahead with this arbitrary change and I might be one of them. Breaks my heart to think about it.

  9. At first I thought I liked the new melee slam mechanics, but now I don't. Before you had to look strait down to pull off a slam. Which made it very useful when you would be bullet jumping and if you over shot where you were going you could look strait down and hit where you wanted to be. It was very precise and took skill. Now if your mouse is at an angle to the ground it will make you land several meters from where you wanted to be. Making it feel more like you don't have any control. Funny as this sounds but before it was better because if you didn't pull off the melee slam strait down, you didn't deserve to. The game had this special thing before. Warframe doesn't take a lot of skill to play. You can have so much fun with your friends and suck ass at it. But, if you wanted to take it to the next level,  especially the movement system, melee attacks, and master the speed of the game it made you feel good about your self because you knew you had achieved something. It elevated the fun! That my friends is special! Lightning in a bottle! That's rare! Include all the other complexities and nuances of the game and you got something you just don't see every day in interactive entertainment. It is like living in side an action movie and who doesn't want to be a hero. I think change is good but not always. People have referred to it as “dumbing the game down” and on some strange level my intelligence has been insulted by this change. I guess I'm just that crazed fan who just wants my idol to never grow old. Why mess with perfection. I hope I'm not alone in this fight to revert to the old system or at least have an option for it.

    Just yesterday I go to do the sortie. One of the missions was melee only. I have “Melee with weapon fire input” off because right now that's the closest I can get to how the melee worked for me before. So when I get into the mission and hit my LMB, nothing happens. So I was forced to go and find a safe place to hide for a couple of seconds to go into options to change that back on. And then when I got into the next mission I was like “Oh yea gotta turn this thing off again”.

    In all my years of gaming I have never felt this way about a game. The simple reason is I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I love it, plain and simple. Of the hundreds of games I have played I've never felt this way. I mean this is my desert island game. It's not the end of my world as I know it; not at all. It's sadly to say possibly the end of my years playing this game. I don't want that and I'm pretty sure DE doesn't want that either. And I don't want to sound like “DE change it back or else” not at all!! I keep telling myself there is going to be some big reveal that is going to make all this make sense but my guts tell me that isn't going to be the case.

    Remember the Archwing changes?

    I'll get a text from my bro “GTF!” (Game time foo!) and before I would get excited because it was time to have some serious fun. Now, not so much.

It's perhaps a cautionary tale too, one that many developers before DE learned, and many after are like to repeat, that sometimes great content is not so great when divided into parts. There's something known as "irreducible complexity" or you may know it by the phrase "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" a paraphrase from a quote of Aristotle. It means that perhaps Melee 3.0 is going to be AMAZING... once you finish implementing ALL of it. But what has been implemented thus far has broken a lot of things that we were enjoying, and many have said is a step backward. Hopefully the rest of this change gets implemented in a timely manner, and I hope it's as wonderful as the hype you generated for it. Disappointment hurts your bottom line, and that hurts future content.

    WOW! Well said! I feel like an idiot with my posts after reading this. See DE you have some AMAZING people playing this game. I'm still hanging in there to see how it all plays out.

  12. The new patch addresses half an issue for me and that is the reloading, I'm constantly reloading my weapon empty or not; it's just habit after playing so many FPS games. Now when the gun is empty it takes me back to the gun when I have my melee out. Which is great except when the gun is full. When it's full it does not switch back to the gun. Any chance you could change that DE?

    Other then that still not happy. Still don't have manual blocking or quick melee and the melee still comes out and stays when I don't want it to. I'm finding “Melee with weapon fire input” off or on isn't really a solution to anything. When it is off I go back to my gun when I hit LMB (which is more like quick melee) and having it on only makes sense when I want to go full time melee. So I'm forced to open options to change that if I decide in the middle of the mission to go full melee.😢

Final Fantasy 14 limited their patches and expansions to cater towards PS3 players when PC and PS4 was vastly out pacing the hardware of PS3, which caused so much content to become stale and boring. If you're going to do a game across multiple platforms, be prepared to have to adjust the controls for such, or else you're going to either cater towards the the platform with either lesser capability at the cost of losing the players of the more capable platform, or cater to the more capable at the cost of the lesser. PC is constantly out pacing other systems just by its customizable systems and pretty much unmatched controls. You can look for any console system in history, and it's not going to match the ability to use an entire QWERY keyboard along with the thousands of other devices like Razer Nostromos and foot pedals that can be put to use across multiple games with customizable key inputs. DE is going to have to face it, they'll either have to accept the diverse and wide gap between console and PC, or essentially break parts of their game to make it uniform.

    Right there with you Sikelh! I have a total customized control set up and this new change has destroyed my style of playing. All the muscle memory of playing has gone right out the window. I use space bar for aim and block. Now I get a gun when I want to block. I want to quick melee and then reload my gun; can't because my melee is out and not my gun. I have played around with new customization's to try and find where DE is going with this and try and get some synergy but I can't. Melee with weapon fire input on or off, doesn't matter. I now this is the start of this change but all they did was take control away from the more advanced players. Auto-blocking, really?!!!

    I'm so frustrated right now I could punch a baby right into London Ontario!

    DE if you read this look out the window and just imagine seeing this Popsikle out there with a protest sign. How about fix bugs and work on new content. What a waist of man power!

    I'm trying to come up with constructive feedback for the melee changes.  For myself, I honestly don't feel any of this was needed, desired, or beneficial.  I think instant swapping of weapons in any form is a move in the wrong direction for combat.  In it's own way, it signifies that planning, strategy, and tactics aren't as important to fighting as button mashing.  You might as well add in instant reloading and remove the need to have ammo.  It's a dummy down of an enjoyably complex battle system.  The cost of running dry in the open and needing to swap to another weapon while surrounded by opposition added depth, realism, and challenge.  Now it's insta-swap. 

    Melee combat feels dull and lifeless.  My former style would involve well timed channeling bursts to increase the damage right as I was about to impact on a target.  Channelled bursts during combos were a signature for me.  It defined not only my playstyle, but was key to my success and ability to remove targets quickly, silently, efficiently.  It made me feel like a master of stealth and assassination.  Now to be even close to my previous level I need to change keybinds to allow myself to snipe my opponents and still be effective when things go upfront and personal.  There really isn't a smooth way to achieve this.

    Here's my 2 cents on the upgrade: 
    It stopped me from having fun when I play. 
    I log in each day to read the patch notes. 
    I'll see it through, I'll witness the end result.  But I know how this ends. 
     

    Totally agree with every word!! Right there with you. Now I log in to get my reward, queue another forma and see if a friend is on. If he isn't on I log and go do something else.
    My guts tell me I know how this is going to end too, with more hard drive space for another game.
