    I think this would be a good opportunity to combine these two things.

    I guess my suggestions is simply:

    • Make the Kuva Lich system into the “hard mode” / “very hard mode” system 
    • Get rid of the foothold mechanic
    • If you have a Kuva Lich stalking you, then “hard mode”:
      • Kuva Thralls spawn on all “hard mode” / “very hard mode” Grineer missions
      • Kuva Lich basically replaces Stalker / Grustrag / Vor / Syndicate / Zenuka spawns (did I miss one?)
      • Kuva Lich steals your stuff
      • Better mission rewards, as Scott mentioned in the Devstream
    • If you don’t have a Kuva Lich stalking you, then “hard mode”:
      • You get those annoying spawns that I’ve already farmed to death (but you might still want them!) 
      • Better mission rewards, as Scott mentioned in the Devstream

    For me I think this solves the “problem” that I see that Kuva Liches is another content island when I think it would work better if it was just a end-game version of the Stalker mechanic while I do other star chart content.

  2. New systems sounds great.  When getting new players into the game it has been particularly difficult for me to explain the Fusion system.  On the last new player I coached I just said, "you will figure it out."

    Not sure I like the name 'endo'.  

    "Hey let's goto Hieracon, I'm running low on Endo."

Yup, now I'm getting the synthesis target Arid Lancers to spawn, however I've scanned 4 of them now and I'm not making any progress in the quest.  I'm guessing that they want you to scan actual synthesis targets and that you need to run the mission 3 times (since there is only one synthesis target per mission) but I tried both:

    - Running the mission once and scanning 4 of the non-synthesis-target Arid Lancers (just the regular ones that are everywhere).  I did this on my first attempt because I forgot to set my matchmaking to Solo and somebody else got the synthesis target.  Therefore I figured I would just give this a try to see if that completed the quest.

    - Running the mission 4 times and scanning the Arid Lancer Synthesis Target.  This was done over 4 solo runs.

    Good point.  I'm already finding a lot of wasteland as I open the map up.

I feel this is something that needs to be addressed.  Not everyone plays 12-hours a day and can wait for it to move to Mars.  Yesterday It was at Mars for a few hours, but it was in the Void for 10+ hours.  If you only got to play the game Sunday mornings you would be stuck on Mars as right now it is in the Void.

I think it would be good if the Void is where you farm the Relics.  That would make the Void more significant towards the progress of getting Prime parts.  Not to mention it just makes sense that you would find Void Relics in the Void.  When I was first trying to figure the system out, this is how I thought it worked until a clan-mate said, "no you just get relics the same way you got keys, they didn't change that part."

    Idea:  Relic(key)-grind in the void and Relic/Fissure the way it is now.

    • Lith Relics are rewards off the Phobos Arm: 1 Survival, 1 Excavation, and 1 Defense Mission
    • Meso Relics are rewards off the Europa Arm: 1 Survival, 1 Excavation, and 1 Defense Mission 
    • Neo Relics are rewards off the Neptune Arm: 1 Survival, 1 Excavation, and 1 Defense Mission 
    • Axi Relics are rewards off the Sedna Arm: 1 Survival, 1 Excavation, 1 Defense Mission, and Sabatage Mission

     

  7. Is this level 10-20 fissure spawning here working as intended?  As a new player I need to unlock Mars > Phobos > Ceres > Jupiter > Saturn > Uranus > Neptune to get to Oxomoco, to use my Lith relics.  When Lith was spawning on Mars it was great, but it has literally been only at Oxomoco for the last 8-hours.

  8. So how are people beating it?  I've only been playing a week so I don't have anything that can kill and I've smashed every box and opened every chest looking for air, and of course I don't waste any by picking any that will take me over 100%.  I'm on my 5th attempt and I'm always 5-10 seconds short.

First off, I do like the new star map.  I like how it is much easier for us new players to progress in the game.  I've got a few friends I've introduced to the game who don't read forums, don't watch streams, and don't read wikis.  Now I can just tell them, "your goal is to unlock the Junctions."

    However, these are changes I think would make the map better:

    • The text size is just way to small and difficult to read.
    • It would be great if in addition to the sector name, you could see a little more detail about the sector.  As a new player I'm mousing over every single node looking for the right one I want to play.  Example:
      • Elara (15-20)
      • Survival
    • When you zoom out it would be great to see the links from planet to planet with an approximation of the levels.
    • From the zoom out view it would be great if I could manage my extractors from that view rather than going to each planet looking for where I last dropped off my extractors.
    • WASD to Pan the map.  I don't know why but it just feels more intuitive than using the mouse to pan.
    • A "legend".  Took some experimentation to figure out that:
      • Black Diamond = Locked
      • White Diamond = Unlocked
      • Blue Diamond = Newly unlocked
      • I think it took me so long to figure this out since I've only been playing a week or so and have been taxied all over the system so I've been able to bypass some of the Junctions (also super happy I raced to The Second Dream before this update).

    I can confirm this.  I solo'd one on Mars just now and it counted towards the 3.  What is not awesome is that it came down to the last 10-seconds since they don't spawn fast enough when you are solo.  I spend 80% of the time waiting for stuff to one-shot.

I just did The Sargent on Illad for the Ceres Junction and that did not register either.  This sucks, I'm stuck not being able to make it to alerts and fissures because I don't have everything unlocked.  I've only been playing the game for a week so I don't have every sector unlocked like the vast majority of the player base.

BTW @Moppin44, I did 6 runs, 3 solo, 3 PUG, to see if this is a UI problem (not displaying the number of missions completed) and still nothing, obviously I closed them myself on solo runs so it's probably not that. When it registered for you, were you in a PUG/solo/premade? Maybe everybody has to use a relic for it to actually count? Those PUGs I did, I don't think even one had a 4 relic squad. Hmmm, worth testing.

    I was in a PUG when it registered.  I've done a few more and I'm still at 1/3.  Would be nice if the Invasion spawned sometime today as well.
