Orite let me ask you one question. If you are a Trinity main and she gets nerfed would you think its crossing the line? Cause lets be honest she is pretty busted and with shield gating coming soon she is gonna be even more broken.

It would cross the line for me if I had invested a lot of resources into her and post-nerf Trinity wouldn't even perform reasonably well.
But there is a lot of space between "busted" and "unusable". I'll leave it to DE to explore that space.
Using Brozimes metric a nerf from S to A should be fine but from S straight to C or D would cross it if I had any investment in Trinity. (Which I don't.)

  2. I am not against nerfs in particular.
For me it would cross a line when I have invested, let's say one or two Umbral Formas, in a particular Warframe and then they decide to nerf it for some unjustifiable reason to the point were this Warframe is not usable.
I would feel like I need to be compensated in some form because the investment was quite steep and is not reusable on other gear.

Slight nerfs or adjustments accompanied with buffs to underpowered gear for the sake of build diversity is on the other hand nothing anyone should worry about.

So, the question regarding how reasonable a nerf is would be determined, in my opinion, by the following points:

    1. Is the post-nerf gear (Warframe, weapon, arcane, ...) still usable?
    2. How expensive was the acquisition of the gear?
    3. How high are the sunk costs? (Forma, anything else actually?)
    4. How much other gear is made usable by the nerf?
(You can look at the self damage removal for this: Sure, Chroma can't damage himself anymore, but that's kind of a minor issue and the benefit should outweigh it by making a whole class of weapons more viable in the best case.)
    5. Assuming that the gear is "busted", is it accompanied by high usage?
(DE justified the Catchmoon nerf by pointing out that everybody and their mom used it. I would bet the Catchmoon wouldn't have been nerfed if it was a niche weapon.)

Anyone can ask themselves those questions and under certain circumstances, outrage is maybe justified. But I feel that it isn't for the most part.

Furthermore, a lot of the "complain threads" are obsolete if people would listen and read more carefully.
(E.g. the misinformation in some threads regarding """arcane nerfs""".)

  3. I agree that NW needs a lot more maintenance than the old alert system. Sure, the rewards of NW are better overall but did DE really think they could just do 5 seasons each 10 weeks a year? I don't think intermissions were planned. I would bet they realized halfway through that NW is high maintenance.

Can Warframe 'veterans' stop trying to gatekeep pointless things in a video game from others?? Like, I'm sure you have something more important in your life you can focus on rather than this.

I suppose that is one of the eternal problems in Warframe:

    1. Thing is unreasonably hard to acquire (Primed Chamber, good Railjack Reactors, Ephemeras, etc.).

    2. People complain.

    3. Thing is now easier to acquire.

    4. Other people complain.

Maybe I'm not being thoughtful enough, but I really don't care if icons or stats are overwhelming to new players. It's something that we have all had to learn to deal with at one point or another, and over time they've become vital to how I play the game.

Quickly seeing the information that I desire at a glance is just so much more convenient than having to scroll over tabs or click on sub menus. It's tedium just for the sake of making things look pretty. At least give us a toggle or something so players that want the detailed stats front and center can use them.

I agree with that. And the complexity also motivates me and makes the game look more interesting because I can see that there is a lot to learn about it.

  6. DE really needs to stop putting those grindstones into the game in the first place.

The grind itself annoyed players and now the reversal also annoyes players.

Honestly, did noone at DE think that putting a cosmetic in a rare container on a tileset that spawns only every so often was a good idea before release?

I think that if you asked players you would get told by 9 out of 10 that this is a bad idea.

  7. I don't want to sound too cynical or something, but have fun with that 1:13 (1:14, 1:15, etc...) drop chance for the new weapon.

The Kuva Lich System as of today scales horribly with the addition of new weapons.

Corpus Liches on the other hand might me more fun...

Edit: That's not to say that I wouldn't welcome the addition of new weapons, but the means of acquiring those weapons would have to change.

Or DE could just stop with this limited space-crap completely.

Seriously, this isn't some korean MMORPG, stop with the limited inventory space.

I remember DE saying that they ran into database issues when increasing the capacity limit for Riven mods from 90 to 120.

I would suspect that there is a similar technical reason for the wreckage capacity limit.

Because otherwise I agree: There is no good gameplay related reason for this.

  9. For me the question would be: "Why bother?"

For MR? Sure, if you want to have big Warframe pp.

For the rank 9 and 10 perks themselves? I mean, you can play RJ without them and by the time you unlock all of them there is probably not much else to do in RJ.

Outside of that I don't see the point. I would stop at Rank 8 for the Archwing buffs.

We get a raw version update a little better than Pre-Alpha, and PC players are assigned as guinea pigs.

Those are the points I can identify with most.

I think the underlying problem for a lot of this is what I believe TotalBiscuit once said: "Warframe is a castle built upon the ruins of a castle that is built upon the ruins of a castle that is built upon the ruins of a castle".

Warframe is not well-ordered. A lot of things are band aids and have "grown historically".
That's why I am a fan of Rahetalius' suggestion to make 2020 the "Year of fixing" i.e QOL changes.

If you can't bother to look up or ask about a detail for yourself, it hardly does anybody any good to rant about it.

The problem is probably not the lack of will to look it up but rather that there is no time to do so when the point of decision arrives.

That's like saying one should solve a problem before the problem is known.

Edit: Oh well, I am beating a dead horse by now by addressing this answer.

  12. I would dislike modular Warframes. I find a Warframe most enjoyable if there is lore connected to the Warframe. A Warframe is a "person" and they have a character.

A modular system for Warframes would convey the message "Here is a bunch of parts, build your own". While this works with weapons and other "tools" I think it kills of all meaning behind a Warframe. A Warframe comes, ideally, with a background story that makes them special. Modular is generic and meaningless.

  13. I think that attaching MR to any kind of "system" is creating an artificial relevance that it sometimes otherwise wouldn't have.

Why do I own all MOA companions? MR.
Why did I max out K-Drives? MR.
Why do I, while being in cosmic agony, collect all the Kuva weapons? MR.
(Kuva weapons do make sense though since they are weapons and not a space skate board.)

If it wasn't for MR I would only bother with the "systems" above to a very limited extend.

sorry that im not keeping silence when somebody trying to lie to community 😃

Point taken, I should've measured the time it took before the update and then repeated the exact same test after the update and asked you beforehand wether the difference in time is of a magnitude that would tolerate your perception of what "a little" is. Sue me for not living up to your expectation of what constitutes observation precise enough to be shared in a video game forum.

Anyway, it is a waste of time to talk with people who accuse you of lying when they have no proof of malicious intent.

  15. My experience so far (killing lvl 165 Corrupted Bombards in Simulacrum):

    1. Lesion (Condition Overload, 100% Status): Melts enemies, faster than before
    2. Paracesis (Sacrificial Build): Melts enemies, faster than before
    3. Atterax (Spin2Win Build): Takes a little longer than usual (But thats what everyone wanted right, the Spin2Win nerf /sarcasm)

Overall it feels really smooth so far, enjoying heavy attacks quite a bit.

  16. Hi,

I was doing an Axi Fissure on Nimus, Eris (Survival). I equipped a Relic (90% sure it was Axi A4) , joined a squad (public) and opened the Relic by collecting 10 Reactants.
At the five minute mark, the menu for me to select my reward did not show up. Instead, the countdown that leads to the reward menu appeared twice, each counting down from five to zero successively.

A few seconds after both countdowns finished I entered the Relic selection menu like I usually would.
I chose the same Relic again and opened it like the one before.
I was able to observe the same behavior as described above at the ten minute mark. After that, I decided to extract.
I did not receive any rewards from the Relics I opened.
One would expect to get the default choice, which is the reward from the Relic one opened themselves, when no choice is made.
Therefore it is probably not just a problem of the menu not being visible.
Nonetheless I was rewarded Void Traces for each of the opened Relics.

My loadout: Nekros Prime, Ignis Wraith, Atomos, Lesion, Helios Prime, Deconstructor Prime, Zenurik Focus School.

Thank you for reading, best regards!

Update: I did not experience this issue the day after while doing a Neo Fissure on Mot, Void.
