  1. So after taking a little break from Warframe I decided to rejoin the fight, partially for the event, partially for the upcoming updates, and partially for that sexy new Tennogen Frost gear.

    However after updating Warframe to the latest build the launcher seems to just straight up crash on me after everything is patched but before the play button is even displayed. I've tried the usual;

    • verifying the game cache pops up with a couple of "corrupted" files to which steam would roll back the launcher version to display Oberons deluxe armour, shortly before the launcher autoupdates and crashes again.
    • Reinstalling does not fix anything.
    • quickly disabling 64bit mode in the launcher options doesn't appear to fix any problems (Might just be crashing too quick to apply the change?) and the DirectX options are greyed out (I know in the past these are the toggles people suggested).
    • the standalone version runs just fine but hey, I'm partly here for them Tennogen skins.
    • Running the launcher exe directly starts an installation of the standalone version.

Is there some workaround I've missed or is this a global and known issue? Have I just pulled the short straw? I am running on Windows 10 and as far as I know Steam launch options doesn't support any compatibility modes (I may be wrong?)

    Any help is appreciated, Cheers!

  2. I don't know how you guys feel cheated considering you got exactly what you paid for. We are arguing about a cosmetic that does not effect the game in anyway. Does it make more sense to put the color with the armor? Yes, However DE probably wanted to give more incentive to buy the PA pack. And they are allowed to do that, and you are allowed to not buy it. To get this mad over colors just makes me sad to see.

And you think splitting the prime accessories into two individual packs both worth £33 is good value for your money? You're right, they tell us what we're getting, but we're overpaying grossly for something than in all essence should already be in the prime accessories pack

  3. What they should do is offer refunds to everyone who bought any of the packages, delete any items/plat they received from it and amend the pack. It has to be done on this scale because if the gene masking kit was merely moved to accesories or included in-game when crafting the collar those who bought the pack solely for the gene masking kit would complain to no end (and that would cause more unhappiness).

Sure it's sounds ludicrous and from a business perspective is a scary concept losing so much money but if it was fixed then everyone would rebuy what they bought before + more people would be willing to buy content.

It's logical and beneficial on both ends. Even if DE was money grabbing doing the above would lead to more people willing to purchase content which means more income and the players themselves get what they want/should deserve for their value and everyone's happy.

  4. Tenno Veterans is a clan for 10 members who have reached a considerably high completion of Warframe as it currently is. Skype/ts3 can be used for a group chat for planning, grouping up for missions and events, keysharing or generally just for a good chat. Essentially this is a social clan for endgame players.

The initial concept for the clan was to build the dojo from scratch, equally distributing the resource costs between the 10 players to give their excessive resource pools something to be spent on however due to lack of interest the dojo has been built up and researched completely however do not be disheartened as there is still work to be done. The Solar Rail, while undeployed, still needs an elaborate and extensive layout to be worked on alongside dojo colours and future research.

The clan will be closely managed as a social hub hence the small member capacity however Tenno Veterans will expand in time whilst promoting existing members to show their dedication and support. Again the idea is to give Endgame players a little more to do and to make it easier to make high-level missions groups and void runs. Whilst the social aspect is a main feature we may also expand as a war clan for Solar Rails IF the interest between members is there.

Tenno Veterans is currently in a temporary alliance however we are currently searching for a suitable active alliance to which we can be a valuable asset.

For more Information on membership requirements and the clan itself, please visit: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:733362

  5. Since Steam has opened up Steam Inventory items to third party games will we see more Steam exclusive skins in future similar to the jade and obsidian packages?

Also What happened to half of U16? The underwater tileset, the female corpus enemies, the J3 Golem revamp, the focus system and the tombs of the sentient?

  6. For more information, check the wikia page. If you wish to see the dojo first, message me in-game

    Entry Requirements:

    • Double digit Mastery
    • Excessive amounts of resources - 100,000+ Commons, 10,000+ Uncommons, 50+ Rares (These are guideline quantities).
    • Willingness to contribute resources if necessary. (One will not be expected to donate entirely though).
    • Skype/TS3 - group chats between the 10 players. Not necessary but a nice idea.
    • Must stay active - If you plan to leave or take a break, announce via the group chat.
    • Donation of at least 1mil credits to the vault - This does not have to be done straight away however if interest in the Solar Rail end-game is shown we will need the funding.
  7. (Apologies for the quality of the post. It was hard putting all my points together so I made it brief)

!This is mainly concerns around selective breeding of Kubrows!

As it is one can only make two Imprints per Kubrow. This is highly impractical for selective breeding as it allows little freedom when trading imprints and completely removes any possibility of fallback if the player decides to use their remaining imprint as one of the two "parent" imprints for the Kubrow. Raising the limit to three would add a little more freedom both for imprint trading (allows one to trade away for two imprints while keeping one for themselves) or as a fallback option for example if the next generation Kubrow turns out to be a failure and the one last parent imprint belonging to your first Kubrow was used.

-Plus it's risky enough that no one knows exactly what information is stored on the imprint until heavy testing concludes it, let alone which genes are more dominant than the others between the two imprints-

Other options would be to make imprints of infinite use, allowing that final parent imprint to stay in your inventory for use in later generation Kubrows where needed (and also allows the user to make a database collection from traded imprints) while more comfortably being able to trade away the other imprint or to Allow only two copies of a single select Kubrow in your inventory AT A TIME meaning when one is traded away a third imprint can be crafted.

Ideas on these suggestions? Criticism? Or workaround ideas of your own post them here.

*Disregard this if any of these options are actually a feature of the game, I haven't started selectively breeding yet because of aforementioned risks.

  8. I don't care how safe you feel Warframe will be, do you REALLY want DE to be ascociated in any way with PWE? They're infamous in the gaming community!

EDIT: for the couple of comments above this nothing is confirmed. all they said was the game will still be owned and overseen by DE, that doesn't mean DE won't still sell out to PWE

  9. Tenno Veterans is an upcoming clan for 10 members who have reached full, if not almost full, completion of Warframe as it currently is. Starting from scratch we will plan and build the Dojo, equally distributing the cheap resource costs from our own excessive resource pools. Skype/ts3 can be used for a group chat for planning, grouping up for missions and events, or generally just for a good chat.

When the Dojo has been successfully built and all research items have been completed we may open up to a Shadow clan, letting in other end-game players at the same stage as the initial 10 to assist in researching, building and deploying the Solar Rail, where the initial 10 will be promoted to Generals to commemorate their hard work to the clan.

  10. Have you ever considered revising the Excalibur Prime and Frost Prime to add more gold to their bodies as there is next to none, especially compared to Mag Prime and Ember Prime?

(Rhino Prime also has little gold on his body but he has golden Iron Skin so mehh)

  11. Just a little addition/change you should make, rifle amp is the default aura mod for all weaponry in the lists and while it correctly doesn't change the stats for pistol/shotguns/etc having pistol amp and the other, correct auras would be pretty useful

  12. 1:

Issue Name: Indefinite Mastery Challenge Warning

      Steps To Replicate:

1: Unequip any one weapon type so ones loadout currently consists of 2 or less weapons.

2: Click on the top left Profile button

Expected Results: Assuming one has not maxed out their current Mastery rank they will be brought to their Profile page.

Actual Results: Regardless of Mastery progression one will be warned that all three weapon types must be equipped before starting a Mastery Test.

      Frequency: 100%

      Priority Level: Low

    2:

Issue Name: "Game-Breaking" Sentinel Weapon Bug

      Steps To Replicate:

1: Unequip any one weapon type so ones loadout currently consists of 2 or less weapons.

2: Go into Arsenal and Select Upgrade for the Sentinel's weapon

Expected Results: One will be able to apply mods to the Sentinel weapon normally.

Actual Results: The sentinel weapon mod screen does not appear, and all menu buttons but logout lose proper function. the Esc key is also not functional. Apart from re-logging the only way to fix this issue manually is to enter and leave/finish a game.

      Frequency: 100%

      Priority Level: Medium-High

  13. won't this end up with newer players being pitted with tougher bosses, especially when the higher ranked tenno decides to leech that mission?

As mentioned before, due to the calculation for boss level/skill it will take the average of all players in the current mission. Theoretically if the spread is too far (mastery 1, completely new player with a mastery 15, super ultimate build) the boss should be not too hard for the new player but not too easy for the endgame player. and if the spread is not as far then There's not so much of a problem. I'm not saying this suggestion is completely flawless but I can imagine no matter the situation it would be a vast improvement.

  14. So as we all know bosses levels are currently fixed to a certain level or range of levels based around what planet they are on and the level range that comes with it. The system is flawed. Sure it's more or less correct to whatever level and skill of Tenno who are are that part of progression at the moment but it just scales badly; Some players may feel they're too weak to attack bosses yet or, the more common problem, far higher skilled Tenno come back to planets to farm for either Warframe parts or new drops (i.e Seer from vor or Stalking Fan from Ruk).

A slightly better solution comes with Assassins (Stalker, G3, Harvester) who detect the average level of their targets equipment or the average level of the team (I can't remember which one) and match that level. This way the skill and threat of the Assassins scale a little better however there is a big difference between an unmodded level 30 weapon and a forma'd and modded level 30 weapon and thus even the Stalker can still be pretty easy.

The solution? It's been with us for quite a while: Conclave.

Conclave takes not only equipment levels into account but also gives the game an idea on how modded the equipment is. The more quantity or upgraded the mods on a collection of weapons are, the higher Conclave we get. It's initial purpose is to give players an idea on how well each other's loadouts are so nothing really needs to be modified and while its not entirely accurate for how good a loadout really is, the rough idea is far more accurate than the above mentioned current observations by the game for bosses and assassins.

So all that really needs to be done to calculate the level/skill of the enemy is something like (don't hold me to it, i'm not thinking too deeply into the math of this): (all players Conclave added together divided by number of players) divided by a set number or a range of numbers based on another couple of variables.

Since the base of the math is the average by mean of all players currently in the mission it will scale fairly if a high level Tenno is paired with a low level Tenno and if all players have endgame loadouts all bosses will still be an interesting challenge, even moreso now bosses are being revamped for actual stage-based fighting as opposed to 'enemy with significantly higher health'. Applied to Bosses and Assassins this could keep players fearing those random whispers of the Stalker and continue to appreciate the boss fights of those such as vor (who bassically only delays his still-quick demise)

Think about it. It would really improve gameplay for both low levels and high levels and could even make for additional endgame content if people had not farmed for Waframes or weapons before hand.

TL;DR Version: Use Conclave to determine the skill and level of bosses and assassins, it's a far more accurate system that can hold a lot of benefits and even remove some drawbacks with very little drawbacks of its own.

  15. When the Grineer ship defense map was released there was a bug where enemies were spawning incorrectly. this left players waiting for many minutes for enemies to appear mid-wave which was pretty annoying. It seems the same bug has appeared in the Grineer shipyard defense map too. Getting to wave 5 is more of a waiting game especially during wave 3 and 4 as parts of the wave take quite a while to spawn, making it an ineffective way to farm prosecutors (although also the most efficient way as they always spawn every 5 waves).

Also, when prosecutors appear the subtitles from the Lotus' warnings are that of the Tethra's Doom event

  16. I'm loving the new scarves feature, it's nice to have simple aesthetics to keep us unique between each players but since these are (I assume) animated via jigglebones problems occur.

Firsly I have the Asa Syandana and I love it but I feel it should be wider, it just seems a little thin especially since when moving scarves tend to stretch out a bit.

The next two suggestions are about all scarves in general, obviously they bounce around quite alot, to reduce this I would suggest removing the collisions between scarves and weapons (but not scarves and warframes of course). It happens a lot with me but I saw a video on youtube about someone with the Uru Syandana and it bounced quite alot against his Dagger Axe Dual Zorens. This suggestion means scarves would fall through weapons on the players back but I think this is a forgivable sacrafice.

Secondly I think there should be some boundary boxes for the scarves. I myself am a little against this as it will prevent movement after a certain distance so it doesn't look as natural but then we know the scarves wouldn't be flying over the warframes head everytime he/she stops or turns around.

Hell if you're up to it you could even implement APEX Cloth for PhysX users :L

These are just some suggestions which I think will improve the Syandana's, they may or may not work but I think it should make an improvement.

  17. ==SPECULATION==

J3-Golem is now a massive proper boss and something with that strength and size shouldn't be level 20

New Corpus gas planet tileset = new planet?

Gas planet tileset should then apply to Jupiter (makes sense) therefore moving the infested w/ Golem to this new planet

New planet has higher level range, giving Golem the level he now deserves while the new Corpus has all the old Jupiter level 20 range.

This means Volt is still obtainable relatively easily and early in Jupiter with Corpus as he should be whilst moving Golem and therefore Necro to end-game which, again, is what it should be.
