  1. Mirage is one of my favorite warframes, although she doesn't need to be reworked, few content and changes would be much appreciated if made.
Here is a few written on a paper:

    Hall of Mirrors

    • Hall of Mirrors is now a Toggle ability (arguably)
    • Doppelgangers damage output rescaled from 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% to 10%/ 15%/ 20%/ 25% (arguably)

    Sleight Of Hand

    • Rampart guns are jammed while the effect is active or Rampart fires short range confetti instead of bullets (essential)
    • Arid Blunt upon destruction damages and blinds nearby enemies (not affected by range mod) (essential)
    • Explosion damage rescaled from 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 to 75 / 100/ 175/ 220 (arguably)
    • Now affects Interception communication devices (arguably)

    Eclipse

    • No rework needed

    Prism:

    • Damage done in a whole AoE instead of laser projectiles (arguably)
    • Casting speed is slower (arguably)
  2. It seems one of the most crucial information regarding your character are missing from the modding screen. I highly recommend a display that indicates the energy usage for every warframe skill, depends your Efficiency. It's odd that they missed that, and it's even more strange that they still haven't added such thing. Is there a reason actually?

Stop being a Tonkor nublet and use a weapon you can actually aim with? Odds are you just couldn't apply damage to the Bursa weakspots with your AOEs.

I don't know where the auto-hit location is for explosives and Bursa units specifically, but I find it hilarious every time something with specific damage locations show up and the YOLO crowd who just use the Tonkor and SySim have to come off their lofty perches and let those of us that use more reasonable, earthly weapon options show them how it's done.

Being the only one who could damage a Juggernaut the other day with my sniper because everyone else brought a Tonka toy to the affray was a blast. Worth the price of admission.

People here are very sensitive, so I highly suggest making typical statements instead of bashing someone. I got one major fraction that never expires and my posts are always pending by a moderator for approval.

  4. I have ran into a problem and I need someone who had the similar issue to help me. To save me some time and avoid automated emails to my mail inbox I decided not to contact Warframe support because they're busy counting the money that they made last mondayNevermind.

For some odd reason when I login into my ingame client and type credentials, as soon I hit enter my router resets and I lose internet connection. What I tried is optimizing the Download cache, and Verifying it. It didn't seems to help much, maybe it's a problem with Firewall or Port Forwarding?

  5. Why does everyone hate draco yet its one of the most played missions in the game. What is it? Should i use it for leveling?

I never hated it, alternatively it saves me time and effort.

If it's a cheapskate I'd definitely take it because there is no point to level up slowly if you can do it very fast.

  6. Okay So I decided to make a stronger research after making a little rant about update 18... It didn't go well and there are few misunderstandings. With a fresh mind and collecting the pieces from the beggining of the lore, It's either Digital Extremes left a lot of plotholes or It's something that I can't understand.

    Lets start from the beginning:

"The Tenno are descendants of an ancient and mystical civilization of lost warriors from the Orokin era on Earth. Preserved in cryopods for centuries, the Tenno now awaken to a new war, fighting and resisting warring factions as the sole bearers of the Orokin-created Warframes. While the memories of the Tenno have faded over time, their mastery of guns, blades, and Warframe exo-armor has not. "

So long time ago in the ancient times they we're a faction with human-like features (eg limbs) or they we're humans, they we're the Tenno. They had these mysterious exo-armor called the Warframe, they function as armor and they had mystic powers a lot of commons with natural powers, elements and physics, which at their time and the time today is far superior when facing the rival. At some point they we're extinct for no explenation and forgotten, but then a Sentient the Lotus otherwise known as Natah Instead of destroying these armor suits, the warframe she saved them betraying their own kind because their kind in her perspective we're on the evil road, while she felt pity and regret she changed her living ways.

So the very first confusion I do have is when you  a Tenno woke up, since nobody is inside this cold and empty exo-armor, who is behind this? Who is manipulated from, and from my perspective it didn't seem that it was the Lotus, but somebody else. This is also way back behind update 18 so there is no operator inside the warfame, the abandoned liset isn't rescued yet and the Lotus simply guided you and gave commands instead controlling the exo-armor.

Secondly during a lot of the missions the Lotus refers you as Tenno, not Operator. She refers you as Tenno, a faction that was extinct long ago, but again I made a research so the new rescured operator that seems to be in command of everything you do,  there is a claim that the operator is a Tenno faction, so I felt a little nostalgic feeling since It started making sense. A master that was for centuries in cryostasis is awaken by the warframe that rescued him.

But then again, who is behind this warframe? Who is the operator that Ordis was refering to if the operator the really you was asleep in a cryochamber? Is this some kind of time paradox?

  7. When the title of your thread is ''The plot is rubbish'', people who like the plot are obviously going to get defensive. Not much understanding can take place when you outright refer to something that some like as a 'Joke'.

If you want understanding, it's best to not insult everyone and mock that which some like.

I love Warframe too, I have an irrelevant stat of 3000 steam hours, and I liked the story. I knew it was coming, and I wasn't particularly happy when I worked it out before the quest, but after playing it I loved it.

The plot twist wasn't objectively devastating, otherwise the game would be in serious crud right now with the majority of customers moving on from the game. It's just your opinion, and unfortunately one angry voice on the forums is meaningless, DE aren't going to change the entire story they've worked on for the past 2 years just for a small minority.

I'm pretty sure that I didn't targeted the whole community, I can't say I'm surpized that everyone thinks that I insulted them. I'm pretty sure that I wanted to point out a specific part of the community who behave exactly how companies want to and don't cause any backlash. So if you know what Payday 2 has done you'd be surprised that most people still defend their behalf even if they turned the game into a complete wasteland with their dlc and microtransactions, still a lot of people got really upset with their practices but also half of their community don't react at all. I just hoped a conversation and I'm sorry if it turned out like this.

  8. I know why many people disagree and stand by the DE's decision but if you play all the quests from the start if you make a new account just observe the lore and the motions and you will see that update 18 is unfitting. Just notice way before update 18 your experience is entierly different that's what I'm trying to say in simple words. I get that silent protagonist thing, and I didn't mind that you can change female warframes to male or vice versa that was the game's insignificant flaw, The new Intoduced operators lack of flavor and you're not having the impression that you used to have.

Take Fallout: New Vegas for example, a great game that allowed you to be whoever you wanted to be. You could be a Good Samaritan by helping other people, you could be a ruthless assassin hunting down bounties for exchange of money, you could be a cunning thief making insane profits, and you could be a psychopath cannibal the game totally allowed you that.

Almost the same Experience I had with warframe previously, I had this impression of me being a sneaky assassin looting containers and searching for caches, siding with what I made profits the most. Now I'm forced to be "The Operator" that I absolutely despise, who mentions "we are honored" to hell with your honor, I'm not what you think I am. And  as I mentioned I hate the voice acting and I hate the models, this is not what I hoped for, This is not me. Please understand me.

And I'm honestly tired of people sub minimally say "well if you don't like the game dont play it"

Honestly I love warframe I have over 500 steam hours, and I'm totaly trying to ignore the cancer that micro transactions that is but this plot twist is devastating.

  9. I do kind of agree with you OP but some of the things you say sound more like a rant.

I've been wondering for the past 2 years. Will warframe ever be able to engage me with its story? So far theres is no effect or touching drama or twists. Much of the story seems more like a TV commercial with sidestorys where i am detached. Mostly its driven by the incredibly short questlines. With no continuation that links events to the building of the universe. Also doesnt help how every questline is tied to a "product new weapon, frame or enemy."

Whats more the fact everything is practically a clone or an android and we're surrounded by immortals. Have any main characters in Warframes storyline died?

Have we seen any evidence a functional society or torments outside of that 1 time Alad V chopped up a tenno in a promo video?

Like I mentioned this game suffers from Legend of Zelda Syndrome, The puppet master behind all that should have been introduced beforehand not at this point.

  10. There was nothing stating that the Tenno (Pre-Update 18) were human. They were mute soldiers under the protection and orders of the Lotus.

The story is "rubbish" to you, because it messes with how you wanted the story to be, or how it should go.

Your typical argument that every time I engage you encounter these. It's not like I wanted to be this I wanted to be that. They just ruined completely everything by deciding a plot twist having no basis whatsoever.

  11. I've read the forum rules before posting. I've read them carefully and I don't found anything that says "don't criticize us" so I'm happily going to my room and get my whip to crack it to those responsible for the writing.

So to me feels like Warframe suffers from the Legend of Zelda Syndrome, or something similar because I never seen a game that the plot is written AFTER the game development process. You don't do that, I'm now forced to a experience that I don't "bond" with! It's like a movie where you get to be a wizard, and as you progress you become older and stronger and in the end it turns out hey you're not a wizard you're a summoned human by a spell who was used by a real human being!

That's how ridicilous and god awful plot that warframe has. I've been playing this game when it was released as an open beta in 2013, I eventually lost interest in late 2014 because of how long it took of them to add storyline quests but even that they are basically fillers that have almost nothing absolutely to do with the warframe. 14 Quests, only 4 are the main storyline quests.

So let me try piecing together, and you're welcome to discuss:

(Screw what the wikia says about tenno, they had to rewrite everything after update 18!)

You're Tenno, a HUMAN BEING and You awake from a Cryopod weak, dizzy and exausted like a HUMAN BEING would. You had also this ascaris attached to the tenno by vor in order to be controlled and used as a weapon but it failed and you get empowered by the very first ally you've met, the lotus. While you are now "revitalized" you make a run for your escape. As you escape to the exctaction the ship goes boom and you forced for a plan B then you found an abandoned ship "The Liset" as they named it, which is controlled by a Cephalon Ordis, then after his "cold boot" then after leaving you feel comfort and safe while you've made your two new friends Ordis and The Lotus, so far so good for now I felt Immersed immediately.

Then they introduce you to a bunch of opposed factions, the orokin and the infested blah blah blah, then we went hunting down the bad guys and build the new warframes, which surprisingly don't have any background except for Valkyr I think. Who needs background anyways when DE Wants MONEY! Then they introduced syndycates which I don't care at all etc. There is a lot of stuff I can add that are not official but I thought it's one of the games that makes you use your imagination instead, which not always work.

Look its going to take a long time to write everything down because I have to admit they worked on this game hard, but I had this impression of me being a badass ninja saving the solar system, serving the lotus, getting hunted by a creepy dude the stalker and be a completely greedy tat endlessly grinding for money.

Then Update 18 came up and it's the final nail to the coffin, I found it devastating. When I started playing Warframe I enjoyed the experience of being a Freelancer Ninja making allies and enemies, side quests that made you feel like a human being. The lotus was like overly protective mother, I remember she threatened Teshin to not lure the Tenno into danger. Ordis too, upon discovering the monster that Jordas was he was terrified because he put his Tenno friend into danger. He put a human being into danger. Would they worry if a tin puppet controlled by somebody else from light years away? Then what the hell was that with Update 18? Seriously? Are we puppet masters now?

Firstly the models are god awful, I turned "the operator" into a clown because It's a reference to the plot of Warframe, a JOKE! (ba dum tss). The voice acting also sounds like they're the purehearted wimps from high school in texas, which has nothing to do with the personality that I was immersed with. I hoped I was a badass ninja saving the solar system, being respected by the syndicates accepting me as their hero, fighting villains and killing thousands of opposed faction troopers, being a part of an amazing Tenno Clan and overall awesomeness.. I mean what Is this? Why?

I don't want to be a wimp puppet master, I want to be a badass ninja. De you dun goofed bad and I'm very dissapointed.

  12. You know and we both know that at some point, You need to supercharge your warframe or weapon. Because after mobs reach LVL35 you need some serious heat. Problem is, these essential boosts are so damn rare to find.

It used to be at least once a week, or after a devstream upon the name "gift of the lotus".

I say, why dont we include the reactor and catalyst blueprints in Orokin Void missions. Same as forma, that helps right?

    Discuss the advantages and disandantages.

  13. Problem:

Dojo's by today's standards currently serve two purposes:

    Trading Posts

    Claiming Researched blueprints

    Solar Rails (Rarely)

Today I see huge dojo's which ten, hundreds, and thousands of players contributed their hard earned money and resources all for almost a waste.

    Solution:

All these beautiful aesthetical gardens, halls and rooms, duel rooms, obstacle courses, navigations could be brought back to life if you add Landing Craft Docks (Exactly like you see on relay entrances) and to give the dojo more value you should add ALL MODULES that is being used on your Landing Craft.

Dojo's should at least have: Modding Module, Market & Codex, Arsenal, and  Navigation (Already There). Simply give the player a choise if he wishes to remain in his Landing Craft, or be inside the dojo for every mission ended & time he logs in. Give us an option to dock and undock from a dojo, and yes for "realism" factor I suggest this should be allso classed as a "research".

DE, We've served the will of Lotus unqestioningly, we attended at alerts and invasions. We Destoyed enemy reactors, we exterminated, we defended, we rescued, we assasinated, unquestioningly. But a Tenno left his social life behind. As we tenno used to be called Humans. Humans are social creatures, we can't stand isolations.

    DE PLEASE HAVE MERCY

  14. I have few items that I don't need ,you can either convert them into duncats, resell them, or manufacture them I don't mind.

Please before making offers do a price check, I will sell them pretty cheap.

Unfortunately this picture below is a little outdated but I havent sold anything.

  15. DE, you worked really hard for past updates and adding more and more content in the game. But you really forgot some simple mechanics and UI elements 3rd Person shooters should have..

    Dynamic Crosshair

    As previously suggested here

The simple dot isn't really helping. Before you respond I know that the way recoil works different in this game, normally a recoil in other good games like CSGO works from constant fire from a gun, not small burst attacks I already know about that. But still the simple dot is removing some of the accuracy by player's perspective.

Most of you already know how a dynamic crosshair works.

A static crosshair is basically a cross with a dot in the centre, a dynamic crosshair responds to fire accordingly and expands upon fire indicating the recoil region, and the small dot in the centre indicates your targeting.

Enemy Awareness Markers (During Unaware mode)

If you have played any stealth games, you noticed before the AI is alarmed an indication appears the level of awareness. I think we should introduce this to warframe. I suggest awareness indication above the health bar. Because lets face it we all know that the stealth mechanics in warframe are vastly underdeveloped.

Gear Wheel; Item Select upon exiting mouse hover.

One of my most awkward moments is during c. simaris missions hunting the specimen, I have first tap Q then mouse over to the far left to select the Synthesis trap, then Press Q again to mouse over and select the Synthesis scanner and then scan the pray.

My suggestion could fix this problem. Simply position the item wheel in the center around the crosshair, make sure the spacing is comfortable. Simply the direction of your mouse motion will select the item, and upon releasing the gear menu key (Q) that item will be used.

It worked bloody nice on Crysis games, why not on warframe?

    6nqfkw.jpg

    Daily Reward System

YOU PROMISED DE. Fix it. It's about time you should. I'm tired getting constant rewards that I never need. Suit/Weapon XP when I have all LVL30, 10,000 Credits when I get for fun 25.000 in one spin in orokin missions. Platinum coupons haha forget about it, not untill you quit for a week and play the game again THEN you will have higher drop chances. It's like one ungratefull girlfriend and when you stop caring and return she will be fallen in love once again.

  16. We've beaten the mission 3 times in a row. While someone hosted an event at the Recruiting chat The first 2 times I forgot to activate the quest before playing, so once I activated the quest we played 3rd and last time and I noticed the mission wasn't complete which seems logical, after the quest is activated I played it once again..... and It did not complete.

We received 3 atlas helmets in a row though. But mission isn't complete, please fix the bug before I spoil myself with the lore. I tried logging out and relogging, nothing happened.

  17. We already know that Warframe delivers AAA Gaming experience to the public for free of charge, and besides that I'm actually Impressed that the game runs fair enough on a low end Graphics card like I do.

I own a Gainward GTX 650 Ti 1GB GDDR5 (928 MHz Core) (1350 MHz Memory) and I run the game @ 1920x1080 MSAA, All settings high except Shadows which are set on medium, nvidia PhysX OFF and I disabled depth of field and runtime tessellation because I though they hog out the most from the GPU. I get a decent 45-50 FPS ingame and sometimes solid 60 FPS When I play alone and I don't have much mobs surrounding me.

Back When I started playing the open beta the game was running like tat, I had to Disable the DirectX to get it right, plus lower the settings even further than the "medium" setting and I had the same graphics card I owned before.

Sadly there isn't any Draw Distance setting or Fog, if you don't know what it is its essentially how far the game engine will render the geometry and textures. Far from that all I'm quite happy with this performance tweak, I expect even better in the future so people don't have to purchase expensive hardware to enjoy their favorite game :)
