  1. Howso?

Did you read Reason #4 in my OP?

And if people were REALLY playing to the story, then we'd have people trying to balance the war out. Think about it -- if the Tenno help the Grineer Curbstomp the Corpus, then the Grineer will literally turn right around and bring their full might to bear against the Tenno which does not help us in the long run.

    HOWEVER....

If the Tenno made the Grineer pay for every inch of their victory (or if they did the same to the Corpus), then both sides would be weakened very heavily and it would have been a Pyrrhic Victory of epic proportions and both sides would be very heavily weakened and forced to back off and recoup their losses.

But sadly, the game mechanics don't support this (lack of 'balance' rewards) and the playerbase doesn't seem to understand (more like they probably simply don't care) about the actual lore behind this.

Okay so you're going to call me "Bitter" because I'm disappointed that DE pitched a "Power Struggle" to us and instead gave us a Curbstomp Battle that was decided at the very beginning?

    Ok, fine, I'm bitter then.

Nobody enjoys a war movie where there's no question in who's going to win or how they're going to win. Everybody knew Rambo was gonna win and come out alive, the exciting part was more of "HOW is he gonna beat all of those guys?". What we have here is a "Yup, Grineer are gonna win, nothing to see here. *yawn*" type thing, unless DE pulls something weird at the very end to suddenly tip the scales over... but then if they do that, then we'd have the hordes of Grineer supporters whining about it, that'd probably hurt the game as a whole if they didn't let them win.

Ah as a tenno in this war the smart thing to do is side with the Grinnies and save more Tenno to aid us in the future. Not only that but the enemy of my enemy is my friend so siding with one side to wipe out another makes far more sense to me as fighting both sides hasn't done a great deal yet so wiping one out and then  going for the other in a weakened state is a much better idea.

As for your points they are all valid in my honest opinion I just enjoy the event anyway :).

Hope you end up enjoying it anyway!

  2. I didn't have any lag, more just started lagging when it appeared....old code? Why would it still be there at all? As a programmer I can't imagine just leaving code running in there if it doesn't do anything or never will. In fact at least I would comment it out or separate it. Obviously your right and it has been there but isn't lag causing an event strange by any means?

  3. Hoping this is what I think it is and means DE are working on difficulty selections for each level and furthermore I'm hoping for the nightmare mode to be an option with further options to select what mutations I would have while playing. I'd hope that selecting mutations would mean bonuses for loot, drops and XP.

This happened after a defense...Must have bugged out but still got a good look at it.

  4. About the inability to dodge, that's only true to an extent. The way the mechanics work are that the longer you stay in their field of vision the more accurate they become. If you stand around for too long instead of actually staying mobile you get ripped to shreds. Hopping from cover to cover and breaking line of sight repeatedly makes them stormtrooper levels of inaccurate effectively allowing you to dodge their "undodgable" bullets.

Dodging a bullet is mostly about not being where the enemy is aiming when they fire and the way Grineer aim supports a mobile playstyle better than most people are implying. None of how the Grineer work goes against the core gameplay and letting simply moving be the answer to all gunfire is, in my opinion, a bad move. Tactical mobility should be supported more than simply moving for the sake of it.

As for constructive ideas, having parkour moves decrease enemy accuracy, perhaps by resetting it to the default level when you start a parkour trick, could make the fancier movement tricks more appealing.

Yea it would work but it would kind of feel like a cheap knock off when compared with just having even a minute delay. I always hated in games where rolling meant an instant dodge no matter how close or far you are. Just my two cents.

  5. Why balance all the weapons in game? At the moment all there is to do is grind and grinding for side grades doesn't interest me, not that all weapons are side grades but people seem to want them to be and I don't get it. I  don't have a latron prime and I don't see the point in all that work at the moment personally considering how many people are calling for it to get a nurf because it makes latron prime "obsolete"... I don't get why they just add prime on to the end because that insinuates that it is a better version where as if they just called it another name  or something it would have been a different weapon and could have been the weapon it was based on.

Unless were going to get attachments for weapons to add negatives and positives it isn't a game of consequence...You just get a new weapon and level it using your uber mods. I don't mind it at the moment and I still will play obviously but don't get the point of this game at the moment.

  6. Fair enough, you care about the gender of your frame and didn't want to make a new account I get that and don't necessarily agree but that's on you and shouldn't and does not matter to me. To be honest taking from this a silver lining I think a little bio thing with some information could really add to the lore and  clean up what characters are who and for what purpose as well as maybe a little history.

I also don't think it's too much to ask that if people delete all available frames they get re-offered the choice of starter frames to avoid build up of old accounts due to the number of people that will take that very action (However small that number may be). I say this point with certainty in my heart as it wouldn't effect anyone in a negative way and is surely a positive improvement.

im sorry but i cant understand you at all.

Check mate on the argument scale sir.

                 -Maybe jus' a lil high!

  7. Anyone know if it is in need or a fix or whether it's supposed to be S#&$ against high level mobs? Seems its only good for low level mob squad bashing and even then you can't guarantee its going to blow. On high levels if I forget to take it off I have a 90% chance of doing S#&$ damage, although I will say it doesn't explode nearly as much as you'd think 90% chance would.

    Anybody?

  8. Anyone else annoyed by seeing time added repeat across the top of the screen. I'm running on a second hand rig at he moment as mine died and I'm forced to play on a lower resolution and for me the writing is pretty big and kind of off putting.

PS not sure if it's only annoying to lower resolution players.

Any chance they could make it smaller or am I getting the wrong end of the stick and the rest of the community like it?
