    This post is about how variety for primary weapon builds can be achieved.

    Removing or nerfing mods like serration wouldnt help with variety because we would only search for the next best mod that can become mandatory for every build.
    Some form of merging / fusing the mod into your weapon wouldnt help either because that is essentially exactly what we got right now. It wont help with the server-sided filesize
    and the mods we fuse into a weapon would just be our mandatory mods from now so it would be like adding mod slots but in a disguised way.

    What about making mods like Serration conditional?

    We already got mods like the acolyte mods but the issue with those is that their condition is either too inconvenient and/or 
    their effect is just straight up weaker than their simple counterpart. There is no reason to use argon scope over point strike and
    the only time you would use Argon Scope is when you can afford to use both. If variety is the goal then argon scope should be stat-wise better
    than Point Strike because a weaker mod with a downside is not really an alternative.
    Warframe builds dont have the same variety problem that primary weapons have. One reason for that is because warframes need to be modded differently
    whereas every weapon could use extra damage. Another reason why Warframe builds have more variety is due to the power of corrupted mods in comparison to
    the simple variants. Blind Rage is in the ability power aspect more than 3 times better than intensify but it has the big downside of reducing your efficiency.
    Some Warframes can deal with that while others have to choose from a pool of other mods that provide ability strength with minor stats or different downsides.
    Alternatively can the negative be countered by using mods that grant efficiency which both leads to more variety.
    Why are the corrupted weapon mods so bad then? Heavy Caliber doesnt outclass Serration meanwhile Blind Rage outclasses Intensify it is pretty much the same theory.

    I think if acolyte mods (or maybe new mods that have conditions that shouldnt be limited to an event) and corrupted mods for weapons get buffed or serration and other simple
    mods get nerfed would greatly benefit the variety of primary weapon builds. And since in the past a lot of our gear and tools got nerfed it is maybe the best idea to bring
    out new mods so that we have more mods that provide the same stats but with different downsides.

    It could be argued that players would just use all the damage mods on their weapon then and not much would change but that doesnt make too much sense since adding elemental mods
    is more beneficial than just stacking damage mods. In addition to that warframe builds usually have the option to slot in a Natural Talent or an augment mod.
