  1. Yes, but the whole idea of event weapons was something not only recognizable, but a symbol of power and dedication. An event-exclusive weapon should stand out from all other weapons, and be worthy of respect and admiration because of it's power. Not just a skin over an already-existing weapon.

That is still no reason for event weapons to be grossly out of balance, like the Brakk was...

  2. Prime warframes just have an extra polarity so no, it's not a waste. Stats are the same except for Excalibur prime that has 22.5 shield regen instead of the normal 20, if I remember it right. Also all primes restore a bit of energy near the trap cubes in the void but that really doesn't help in any meaningful way.

  3. Simply, remove the falloff from the Brakk, keeping shotty-pistol uniformity

No. Lets keep shotty-weapons uniform and have falloff on all of them. I am tired of secondaries outclassing primaries all the time and this particular fix is a step in the right direction. If primary shotties can't do squat at range the neither should secondary.

  4. So you've come to the Magnus thread to cry about the Brakk? Seriously?

For the love of Christ, I was making a sodding comparison and you're the one that started yammering on about the Brakk. What the hell is your problem dude?

  5. Your comparison is completely, totally, terrible.

Are you partially blind or just have terribly short memory? Let me remind you what I said:

    Crap version of the brakk.

If you don't see the blatant implication that Brakk is grossly, insanely out of whack with the general balance then you need to pay far more attention when reading.

  6. We need more diversity in terms of defensive mods. Right now, shield stacking (with a bit of health on the side to allow for poison or bleeds) is too good simply because shields regenerate. If you want your health to regenerate, you need an aura, and even that has a ridiculously low recovery rate. Since armor is tied to health, it too is obsolete.

Which is true until you start fighting high level Grineer that rape your health with slash procs no matter how high your shields are...

  7. A Blast loadout? Isn't this supposed to be a Corpus weapon? And isn't Blast the worst loadout against Corpus?

    I'm clearly missing something.

The 2 second AoE knockdowns that come with blast procs is what you miss. Also blast does fine against anything, not spectacular but enough to do it's job.

  8. When at last the Stalker shows that he is a challenge everybody starts to god damn huge pitching about him. He is fine now. Somebody close this damn thread already.

This. People have been complaining he was too easy for ages. Now that he got a buff and is an actual threat to a player everyone starts crying about it. You have 4 damn revives, just die to him if you aren't good enough and get over it already.

  9. So if it's a crap version, how is this possibly a PROBLEM?

The problem is that Brakk is about ten times better than any other weapon atm and there is no reason to use anything else unless you didn't participate in the event. It's completely broken.

Wow. With that logic if we had a gun that did 5 damage a shot before mods and had 25% status it'd be OP. Lt's just leave that there so you can look at how stupid that sounds.

Why do you think logic applied to a 45 damage gun can carry over to a 5 damage one? If you want to make a good argument you should cut down on the hyperbole.

  10. hehehehe.....wait, you are serious? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

you know this is like the vasto but for coprus, right?

hardly power creep. a lot of sidearms are already way better than this.

Who gives a damn about the damage type. The problem is the 20% proc chance, coupled with blast damage and 180% multishot you will stunlock every mob on your screen, basically a crap version of the brakk.

  11. I heard somewhere that formula for damage reduction from armor changed (someone datamined it apparently) and that this formula makes the damage reduction weaker.. even with the buffs. Not sure though, need more evidence.

I think that DE meant to nerf the armor scaling for high level Grineer with this change and the change for frames was just a side effect of that.

Tbh, I don't really know what DE are doing anymore. I really like the new damage types they introduced, but armor is now a problem more than before since you have literally no way to counter it (AP sucks against high armor just like anything else).

  12. Well, when I applied an AP mod to my Ceramic Dagger it bumped up the charge damage from a 2 hit kill against lvl1 lancers to a 1 hit kill. That means it has to have an AP component for the mod to scale as they don't work off base damage.

Also the charge attack deals damage reduced by armor in line with the regular attack and triggers procs like one so I assume it does have the same damage split ratio as a regular attack.

To add to it further, I believe that the split to damage is a % and not a manually adjusted number. Weird damage numbers like 2.4 are likely just a rounded result of the split which probably applies to the charge attack in the exact same way.

  13. All the iron skin models look like giant silver turds. I'd prefer it not to cover up my fancy paint job, especially since it has unlimited time now. I made the suggestion to overhaul this ability about a million times already but DE seem to be pretty determined to make it all cool-and-iron-like... Because being iron is so cool. Just make it a damn over-shield because that is 100% the way it behaves, not to mention it would be more logical than spontaneously growing a layer of iron.
