I do not support this at all. As a gentleman/lady before me said, this entire thread seems based off of the idea of "buyer's remorse" and, potentially, some frivilous use of expendable upgrade items.
This and lore. Why on earth would an ancient orokin relic somehow be a modification for your mass produced rifle? As for Vandals, they are better off as seperate weapons because they are awarded for events and most people would like to use them without building the base weapon first, also free slots and potatoes are welcome.

Second easiest way? Let us grind off that damn gold. Nowhere in the lore does it strictly say the gold was paint proof.

Yes, they alter the appearance: it's still a reskin just like the Fraggor's Brokk: but it's a suitable change in appearance that should be sold as a skin, not a whole new weapon that is infact the same weapon as Latron with a stat boost and appearance overhaul.
^ That is why DE will keep primes as they are. Primes are the original Orokin weapons on which newer versions (non-primes) were based off. Making them skins would make no sense, unlike the Brokk which was a customized Fragor. That is also the reason we retrieve pre-made parts for the primes instead of crafting them like other weapons. Their stats may be altered by DE in the future, but I'm certain they will always be separate weapons.
Also, you mentioned "dozens" other ways to handle primes. I'm eager to hear them, because quite frankly I doubt there are many other ways of making primes that are still "prime".

- TLDR: Point being, it's not 'fun' nor is it 'hard' or 'rewarding' to level a weapon and potentially have forma'd it repeatedly only to have it directly replaced by a duplicate with gold super-glued to the frame and better stats. No matter how much it's argued, it's still a direct replacement. If you took the time to Forma a weapon twice it's better than the prime 'right then' but if you want that weapon you just forma'd twice to be at it's best you'll have to go dig out the prime duplicate of it and do the forma grind all over again. There are other, vastly more interesting, challenging, fun and entertaining alternatives than even this post covers: but that's the gist.
Yeah, and what's wrong with that? I certainly don't have any problems with my weapons having a stronger, harder to obtain version. At any rate, why do you call primes duplicates when they clearly have: different stats, different models(not just skins), different firing sounds and different lore? Sounds like a different gun to me.

I never bother with dps when comparing weapons. Just a misleading statistic that disregards things like accuracy and ammo consumption.

What makes you think that? It looks like explosive shells to me. Nowhere is it called an energy weapon.
The energy trail/beam tells me that.

Sciknight other ppl are killing the mobs for you. Hellgrind quoted you'll be wading through mobs in no time, you'll be spit wading on mobs in no time "fixed". Phanboy you only play callisto if you think 2 mods make guns beast. Rhogre if you have rifle amp and rhino roar with max 60 any gun would kill trash mobs. Lets talk about void here instead of mobs that instant die from nova 4

I am not even going to pretend to know enough about programing game engines and the ins and outs of how they work to say how to fix it. I would just prefer if they can't fix it in a 2week period(drop it if it is a time sink) and just do a dirty fix. If it linger till release it will never be fixed.
It might be impossible to fix without rewriting the whole thing, in a better way that will not inevitably create more bugs, which will probably take years. I think we're better off just getting used to it because I don't see this issue going away any time soon.

Despair. Neither of them are affected by scaling armor so higher damage of despair is a win in my book. Against light infested, modded Despair should kill them about as fast a kunai regardless because of better elemental scaling.

Rifle Amp + Rhino Roar + packed to full 60 gorgon = death laser. It's absurdly powerful. If you honestly think it performs like crap then you need to play more than 5 minutes with it.

The DoT seems really strong, 720 base damage over 5 seconds if all pellets hit. I hope you don't plan for this to stack.

What the hell do you even mean by that? Wielding a gun on one hand and a melee weapon in the other? If so, then you already can do pretty much the same thing since you can melee at any time without having to switch to the melee weapon.

Well, vampire mode was already pretty hard to fail unless you royally mess up the timing. Now it's just downright easier than normal.

Nope, Tenno are warriors. We have guns, big swords and super high tech exoskeletons, no need for one hit wonder, overly situational ninja weapons. Besides, DE already put in bows and throwing weapons, not sure what other contraptions you desperately need.

I disagree.
I'm far from a master at these weapons, but I can land both Kraken shots, and at 2 or 3 rounds from a Burston on someone's head at 50m as often as not.
It does take practice, but it's not terribly difficult, and the Burston can snipe.
Yeah, but it's not reliable when you have 40 grineer hosing you down and eating your framerate, putting off your timing.

People need to learn how to use burst fire weapons.
My accuracy with the Burston is higher than with the Latron or Latron Prime.
Yeah, now apply your master knowledge of burst fire weapons to 50 meter headshots. Latron wins in that scenario and that is my point.

In that case, latron or latron prime is the worst weapon in the game, yet people still like it ?
If I am not wrong, latron prime would only do 90 damage per second with two shots, right ?
Burston is still double that amount ?
Latron is different. Hitting with every bullet of the burston is not likely while a latron will not fail you as long as you have a good aim you won't waste ammo. As for DPS, latron is indeed the worst rifle, not sure what you expected.

The most bursts you will usually get due to frame rate and human reflexes is around 2 a second so no, by a large margin.
