  1. Funny at how my brand new Banshee frame with a brand new bow and gram can solo a level one zone. Have level 11 akbolto pistols as well, but never had to use them. Argument invalid.

It is also common for a game that comes out of closed beta to open beta to reset something. Just be happy it wasn't a complete wipeout.

Cards need to drop more frequently, or have more ways to obtain them, fusions need to be cheaper, or at least up the amount of credits you earn, and blueprints need to be way cheaper. New players won't be able to get any new stuff for free when they are spending their credits for fusions. You never want to twist a customers arm to invest money into a game.

  2. Dual Heat Swords are nice. Very powerful charge attacks. Plus it has a passive fire element as well. Furax are good, but they are not great for crowd control. Trying to get the gram, because broadswords are always nice.

  3. I have no problems with it. I am even able to chain my slide jump into another slide jump, but the 2nd time hugs the ground like crazy, making it impossible to chain anything beyond two.

  4. This is mostly due to the fact that once you select the paint option, you cannot go back to the arsenal screen with the help of a now absent back button. Only way to actually get back to your arsenal screen is to hit any of the other tabs, such as market, and then go back to arsenal. As a result, this will not save any of the changes you have just made to your colors.

  5. When I mentioned this about Ember before, difficulty wasn't the issue for me. It was about certain things making sense. I understand that a lot of things can be hand-waved in a setting like this in the name of game-balance, but coherency in gameplay elements is still important. The flamethrower comparison for Ember doesn't make a lot of sense to me, because she isn't wielding a seperate weapon that spews fire - she's doing that stuff herself. She literally manifests flame and wades through it - which means that taking damage from other fire sources is something that sorta sticks out like a sore thumb. The same thing applies to Frost, partly through association with Ember's inexplicable vulnerability to fire that she HASN'T created.

You could expound on that by wondering why other frames can wade through an inferno created by her without issue yet get roasted by regular little fires.

I would propose solving this bit of content incoherency by allowing frames to offer passive defence bonuses to squadmates in the same mission - for example, while giving an Ember player heavy resistance to fire-based attacks and enviromental hazards, having one in the squad could pass on a fraction of that resistance to players in the same squad as a passive bonus for the duration of that mission. Similar things could be done with Frost with Ice hazard missions, and perhaps even Rhino with melee-based enemies, for instance. It could offer additional incentives for variety in the make-up of a squad if handled right.

It is a game, not a Sim. Screw logic, I am Tenno.

  6. So that is how laser doors work. My friend and I encountered them for the first time yesterday, and we thought that we had to kill every single enemy in the room to proceed, including cameras. Glad to know i is just the cameras to look out for.

But the laser barriers are still bugged. Whenever you run through one, you get launched back . . . Wtf, every laser barrier in games has it that can't pass through it.

  7. Lol i'm referring to the new wannabe DMC game. The one you probably didnt touch when you found out it wasn't really dante and just some foul mouthed moron with a terrible voice actor behind him. Fortunately the gameplay is really quite good in that game. The scythe plays quite well.

I know what you were talking about, but I decided to use Nevan from DMC3 as my example, as it sounded more ridiculous. Honestly, the new DMC isn't bad, but it isn't the greatest thing ever.

  8. They can use their elements, but I would imagine that the war frames are made in a similar fashion, irregardless of their element. Yes, it sorta makes sense that they would get a damage reduction to their element, but this is not the case for gameplay reasons . . . Only three war frames use an element, which would make it unfair for the other war frames. Plus, you would see more people use the same war frames due to their damage reduction effect . . . For example, everyone would use frost on ice missions.

  9. Eh, it may not be as good, but it works fine. It is still closed beta, so it'll get fixed. As for aim assist, don't need it. (Really wish it that hacking worked with controller. That is the biggest pain with controllers right now.

  10. How cute.

As to your counterpoint, most likely not. Even then though, I find it very interesting that the game tried to do a makeshift walking animation, when I slightly tilted. The game had nothing to go on in terms of walk speed, and it didn't have a fluid animation, but it is still interesting that the game recognized what I was trying to accomplish.

Edit: Guess it does natively support controllers. Sweet.

  11. I agree that the ninja moves needs to be improved upon. Right now, it isn't responsive, and getting it to work when you desperately need it to is rather unreliable. I like the idea of ninja moves, but get them to work in a way that makes them work as if it is natural. If people want to run past the enemies, then fine, let them. Make it so that you won't level up your gear as fast as someone who actually fights everything.

Also, definitely make revivals respond better. Can't tell you how many times someone has died because of that.
