Its suggested to buy slots as everything can be farmed in warframe but not slots. Always need to spend platinum to buy slots.
My suggestion for any newbie is to buy a few slots. You can't buy slots for every possible frame and weapon at the start. Buy few slots for your few favourite frames and weapons. Maybe slots for 2-3 frames and around 10 weapon slots. Which would be around 100p. Should be plenty to get you started.
After that you won't be the one asking the question of what to do with the this amount of platinum you spent your money on.
Next you may consider buying cheaper prime frames and weapons. Don't spend money on expensive frames and weapons such as ember, loki or boltor prime as an absolute newbie. You can buy Trinity prime, saryn prime, braton prime, orthos prime, akstilleto prime for the price of one ember prime

As mentioned PC has far more advantages over the console in my opinion. Heck we get new updates much faster. POE hits while console players can only watch videos of us PC players playing it. Still maybe a month away from them. One exclusive skin and even you want that.
Don't be that kid who has all the toys but sees another with that one toy you don't have and go all jealous.

Macros are perfectly fine don't worry about it. I use multiple macros.
PS : As long as you dont have a script playing the game for you while afk its perfectly fine..

Frankly I am more annoyed by the "What is that thing" in Kuva missions. Its like she has amnesia getting surprised every time by the siphon which I have destroyed numerous times.

In terms of pure team buff, aoe dps Octavia. Durability and aoe dps Nidus.
Nova is more of a crowd control frame with a slow nova build or fast nova build
Ash is good for stealth and DPS. Good for spy, capture missions
Frost is good when you want to defend an objective

No its not too long... Missions take far less time to complete. Most of the time I am speed running through missions. Its a casual grind game which I don't have to stress too much as missions are super short. I can do sorties, few void relics and alerts in 1 hour and log off.
Compared to 2-3 ranked Dota2 or CSGO game which easily last 40-1 hour per game, Warframe is my stress buster break when I don't want to game a lot.

Same for me. Last week I was travelling so downloaded a copy on my laptop for travel. After steam download it was only 500 mb extra using the launcher.

Link is not LOS as far as I know as it connects through walls and other obstacles. It can connect to even invisible targets such as manics. I have seen trinities wipe maps out-damaging even equinoxes and embers. Will have to test this out to as I normally only run a EV trin.

For my case focus farming I use aoe frames. For leveling I use tank or durable frames which allows me to use the weapon to level it up. If you are killing using aoe frames affinity gained is very less. If you want to level using banshee don't kill using sound quake, but use sonar and use the weapons you want to level,

Despoil, range and efficiency is the main core of a farming Nekros. No use of any duration mods like continuity or strength like Intensify. Desecrate has no positive effects if you increase strength or duration. You should only concentrate on range and efficiency.
A max range and max efficiency despoil Nekros has a range of around 60m with a 4 HP per corpse. The despoil HP loot is more than enough to survive long duration farming survivals. You can easily survive more than 30 mins in derelict survival with a build like that. I rarely use soul punch or terrify. Naramon shadow step (although maybe he useless when rework hits) and prism shade/shade (with primed regen and sacrifice) can make the missions quite easy.
With a slash based long range melee like orthos prime, atterax, galatine prime you can easily survive easily for long duration even solo.
To add don't carry weapons which take too long to kill just cause you want to heal. The main goal is to kill as fast as possible to desecrate. In case you need quick heal just carry a syndicate primary like Vaykor hek to get bursts of a healing when syndicate effect procs. Worst case carry health pads. I usually have 50 always equipped and rarely use 1 or 2 in a whole game.

When I started playing I bought Banshee prime access. I was walking around using a Helios prime and Euphona prime at MR5.

Well I would be happy is snipers did same critical chance as bows such as Dread or even Rakta Cernos. Have to rely a lot on rivens to make snipers compete with other weapons.

Will give it a try. Lately I have been playing a lot of maim equinox out damaging most other frames. But that is a very high range and efficiency build.

Finally got shadow step unlocked few days back and was having fun with it. Guess I will wait and watch what is coming.

What they did was S#&$ty too but I explained to you why they did it as you asked for an explanation. Spamming a long duration cataclysm + stasis is the definition of a how you troll as Limbo. In case you are new here they have been multiple threads with people ranting and hating limbo players for a change. People suggesting options to kick off limbo players, options to cancel limbo players skills, nerfing requests, rework requests.
Limbo is one of the most hated frames in warframe if he is in your squad and starts to troll. So if you keep playing cataclysm + stasis limbo don't be surprised if people quit on you.
You can bring long duration cataclysm + stasis to mobile defense and no one will complain but if you do this in defense missions I will quit on you even if I know mission will give me a vaulted prime part. That's how much hate wasting my time. If you want to be carried just stay in the rift and stay there do nothing.

Also I have to add that in defense missions the objective maybe to defend the pod but I have rarely seen it being destroyed unless we are talking about level 80-100 enemies. Little damage does not matter and almost everyone does keep a look around for pod HP.
If you are in a grinding XP mission like Akkad, Hydron then pod health is of least concern to me as I can easily defend it. In Hydron I can easily push to wave 20+ without worrying about pod damage. So I cant buy the reason to keep using 4 and 2 as Limbo to defend the pod.
I have no issue playing with Limbo players. I pushed to wave 45 with 2 limbos in my team once. But those limbo players actually killed and speed up the missions. Your combination 4 and 2 and melee only is literally the most boring thing and drags the mission especially in higher level enemies and I will leave any mission as soon as I see a Limbo doing that.

Well if you kept stasis and cataclysm constantly up you are basically forcing your team for melee only. Unless you have aoe frames the mission will just drag. If I was in your squad I would extract at the first 5 waves as its just wasting time playing with a limbo who plays like this. In fact I might even leave before 5 waves and start a new mission.

When I was doing the limbo quest the double resource weekend was on. So I decided I will farm cryotic. I have multiple limbo parts as I kept redoing the mission without completing the quest.
In fact I actually bugged out limbo theorem as even after completing the quest very late it showed as incomplete. Had to make a support ticket to show that the quest was complete in the codex.

I run 2 syndicates for now. Steel and Red veil. I trade weapons and mods for other syndicate weapons. Managed to get almost all weapons for other syndicates. I feel its much easier to do 2 syndicates as you don't have to worry much about maintaining a balance. Once I have built all archwing weapons and leveled all weapons I will switch to Perrin and New Loka as I feel these 2 are the easiest to sell weapons for a steady source of platinum with Sancti Tigris and Secura Lecta.
Think I have easily traded close to 10 Vaykor Heks and around 4 Rakta Cernos.

Yup its quite common. There is even a translation done of the orokin text.
How loud do you set your volume as I never had any issues with it. Don't put your headphones volume up so loud you will damage your hearing.

Me selling a nekros or valkyr prime set forgot which one. This guy offers to buy so I invite him and on the trade windows he starts to plead to give for free to a poor newbie. I close the window and leave the dojo. I tell my clan mates about it in chat. Then one of them tells me he is still in our dojo pleading for the set. (Before the update when you could stay even if the host left). Was funny and sad at the same time. A guy walking around our dojo pleading for free primes.
Most other trades have been pretty smooth no abusive language or fights.
