  1. I hate your company's action here.

Coming from a founder, with over 3k hours in game, MR 23 and hundreds of euros in the game. Hate. And you might remember me, I'm not a hater, I will be critical, but pragmatic, often defending the more casual and newer players as best I can.

But the way this company is handling the situation with Void_Glitch, ignoring all the bug fixes that we all only got because they got exposed through datamining, even to the DE dev/test team (and promptly, finally, fixed by them too), is showing a different company and attitude than four, three, or even one year ago. I don't like to see it and I certainly hate losing the actual data.

I want proper, guaranteed numbers. Not some BS colour (that I can't even tell apart by being quite colour impaired) scheme, not some 'we feel the grind is in a good place when it comes to the RNG / Dropchances', no, cold, hard verifiable numbers.

That's what the datamining means for me and that's what a responsible dataminer did for you.

Saying 'the industry doesn't do this, we're gonna be special/on the frontier with this' is a non-argument, since datamining, as it is accepted by much of the industry (ie not actively pursued since it is not illegal {bar certain countries/industries} nor hurting the involved companies {bar those cases where it was and the culprits were rightly pursued}) and provides all the data, objectively, verfiied by a third party data miner.

And it's not even a matter of trust, as DE has seen on several occasions themselves, when it comes to the resulting code being flawed in a way that only comes out through examining the expected data and results from the designer and developers at DE, the results us players are experiencing and the objective data mined data and spotting the faults, either in our player expectations, or, the resulting code/data in the actual releases.

I would love to see DE, finally, publish the actual drop table numbers, up to date for every patch, every event, every day. But I can only gain trust in them when it's objectively verified by a trusted third party, like someone who has been providing the cold hard data mined truth for years now.

    :(

An update, we got a couple pretty good leads on this, so unless disaster hits we'll have a solution later next week.

As an aside, looking through the thread, a few things like MR 3 test screen being broken, broken mod selling for credits, overlap on profile screen, and a couple more things that I saw in here are unrelated and will be fixed in the next update.

I certainly hope so :/ I can't play for more than an hour on a night now, the UI hurts my eyes, gives me headaches and generally it feels like a huge step back.

I'm running 2560x1440 and I can't see rewards on invasions on the map, the HUD/menu UI is ludicrously huge, I find myself checking my settings every time I login since it feels so wrong :(

  3. Yeah the AI is painful in the event, we've had entire groups dropping through the floor and teleporting back to some point in their journey, mostly dieing/needed revive. If it happens twice you're basically losing points..

This spot is one that often breaks, they tend to go right (towards the exit) as if they could handle the parkour:

  4. I tried the suggested fix from the thread from yesterday: move to relay, access conclave there. It worked once, but had no players join me. Tried to join with clan mate and locked again. It feels like a weird lack of dedicated servers/miscommunication thing

edit: have everything unlocked on map so doesn't look like it's related to that

  5. Let me start by not debating the fact that database size (table columns) is an issue, especially for the consoles (source: play FF14 too, with the lovely cross platform community and they, both Square Enix and Sony, are quite open about this anyway).

But them being so limited, it feels like a punch in the 'warframe is one of the best examples of how to do free to play right' face to make them so highly monetized. For many people it already feels like p2w since even with the riven patches there are still obvious winning weapons and losing weapons when it comes to these mods, thus seeing riven mods fetching well over the 1k plat price. As an avid collector, I planned on taking the long route to getting the mods I wanted and the 15 limit while annoying (how many would you have to leave open for possible future weapons, which are the weapons you want to invest more forma and time in, etc) was manageable..

With the word about riven mods for secondaries, I too was hoping to get 15 slots for those mods besides the current set, non grouped. But now it certainly feels like this new max of 60 (who knows for how long that will be) will be for the entire set, ever. Primary, secondary, melee?, archwing primary & melee? Sentinel & companion? Warframes? Who knows.. the limit of 15 certainly does not feel as nearly enough now when I think I tend to use maybe 4-7 weapons per type a lot.. And what about newer people, who might get mods for weapons they can't even have yet or don't have the MR yet. They might want to use them later, but may have to sell them and hope for RNGeebus to give it when they are ready for it", because 15 slots certainly does not leave a lot of room to work towards some weapons (the wall on some is pretty high). They might rather (and should rather) spend any plat on warframe and weapon and sentinel and companion slots, rather then riven mod slots.. but how much of a kick in the teeth would it feel like after they finally got that awesome riven mod they can't use..

It really feels like it would have been better to give us 15 slots per type, if limited to primary/secondary/melee and have the option to buy 15 more in the current set up, thereby not almost requiring people to get more slots, but making it a choice for veterans and people that support you lot!

  6. After many months of only using my favourite sentinel and only using companions as MR boost and trial-error-forget distractions, we got the Smeeta Kavat: I fell for charm like a ton of bricks: finally something to bring some extra fun into farm runs. Getting that charm buff was nice, getting the double resources was awesome: double void traces, double kuva, double syndicate emblems, double energy & health and double resources and credits; it was glorious. Our void trace farm group had a lot of fun trying to get the right charm buff before getting that tenth reactant and rolling them dice.

Even after Vacuum Within (my Helios is my fav, so it did actually make it more tempting to go back to sentinel) I just loved my kitten, trying out new ways to make her even better, got her up to 5 forma and loved every cycle.

But then Charm was nerfed. It did not and does not feel like it ever was a bug, so it's a nerf, not a fix. Without charm it's just another companion, worse in basically every way to a sentinel:

    • Vacuum (now universal)
    • Medi-ray
    • Weapons that rival or surpass any of our regular weapons, with 8 mod slots, forma options and potato options
    • Benefit from health pickups
    • Respawn on warframe respawn

Arguably the pets get a great 90% scavenge for additional looting, but the benefit of staying longer to wait for your pet to open all lockers vs just running it three times is arguable at best. The linked stats of pets can be ok for tank frames, but on high level content both sentinels and pets die easily, the fact sentinels revive with you where pets don't negates this usually. Having the option to revive pets is great on lower levels, although sentinels will just not go down regardless, and is more of a liability on high levels anyway, especially since you will not have its shelter shield since it's down.

So will companions be more than just eye candy again? Charm made the Smeeta Kavat an actual viable contender, with all the cons of using a companion vs a sentinel, but after the nerf no one companion/ability makes it worth if you want to spend forma and time efficiently. It would feel a lot better if going for a sentinel was a hard choice, not the easy and best solution every time.

    • Fixed Smeeta's Charm ‘Doubled Pickups and Affinity’ buff not working as intended and doubling a number of things that were unintended. It now properly doubles pickups: Resource, Health, Energy, Affinity, Credit and Ammo (previously it would).

Aw, while it is fun to have a companion with you for style, this now completely makes it fashion-frame only. The only redeeming feature was the double up for syndicate pick-ups, void traces, kuva, etc. Even with a high class build no companion can compete on usefulness with any of the sentinels, with vacuum, medi-ray and the fact they respawn after you revive. The damage output is also significantly lower on companions w.r.t. any effective use. You really had me sold with the Smeeta Charm, even though I needed to keep poring credits into keeping it going, but now it's just not worth the hassle.

Nn sweet kitten, into stasis you go :/

  8. So I love the way we can wiggle our landing crafts during the loading screen of a mission, but there some issues with it:

    • It always uses the default movement keys. I reckon not many people have the basic WASD rebound, I do, but the landing craft wiggle mode uses default, always. Would be nice to have it loop through the possible rebound keys settings :)
    • When I move right, the landing craft moves to it's left. I know, again a small thing, but why not just make it right (slight pun intended).
    • The Scimitar does not have wing movement when it moves to its left on key input. This is a weird one, I only noticed it when I got it myself, but it has some nice animations when moving to its right (both on sway and on key input), up and down and braking and even on swaying to its left, but not on key input. Looks like something quite fixable since the animations are there and it works on 4/5 inputs already.

I don't have the Xiphos yet, so no clue if there is something easily found in that, but the Mantis and Liset seems to work fine (all with the inverted left-right controls).

  9. Besides hating the spawns and spawn rates for the fissure missions so far (been said here before and far more eloquently than I would have), I really hate that I did not receive all relics at least once. I always took care to have at least one of each key and I had hundreds of some. It seems I now have over a thousand relics, it feels like all the Tower Tier keys got transformed into the same age relics, which is fine, but I'm lacking relics and thus the possibility to farm what I want now, where I could have done this pre patch because I already farmed the keys. This is simply bad design, DE is punishing people for playing the game the way they intended to have it played.

I also strongly agree on how this new method is horrible for us vets that like to introduce people to the game, taxi them through some missions and void mission for some cool rewards: now they cannot get a reward unless they equip their own relic, which is just making the game less coop, more egoistic.

  10. Going from

and my personal experience, I can't seem to get Eris finished again after the starmap 3.0 patch. My starmap shows:

    fmikLfA.jpg

so I've run and completed mutalist alad V, Jordas Golem and even tried doing Zabala and Oestrus, mostly because I couldn't believe it's still not completed. There is no indicator of how many I should still complete. I'm severely colour impaired, so the suggestions that there are different colour diamonds in the map came as a surprise, I just see filled in and black. I obviously cannot complete Jordas Verdict quest again until DE puts in an option to redo quests.

If anyone has a complete Eris and could upload an image, it might help :)

    Edit: fixed in Hotfix 7

  11. As said by many here before, trying to find a blueprint is horrible:

    * at first glance you want to be able to browse them. A shop without a browse option is horrible UI to begin with.

    * I tried searching, but you will never even see a blueprint for a weapon/frame/etc, only the limited set of gear bp's will show up

    * I was hoping for a nice toggle that would switch the entirety of the shop to blueprint mode, but actually it should start out like that, the platinum shop, in a game that has been so good at F2P that both players and the industry have used it as a gleaming example, should not spam platinum costs at new players like that. Alternatively, just have a seperate blueprint shop and link to them both in each other and from the Forge to the blueprint shop, keeping the market interface direct to the platinum shop.

    * Hide owned is nice, let's also have a Hide Mastery leveled

    * UI size is console based and looks horrible on high resolution, 6 slots wide where I can easily see 10. Could we get an option for that?

    * The fuzzy search logic is lacking indeed

  12. Many great points in this thread already, good OP too.

This stuff makes me not introduce new players to Warframe, while I, as a founder, as a 1000hr+ veteran, as a 18 month+ veteran, as a pretty nice guy who often taxi's and helps newer players, should be an ambassador for the game.

The hardest part for me is that it's getting very hard to defend that Warframe isn't p2w: many people here even suggest getting plat to get past part of this grind wall, which is easier for veterans without paying, but not that easy between these new market constructions introduced by DE.

I'm happy to buy the non mods through trade, with plat I either traded or bought, but the 1m credit tax means it's really hard to trade for those, even if you only try to max/fuse up one out of every four released (which is about what I do).

I know the fusion core drop nerf is partly to blame here, DE choose to not nerf the fusion with it, meaning something that was already beyond a farm wall is becoming even more of a grind. Now that most hard core players are really burning through their key collection, this will only get worse. Even for those of us that can still get 25k rep per syndicate every day quite easily, all be it costing a lot more time. While I'm by no means a no life player, I hope to play about 2-3 hours a day, I can't even keep up the farm between everything released while I already have (and often got rid of) everything that has been released.. I don't mind farming, I don't even mind a bit of grind, but I'm used to at least having a decent carrot for it, this is not the case in Warframe right now. I would hate to see the economy crash in game, it kind of already has for a sizeable part of the community.

  13. Lagging hosts generally have issues with upload (or the upload of clients), this is not something you can 'check' by ping limits. It's also not something that stays stable over hours for many people, especially those with shared connections (which could be at their location, but also due to their ISP). There is no good solution for this, but we all know some connections should really never be host, it would be great if we had a radio to select 'prefer hosting, prefer not hosting, unknown/don't care<default>' for those of us who know.

  14. I solo'd it easily. All I did was bring my Frost Prime and a bunch of energy and shield restores. I ended up using about 5-10 of each per run, but I was being extra careful to not run out of energy or shields. Sit on top of the thing, dropping restores when needed. If a Nullifier gets too close, hop off, take him out, then hop back on and continue. If things get too intense, drop a spectre. I used the MOA one myself when I was checking whether or not we could use em in the mission.

This. If you are the frost the rest of the team should not matter. Do your thing at the front of the truck and you should be fine. Keep in mind that spamming restores does nothing useful, but having a staggered set of 2 gives you a lot of energy every couple of seconds.

  15. It's because every build needs to be tested by Sony/MS before they can go live, which happens in batches, so the builds need to be really good before DE wants to send them in. Add to that the holidays and some of the bugs they really need to have fixed for those builds and you'll know why the build still hasn't been submitted yet.

You get a better build at the cost of getting it later.

  16. Only thing I can think of is that you were in a squad that did a Syndicate alert (daily) for a Syndicate that negatively influences your standings for Arbiters. Or of course it could be a bug.

  17. The only reason+solution I heard for something like this:

    - You were in a clan, but are no longer in a clan

    - That clan was busy researching colours and you have some pigments

    - Now you can't open inventory: the solution is to join a clan again, possibly one that can research colours (has tenno labs)

If point 1 does not describe your situation, then no clue.

    edit due to reply :)
