  1. Playing the mission for the first time; the fog was definitely a good design choice imo.  Opens up a lot of possibilities that DE doesn't take.  With the decreased visibility, it should be easier to instill a sense of panic, be it by jumpscares with surprise spawns from the ceiling or something else.

  2. In the absence of unique mechanics or obscene damage, current dagger speeds are unacceptable.

Current dagger stats as a whole are a matter of wonder for me as to how they ever got past the developers.  While anybody could speak to the fast nature of short blades as well as their reputation for high critical hits, the fact that they move similarly to weapons like the Scindo and Fragor is slightly maddening in itself.

  3. I don't see the appeal of a weapon that requires me to zoom in, place a shot, zoom back out, and then begin shooting when I could use one that allows me to possibly kill a target with the first zoomed shot or at least begin shooting at the moment of contact.

  4. I feel similarly to the Karyst.  It is beyond me that daggers seem to have similar stats to weapons like greatswords and hammers.  What needs to be done is a complete rework of the weapons.

I would imagine such a rework boosting attack speed, critical chance, and critical damage amongst other things.

  5. I'm sure this has already been said, but could not resist posting a little something upon reading the title.

All turbulence is designed to do is reduce the amount of shots that hit you and thus the amount of damage you take, rather than block it completely.  A simple look at Zephyr's nonstatus as a tank frame would serve to point towards this.

Not to mention DE's general swath of destruction against any and all godmode abilities.

  6. If Warframe had focused on its lore since the beginning, we'd be playing in a universe where the nigh-extinct Tenno wouldn't be able to easily wipe hundreds of enemies fighting solo.  In short, it all makes for a cartoony atmosphere that I can't take seriously on a deeper level of gameplay.

At surface value, it's a third person shooter with seemingly little defining it besides the warframes themselves.

  7. MR11 Player here, with many questions dogging me for ages.  Here's one.

The mastery experience system has long encouraged players to try new weapons, some which end up being keepers and others immediate sells upon level 30.  I want to be able to try out older forgotten weapons and to build unconventional weapon sets.  However, we've long reached a point in the game where a fresh catalyst-less and forma-less weapon at level 30 is still weak and far from an accurate depiction of where and how far the weapon can go.

At the same time, Catalysts and forma are finite resources and while forma can be farmed up at the void, using it resets weapon level and necessitates more mindless grinding.  In the event that the weapon truly doesn't go very far, using either resource is either a waste of costly catalysts or time spent grinding forma and leveling the weapon over and over.

I'm curious to know what the rest of the community resorts to in leveling weapons, how they determine which weapons are worth an upgrade, how much worth they place in upgrade resources, etc. etc.  Also, do people forma before catalysting?  I seem to believe that a weapon is truly nothing without a catalyst, then formas come afterwards.  A view that may soon need to be revised.

In the meantime, I'm currently equipping a Grakata, Kraken, and Karyst, all of which are uncatalysted and unformaed.  Along with a large part of my arsenal, I'm at a loss as to if these weapons deserve the upgrades that I wish to apply after wasting a catalyst on a Tetra.

  8. Assuming she's a biological entity, I'm more interested in putting a bullet between her eyes just to see what would happen afterwards.

A splinter Tenno faction?  Perhaps one that attempts to bring back the old ways of the Orokin empire instead of looting it as the Tenno of the present.  A return to old ways and a conquering of the system instead of a misguided attempt to balance and perpetuate the current factions, mindless to our pasts.

  9. Except no zoom, but nah who uses zoom on a Tigris ?!

Exactly. It's a shotgun, so who cares if it doesn't have a zoom function?

The inability to zoom with a shotgun with a tight bullet spread doesn't make sense to me.  While also providing an advantage to those who wish to use this weapon at range, I personally cannot use weapons that cannot zoom to any sort of effectiveness that I may achieve with access to more precision aiming, Quanta included.

Is clicking twice that hard? But then again, burst weapons never made much sense to me anyway.

Clicking twice at the same rate a single normal click under the Duplex-Auto system would not be easy, considering how quickly a single click can discharge both barrels.  Clicking twice would more than likely elongate the length of time spent firing both barrels, which would in turn lengthen the intervals between shooting and lower dps.

  10. This belongs in Players helping Players.

    1. Give the Tigris a shot.  If you can get over the firing mechanic, this is a love or hate weapon.  That or I've modded up a boar prime with maximum rank fire-rate mods.  I don't know if this is exactly an effective weapon, but hell is it fun.  When I'm not reloading, because you'll be doing that a lot.

    2. Marelok if you can't grind up the Brakk.

    3. The Gorgon has long been powercreeped, and as far as I know, the Supra is also in needing of a buff to bring it up to heavy weapon status.  I don't recommend you get the Supra now.I'd recommend primary weapons, but seeming as you've gotten used to even the Dera, I'm not exactly sure what you look for in a weapon.  I haven't seen someone use the Dera in uncounted ages, actually.

  11. Since this sort of thing has no precedent in the Warframe universe, the devs have much leeway in where they want to take this concept.  For the most accurate view, we'll just have to wait and see as more information is revealed.

I'm personally also concerned with the realism of the new outer-space fighting.  Not only will they need to somehow explain or account for the warframe's seeming invulnerability in the shield/health draining vacuum of space, but assuming that warframes have beyond doubt proven vulnerable to small-arms fire, I see little reason why they should last the slightest of seconds against spacefaring ship-grade weaponry.

  12. tell me exemples that it s a broken system, i don t see any thing wrong about it and i have fun doing it

...Just off the top of my head.

Combos take too long to execute for too little reward, and are often interrupt-able as a result.

    a. This exposes the player for too long a period of time, endangering any attempts at stealth, poking doubt into DE's claim that this new melee system would bring the ninja back into warframe.  Not to mention that against higher difficulties, enemies that survive long enough into a long combo may begin returning fire whilst you are still swinging if not stunned, which endangers stealth when trying to use a stealth weapon.

    b. The tedium and little return for executing combos is why many players simply default to the same "E" spamming as before U13.  While "E" hotkey settings may vary, such spamming still exists and displaces the very combos that DE put their work into making.

    c. Balance/incentive issues have never been addressed for using melee.  It is still often much more efficient to default to using guns, as why should a player expose him/herself to direct enemy contact when distance engagement is possible?  Against the Grineer and Corpus, the player pits themselves against singular targets, requiring running into gunfire to traverse from one target to another.  Against the Infested, the player is pitting a sword against some dozens of claws, muscular arms, and tentacles.

I use melee on occasion as well, but hardly ever do I ever use the combos.  As with the Silva and Aegis, melee weapons for me are a sheer novelty to bolster the aesthetics of a certain frame or to just muck around.  If I wanted to kill something, I'd equip a strong primary weapon.
