  1. So, I don't actually know if I should be posting that here or in Players helping Players, so forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.

The thing is, we have a dude in our clan that's deaf. Pretty cool dude, awesome player. Knew the guy for years, then introduced him to Warframe. But since he's, well, deaf, he can't quite watch the devstreams without losing almost every single bit of info that goes during them. Last week he couldn't enter the Hub because of that.

So, what I wanna ask is... Does Twitch have any kind of closed captions option? Is that viable? Just guessing here, but I do think my bro's not the only deaf guy playing around here.

    Thanks in advance, guys.

  2. Dropping from the new enemies probably would broaden too much, which kinda defeat the purpose of them peing rare. Turning them in uncommon drops in Invasions/Outbreaks, though, would do just fine. It's kinda like what we have with Lephantis. Maybe a little broader. Making them drop from Phorid would be good too, but in this case, it would need to be a sure drop, or things wouldn't be much better than they are now.

  3. So, I did the quest and finished event (best event so far, and I've been around for almost 2 years by now). And I did my preparations to construct Mesa. Except the coordinates are battle payment only. From outbreaks. And there's no telling if they WILL be awarded even if outbreaks do occur.

We don't have a frame this limited since freaking Vauban. Most people who have Mesa by now are the cashers, because most of us weren't even able to enter Alad's mission 3 times, and even those who did might not have gotten all the parts in single tries.

It's not cool, guys. Totally not cool. Because it's limiting. It's "either you wait until an outbreak actually give them as battle payment, or you scratch your pocket and buy it".

It would be cool if more ways to acquire Alad's coordinates were introduced. So I actually have a suggestion. Why not making them similar to Lephantis'? Instead of "will only be rewarded as battle payment", why not making them drop inside outbreak missions? This way, you can mantain them somewhat rare (since outbreaks are not constant) while making the frame accessible to all players.

Would probably be more rewarding than just "pray that one of the nodes do reward it".

  4. Welcome. :D
Decided to open this, since I have LOTS of unused mods and parts here that some of you guys probably could give some use.
Best way to reach me is probably Steam (username El Radón), but you can PM me here or ingame as well. I'm usually online around 5PM EST.

Thanks for the business in advance. =3

  5. With so many valuable rewards such as Specters, keys, consummables and of course, mods, unblockabe sigils doing the exact same as the first one sounds... Pointless. There's not too much to discuss here. They cost way too much in Standing and they have absolutely no difference from the first one. Why spending Standing with Sigils when we can just gun for the better rewards?

Boosting Standing gain or Warframe stats in a way similar to Auras or even other innate mods, like Power Damage or Duration, would all be fair game. As it stands, there's absolutely no motivation to even bother with them.

EDIT: I think it's worth adding, as many of my fellow Tenno did here, apart from the Sigils being totally ignorable, the whole thing is way too tiresome. When you do around 20-100 points each mission, and around a thousand of them for 50 waves of Void Defense III, you pretty much know that grinding has became excessive. Giving the Sigils a way to boost Standing gain would be an excellent way to mitigate that.

  6. So, let's talk about melee.

When the melee 2.0 came, everyone went batS#&$. It was what people was waiting for: the chance to go full ninja on every single thing in the game without having to even think about touching a firearm throughout the mission. The combo counter multiplier was a GREAT asset, allowing someone to go as far as soloing Pluto missions with a Skana.

Yet we don't see that many people favoring melee nowdays.

While simply adding more enemies to each stage or simply quickening their spawn rate might seem like a good alternative, it's not so viable in the higher levels, where their concentrated damage can tear your shields and health swiftly. Thus, as things are right now, there are a select few frames that can make full use of those mechanics. TeleportStorm Ash, Duration/Slash Excalibur, Range/Disarm Loki, Hysteria Valkyr, Speed Volt and a few Mag and Rhino Prime builds are about the only ones. Most of the others end up having to rely heavily on spin dashing (which most of us might know as "coptering") or specific Stances that can propel them - which in turn limits the weapon selection. But, generally speaking, it all falls down to one single detail:

The combo counter's multiplier resets WAY too fast for the number of enemies in a determined tileset. If you are not fighting Infested, have a high-mobility Frame, or a weapon with a good distance in spin dash, you won't have enough time before your multiplier resets. Hell, even if you ARE encased in one of the above cases, you might still just lose it. The way it is right now, it's more of a "let's punish you for clearing the area of enemies" situation than it is "let's reward you for your nice timing and enemy stringing ability.

    So here's my suggestion:

Is there anyone here familiarized with BlazBlue? I'd like to draw everyone's attention to this video, which I think would be the solution to our multiplier woes.

Ignore overheating and other minor details, what I want to highlight abot it is that Amane's Drive skill, "Spiral", levels up the more he hits the oponent with it. Sounds similar to our multiplier, right? But that's where it diverges - Amane's Drive has a gauge that fills the more Drive attacks he can connect. If he goes some time without hitting an opponent with a Drive attack, the gauge starts diminishing, and, eventually, it gets back to zero. The higher the gauge, the faster it drains. THAT's what we could use here.

Instead of resetting the combo count entire as soon as 4 seconds happen, we could instead change it so that starting 4 seconds, the counter would revert and drain, going back in numbers and reducing the multipliers. The higher the combo count, the faster it would drain, but as multipliers are lost, the draining speed would also drop. This way, players could mantain their combo counts and multipliers for longer bouts of time, and we could mantain higher counts challenging without being punishing.

    What do you guys think?

  7. Last weapon introduced in that category was the Obex, way back in update 10.7 - almost an entire year ago. I kinda think that instead of creating too many new weapon archetypes, you guys could start revisiting the underused ones, like Sparring, Fists, Staffs, Daggers... We have way too many Swords and Dual Swords - give them a break for some time.
