  1. We'll see if the imbedding likes me today, this is my little short for the contest. No ideas, fresh piece of equipment and the only thing good you have is kunai? Well damn, there is a perfectly good idea right there. Remember to crank it up to 1080p at least, I did upload it that high for a reason~

  2. ...I had cheat engine open which I planned to use on the game...

Somehow "no reason" doesn't quite match what I was thinking for the thread title. For those using legit third party software provided by companies such as but not exclusively Razor to cut lag, sure, but that is a no-go if they look at your posts and your activity. Doesn't matter if it is solo play, you are playing an MMO to which you will have interaction with other people at some given point, whether they implement new elements such as raids or trading, you as a cheating player are mingling with the rest of the populous at some given point in time.

    *Snip*

Cookie to you, stranger, I completely forgot that weapon existed, all the more funny considered the OP's original mentioning.

    ---

More on topic, though, what if the gun did have a charged attack and it was the equivalent of lightning? I still have yet to get my Tesla cannon and a weapon with more than one dimension would be nice. And not in the sense of using the same primary fire for tagging allies with poisonous clouds. Anyway, shall stop spamming.

  4. I'd rather have a bolt shotgun... because y'know... originality and stuff.

Because bolt weapons are the intrinsic quality of originality, lol. The Boltor isn't a sci-fi version of the APS underwater rifle at all and a shotgun firing oversized flechette rounds would be so much better in terms of originality. Would remind me of Quake.

I'm sure he was simply making an example anyway.

I'd be one for a Corpus shotgun of some kind, obviously something more of a wave-base than a pellet-base if it can be incorporated somehow. More diverse the armory the better and it could introduce more enemies other than Corpus tech to the front lines who may be intimidating to a degree. Wouldn't be surprised if the developers already had this in mind but I'll still upvote it.

  5. When will we see new art assets and game elements exclusive to the Infested faction on the same scale of Grineer and Corpus exclusives?

    Examples:
A tileset featuring a vessel so utterly corrupted with parasitic life that the infestation gives said vessel the illusion of being a living, organic ship where the Tenno must squelch through fleshy floors and seemingly breathing corridors and rooms.

Or whilst moving down a windowed hallway on a station/ship you find Infested breaking in from the outside and crawling through the broken windows once the room had equalized with the exterior (however that would happen, more to force the player into a quick combat zone and needing to seal the room back up as quickly as possible to prevent more from entering and from the vacuum damage from killing said players as this would be a coop-exclusive occurrence like the shocking latchers).

Or, lastly, seeing the distilled results of the infestation itself as a possible enemy, what the Infested would evolve to appear as without being host dependant. The eyes, the spidery arms or simply being globs. No idea what they could appear to look like but there is bound to be some rendition (like the necromorphs did at some given point in time).

  6. Okay, I'll bite. Did you happen to flip an additional page or two in the shop to find there were blueprints for these items as well which are purchasable with credits?

You need to make advanced weapons, those platinum prices are for fast-obtaining the items and pretty much a ripoff. I don't know anyone who bought items directly from the store, you simply need to obtain the blueprints and build them.

  7. Apart from a few spelling mistakes and grammatical errors it was good, more of a single person's perspective.

On side note, as G3rman pretty much said, those vets who stuck around post-Stormbringer were back on top within a couple hours, I even obtained better equipment than before simply due to being able to fuse a fair amount of Rare 10 fusion cores into every mod I found appealing - wish I waited for when the prices fixed, I must admit - but all in all I don't see why everyone is crying so much. It is a good change, mods were the only important aspect of the old system and it was stale.

But interesting post all the time, new players should bring interesting insight.

  8. Don't listen to the crying children in the general forum; many of them fail to realize in the time it takes them to make, watch and reply to a thread they could have obtained some of their power back to their previous standard if not stronger. Loving the weapon mod minmaxing, managing to one-shot pretty much everything below 45 is lovely and obtainable on the first day of the release with the aid of a few fusion cores and a small sum of money (being 200k).

Keep up the excellent work, DE! I'm impressed with what you have done with the mod system - expanding it to being the universal aspect of upgrading - it feels fresh and furthermore /unique/.
