  1. Can you shed any light on operator/focus improvements? Right now, going into operator mode is pretty cool (but a little laggy most of the time), but the operator dies so fast, does so little damage, and has so little energy, that the only thing that they are really useful for is intercepting kuva clouds. I would love to be shredding things as a warframe, then pop out as the operator and let loose with some WTFOMG void voodoo then go back to being the warframe. I get the feeling that operator mode is supposed to be a glass cannon thing, but I am kinda missing the "cannon" part. In general, the operator looks cool, but feels really weak, aren't the tenno (as in the tenno themselves, not the warframes) supposed to be some kind of void infused being that is so powerful that even the orokin were afraid of them?

  2. Like the title says, I'm looking for quanta rivens.

But first things first. My definition of God tier is +Damage and +Multishot at MINIMUM. And of course, the better the riven the more I'll pay. Any riven that does not have these stats I will consider to be trash tier because I am just going to reroll it anyway.

    Prices:

    Trash tier: 25-45 plat

God tier: make an offer  (don't worry I won't bite)

Feel free to pm me here or in game anytime. Also feel free to send a friend request. And, most importantly, feel free to haggle.

Thanks for reading,  and have a nice day.

  3. What? Did you just read the first paragraph part of my suggestion then stop? lol

    Alrighty...here it is.

    -------------------------------------------------

Let's say, hypothetically, that DE wants Rhino to fullfill a tank role as much as any other frame in warframe currently does. And operating under the idea that you want this to happen even at the end game/trail level verses level 80 enemies...

I'm going to provide one idea of how that might work.

Disclaimer: The specific numbers used are for illustrative purposes only. The important thing to note is the proposed mechanics.

Rhino's ability to tank hinges on his capacity to initiate (primarily charge), survive incoming damage (base stats and iron skin) and impede enemy action (charge and stomp) by disrupting them. Additionally he has roar to increase the damage output for himself and the team.

The announced upcoming changes are solid, but without a direct change to his defensive capability they will not be enough to make him a tank.

For Rhino's stats, I'd raise his base armor to 350.

For a relatively simple yet directed fix to iron skin. It would work as follows-

    • Rhino hardens his skin to create a reinforcing buffer with 500 / 700 / 1000 / 1500 Armor-based hitpoints. While the buffer is active, Rhino becomes immune to damage and Status Effects. Iron Skin will expire when the buffer's hitpoints are depleted.Total amount of Iron Skins hitpoints is affected by Power Strength.
    • Iron Skin acts as separate layer of protection over Rhino's health and shields. Iron Skin adds 100 percent of Rhino's total armor value including Steel Fiber, the effects of Iron Clad Charge and any other friendly buffs that would increase Warframe armor..
    • While Iron Skin is active: any attack rhino does on an enemy will inflict the "taunted" status effect on that enemy. This will cause them to focus all of their attention on rhino for 5 seconds. Each enemy affected by the taunt effect will increase the percentage that Iron Skin gains from his total armor by 2/4/8/10 percent (maybe more?). This affect stacks but cannot exceed a 200 (maybe 300, 400?) percent total armor increase. That percentage is effected by power strength mods. The duration of the taunt effect is affected by duration mods. This means that the more enemies rhino has focused on himself the more durable he is. Note: By "Any attack rhino does I am referring to whoever he shoots, hits with melee or effects with one of his powers. Literally any attack that rhino does. This allows him to pick and choose to taunt enemies one by one or in groups as he the need arises.
    • The taunt effect caused by attacks done while iron skin is active will be immediately disbanded when iron skin breaks or if it is manually deactivated by iron shrapnel. Note that the enemies formally aggro'ed will not necessarily attack a different target, they are simply no longer forced to attack Rhino and will target enemies as usual.

Some thoughts on why I went with this design-

My goal is to increase Rhino's capability to be an effective tank as long as he applies thought and effort to do so properly.

Another goal is that Rhino's defensive aspects don't simply protect him alone, but protects allies as well by drawing fire away from them.

This is meant to directly reward rhino's attempts to protect allies by granting him greater durability for doing so.

as well as work re-actively with the situation. The more you need it, the more you get it principal.

Yet another goal is to give rhino a tanking mechanic that isn't just a rehash of one of some other frames power mechanic.

Also, by having Iron Skin scale off of total armor, the players can create team compositions that take advantage of frames who buff armor.

Disclaimer: The specific numbers used are for illustrative purposes only. The important thing to note is the proposed mechanics.

For those who see the base numbers and think they sound extremely high, I suggest you look at the wiki's actual numbers on other frames defensive buff skills. Like Chroma (Vex Armor) , Valkyr (Hysteria), trinity (Link&Blessing) and Frost (Snowglobe).

it is often startling to realize that these other defensive measures are several times as sturdy as sturdy as rhino is currently.

Not to mention what Mesa (shatter shield), Zephyrs (turbulence), and Mirages (Eclipse) can do when used properly.

Even Nekros, with his shield of shadows mod achieves a surprisingly high level of resilience.

The curve of who is tough and who is not has seriously shifted.

    Thank you for reading.

This is great, applying rhino's armor to iron skin will definitely make it a lot better, esp if his base armor gets buffed.

  4. That's why there's another build that focuses around CC and buffs but sacrifices power strength including Iron Skin too. Which is also why DE didn't change Iron Skin cause they see this trade off as balanced.

In that case, DE is mistaken. Iron skin should have some use, power strength or not, building for CC should not completely neuter an ability.

  5. Then we go back to the original point I was discussing with Culaio. Where we must sacrifice one thing to gain another. The OP's build sacrifices everything except for maximization of efficiency and power strength which strengthens Iron Skin as high as possible making it viable endgame, it also increases Roar which can be used to boost the damage of Rhino Stomp significantly but only for a short duration. Should you want a different build you must sacrifice that kind of Iron Skin and power strength.

Again we must sacrifice one thing for another as it seems like we can never have both, unless DE allows otherwise.

If you do not build for large amounts of strength, then iron skin is so feeble that it's not useful. I know that we shouldn't be able to have the best of both worlds so to speak, but even if I don't spec for strength, iron skin should serve some use instead of being dead weight. My suggestion may have not been the best, but we need some change to make it useful even when not modding for strength. That said, high power strength should still make it better, not godlike, but better.

  6. Also it's not endgame if you don't go that far, plus if the changes that you suggested actually happened, imagine how ridiculously strong players like the OP would become, though this is probably why he didn't want to go with the armor scaling.

That's why I didn't post exact numbers and percentages. My intention was to have iron skin incorporate health/armor to some degree. Maybe it would be a bit overpowered, but it's a starting point for discussion. Since iron skin is hp based, it doesn't scale well. There needs to be a way (other than devoting 3 while mod slots to power strength) to make iron skin more useful across all levels of play. And yes, I know that theoretically you can spam it of you go for efficiency, but when you are getting it one shotted off of you and trading into account that the casting animation leaves you vulnerable (yes I know that the casting animation is fast, but that bit of time can be very important) iron skin is kinda lacking. If they would increase cast speed, or better yet allow you to cast it while moving, that would help, but it wouldn't fix everything tho.

  7. So you are satisfied with all the other changes other than the Iron Skin. Well the OP did it based on his build as you could see on his second post on the first page, the OP probably though that adding the armor scaling to Iron Skin would make it too strong which is why he suggested Iron Skin's damage HP which is currently based on Ferrite Armor HP to take on a different armor element like alloy armor or a mixture of the two or even something entirely new just for the Iron Skin.

When I said that I was satisfied with the changes I ment the ability changes. OP's stay changes are ridiculous and would make rhino way overpowered. As for my suggestion, my idea was to have it scale off of a percentage of armor/health modified by power strength. Also, a frame's abilities and stats should never be based off of one build. OP's build is nice, but it did not mean that rhino should be balanced around ONLY that build.

  8. It would seem to me that both sides are a bit at fault here, one dislikes how people overlook the OP and the other details and mistakes them for people who don't care, and the other dislikes how the OP disregards the comments of others and simply takes it as "you either agree with me or you leave". Such a thing infuriates both sides but do try to keep an open mind and try to understand each other. As you have said earlier this topic might have gone somewhere, if you still believe that then you suggest the changes or make a new thread entirely if you are truly serious about this.

    Very well then.

The changes that Rebecca talked about sound good, the changes that OP is suggesting sound good as well (except for iron skin).

My suggestion for iron skin is to have it calculate it's hp based off of armor and/or health (power strength will still play a part, but just not as big). That way as rhino himself becomes tougher, so does iron skin. I think that this would give out a different flavor from shatter shield and vex armor while also giving it a bit of a buff.

The build that OP posted for iron skin is ok, but I don't think that an ability should require you to go THAT far in order to make it useful.

  9. And for those of you arguing about Iron Skin needing scaling please read this part right here^

I wouldn't have to point this out if you people actually play Rhino and know how to build him properly, which is why I disregard some of your opinions, the same way you choose to skip reading through this before posting. =/

I see now. This post is of the mindset "agree with me or don't post at all." Thought this post might actually go somewhere, cause the OP was pretty good. Oh well then, just another "look at me im so good" thread.

Yeah, I've red your OP... so you sneaked in to change your OP - great, and now you are acting like Im not reading carefully enough? Well, this isnt funny anymore. -.-

EDIT: Your suggested buffs to Rhino Prime are still hell of a joke. This cant be serious.

    Also this.

  10. But with your way he technically takes damage directly now and is vulnerable to energy drain auras and etc.

So unless you can argue on why making his Iron Skin just like Valkyr's Hysteria, would be better I am going to disregard your opinion.

Disreguarding opinions is a bad thing. If that is all you were going to do then why post and ask for opinions? Anyway, I agree with Buzkyl, iron skin NEEDS some kind of scaling, right now it just gets blown away way too easily (at higher levels). Iron skin needs something to keep it useful at all levels of play.
  11. Maybe give the tank frame a buff in armor then it'll be perfect.

This. Excal now has more armor than frost and rhino. Since rhino is the "heaviest" warframe, he should have more armor. Buff armor to around 450-500 (maybe too high, but being so bulky you would think that he should have a sizeable amount of armor).
  12. Right, feedback time.

1: Slash dash is is so good now: it inherits melee mods, it chains from enemy to enemy, and enemies that survive are knocked down, and on top of that you can use it for mobility. I don't see any problem with this one.

2: Radial blind can be cast on the move leaving you way less vulnerable than it did before, and stunned enemies are open to finishers. The only thing is that since the stun is kinda short, maybe reduce energy cost a tiny bit. Like reduce it be 5 energy or something.

3: Radial javelin: Well this is definitely the weak spot with this excal revamp. Radial javelin does not inherit melee mods, so it is kinda weak. Also, the stun part of it is redundant since radial blind stuns enemies for longer, costs less energy, and leaves them open to finishers. So what can we do to fix it? well give it some kind of buff/debuff effect. Excal is supposed to be balanced, a frame that has a little bit of everything, but he doesn't have a buff or debuff ability (stuns not included). So for example, radial javelin could debuff armor, for it could reduce movement speed, or it could have some kind of shield or health leech effect to it. the bottom line is that it needs something more. As it stands now, there is no real reason to use it, radial blind stuns better, and slash dash does a ton more damage.

4: Exalted blade: Excal draws a lightsaber-katana and goes to town on enemies. It inherits melee mods, auto blocks, and shoots energy waves. The only thing i can find wrong with it is that the auto block can leave you in a pickle since it eats up your stamina. If you have been blocking then exalted blade deactivates, then you are in trouble since you don't have any stamina to run away with. This seems like a bug since its not supposed to do this.

Overall the new excal is excellent. The only real problem is radial javelin, it still feels out of place, and excal's other abilities make it redundant and largely useless.

  13. I use them wisely and not hit button mindlessly without thinking and then being all whiny when it doesnt play the game for me,

see i come from a day when we used to have to work at games and S#&$ wasn't handed to us on silver platters

    nyx bolts are fine,

could be better, could be worse

LIKE EVERYTHING IN EVERY GAME EVER

but if you put in the time tinker, with mods, tinker with playstyles and really put some thought into it

    its amazing

but thats the case for literally everything in game

people are always saying this isnt good or this needs a buff

sure it could be better but stating its useless means your not trying hard enough

everything in game can be made useful

now is it all gonna be nova '4 and boltor prime modded to perfection levels of good

    no

but thats not what games are about nor should everything be that good

    and if it was

these people would whine about that then

no pleasing them they like to whine over nothing

im not gonna hand anyone my setup to use nyx bolts effectively

figure it out and put some time into it

    like i did

    like your freaking supposed to

this is like the people who whine no new weapon nothing to do in this update

    then they get one

take it to draco or wherever

    max it out for mastery

    and never touch it again

and whine they have nothing to do

    gee i wonder why

Yeah....this is not helpful, but then again raging seldom ever is

  14. Here's how blind capture targets behave after the changes:

And to people worried about the enemies shooting blind I think you can relax:

I'm not sure but I think the firing sounds of their teammates are actually confusing them!

Finally -- if you plan on using blinding powers a lot it might be better to bring a Kubrow instead of a sentinel -- tactical choices!

This plus the radial blind tweaks coming with excal's rework seems like it may have CC potential than I initially thought. If it works right it will definitely give more of an incentive to go melee.

  15. If you increase damages you encourage Chroma over to DPS. He should be support. Why not increase range of weapons depending upon our energy color?

For example, you take Glaxion (based on freeze damages) and Chroma with freeze elemental -> range of your Glaxion will be increased.

Another one, you take Synapse (based on electricity damages) and Chroma with electricity elemental -> range of your Synapse will be increased.

    Same to Ignis etc.

Or boost damages of your weapons according to base damages.

With an Acrid, you got gaz and electricity you boost electricity depending upon Chromas's energy color etc.

This sounds like a cool idea. I'm just hoping that DE somehow finds a way to make spectral scream good, I mean he is a dragon. It is just too bad that one of the more iconic draconic traits that he has (dragon breath) is just plain bad at the moment. And yes I know that effigy can use a breath attack, but it would be cool if chroma himself could have a effective (but different) version as well.

  16. More DPS? Chroma isn't a WF intended to make dmg so add more dmg..Not rly good :/

So if spectral scream is not supposed to be a damage ability, then what is it supposed to do? If not damage, them maybe buff the range, give it punchthrough like ignis has, and have a super high (or guaranteed) proc rate.

Its just that as it is now, it looks and sounds cool, and that's about it.

  17. I want MR16 required weaponry or higher.

    Uhhhhhh.....how about no.

Do you know how long it takes to go from MR0 to MR16? WAYYYY TOO LONG.

Imagine you are a new player, you see a MR16 weapon. You play for a while, then you are like "I gotta grind mastery for that long to get that weapon?" I remember grinding for MR7 to get the supra (back when it was good). It took forever (mind you I was grindin like crazy). MR7 or 8 locked weapons is plenty high enough.

  18. With the new limbo nerfs, can it be made clear EXACTLY what limbo can and cannot interact with in the rift. Also why can limbo not interact with things like hacking panels while in the rift while things like bombard rockets and eximi auras can still affect limbo in the rift? Also what is limbo's playstyle supposed to be like? ex. loki's playstyle is to use invis to avoid being shot or use radial disarm to take guns away. Other than individually banishing and taking out enemies individually, limbo has a hard time taking out enemies. For example if you banish a group of high lvl grineer with cataclysm what will most likely happen? Chances are since the rift offers no CC (slow, stagger, some proc of some kind, etc.) the grineer will proceed to shred limbo since he is about as tough as a wet napkin. Don't get me wrong, I am not mad. I love limbo's concept, shifting between planes of existence is a really cool concept, it just seems that limbo doesn't have as much of a role to play as other frames.

  19. Yeah...that is is sooooooooooooooooooo constructive. #sarcasm

Edit: I get your point, but try a less aggressive post next time, and try to at least come up with one idea to fix it.

  20. While limbo's abilities give him the power to avoid damage easily, he just cannot deal large groups of enemies very well. For example, you are rift walking, then you see a nice bunched up group of grineer. You cast rift surge then cataclysm on the grineer. Now what would happen next? well the grineer will open fire, and since limbo is about as sturdy as a wet napkin, he takes a lot of damage. But you say, "He can just shift to the other plane to avoid damage." Fair enough, but then what now? They cant hurt you, but you cannot hurt them either. Limbo NEEDS some kinda CC/debuff that will give him the time to at least a little damage, but as it stands now unless you are uber-ninjaing all over the place you be torn to shreds, and if you have the skillz necessary to uber-ninja all over the place and avoid damage the old-fasioned way, then what is the point of the rift plane?

bit of a spoiler: there's an Augment for Cataclysm coming that will do just that. :)

This is good news but Limbo needs to have to have some kinda of innate CC built into his abilities (or the rift plane itself) right off the bat. Putting it into an augment just feels like a band aid fix.

  21. You get Dex Dakra this year, and those who didn't have the game on their platform last year, get the Dex Furis (and Dakra) this year. How is that a problem?

    this

I don't really mind as long they don't release Excalibur Prime :)

    also this

We were actually told that it was a Limited Time item.  As in: not exclusive.
