The game as a whole is a grind, and kuva is no different. Also you are not in the minority having to reroll 40-50 times at least. That's fairly common, especially since there can be quite a few combinations. Getting the exact combination you want is a lot of time doing floods and kuva survivals, and then you blow it all right after trying to get a better roll. You have to consider the chances statistically though. While I'm no statistics expert, I know that the chances of getting CC, CD, Multi and a acceptable negative like status duration, zoom, dmg to infested or what have you, is going to be really really tough.

I've settled on almost perfect with my lanka riven, in fact, while I focus on my rubico riven (I was doing this prior to prime and it's good I snapped up a rubico riven fairly cheap with what they are selling for now. Mine was just for versatility capping eidolons.)

I really like kuva survivals personally. I wasn't a fan of running planet to planet for kuva, I like staying in one mission, so it's nice.

It is most definitely nice being able to stick to one mission. I do like that they gave an option for endless, and I'm not talking just going for the god roll of god rolls. Theres only been two rolls ive settled on - an Azima and a dmg multi Kohm i got when rivens were first released otherwise literally everything else I've tried to roll has been absolute trash until 30+ rolls in. And again when youre someone that uses many many different weapons you spend so much time just trying to get a good roll on it. I spend more time getting a half decent roll than I do using them.

  2. Imagine you've just gotten a riven for your favorite weapon, or maybe one thats great for this or that (the Lanka, for example, at the time of writing this is great for Eidolon hunting). Maybe you bought it unrolled or got lucky and unveiled it...maybe you were short on platinum, not able to buy a "god roll" and bought one with high rolls? Whatever happened that landed your sought after riven in your lap, you now have to farm for kuva.

But...what if you're one of the unlucky few like me who has to reroll your beloved riven 30...40...50 times (more even) to get that roll you're looking for? You can't even get up to the 10th roll with an hour long run on Taveuni using a resource booster and the Smeeta kavat. The max I have personally been able to reach with an hours work there is just short of 17,000 kuva. 10 rolls from an unrolled is 19,950 kuva, and every roll starting at roll 9 is 3,500 kuva per roll, as we all know.

One hour...thats alot of time that can be put towards...ANYTHING else! What do you get from one hour at Taveuni? Four rolls, five if you're really lucky. Yeah, there is the floods and sihpons that spawn on the planets around the Kuva Fortress; but even from a flood the most you can get is two rolls with the most luck possible doing it.

You can spend days doing nothing but farming kuva before you get that roll you've been seeking on your riven, just to have to do it all over again on the next one. And if you're someone like me who doesn't like using the same 3 weapons for EVERYTHING (isn't that why rivens were added in the first place? USING OTHER WEAPONS), you run into having to do it for an unspecified number of other rivens.

For the last two weeks I have done the flood/s available, done a 1 hour Taveuni run, rinsed and repeated to reroll a few different rivens with 30+ rolls on all of them and still the have some of the worst possible rolls on each one of them. I've even given a few of them to a real world friend to roll for me because he tags along and doesnt need the kuva right now. It is honestly starting to push me away from Warframe.

I wouldn't even be able begin to contemplate a rework for the rivens/kuva system outside of reducing costs or increasing rewarded kuva...but the system is in need of a serious rework.
