As of now the umbra polarity is limited to Excalibur umbra and skiajati. we can not polarize the other warframes and weapon using forma for umbra polarity.

so it's totally worthless to spend 200k+ endo + 10M credits on ranking up those 5 umbra(quest mods). as we can not get benefit of it on other frames.

There will maybe add more Umbra Frames in the future. Adding extra different polarities just for one frame doesn't make sense.

I love the concept of Zaws.
The only problem is that in the time span they have been around only few new weapon types have been added to the mix...
Given that curtain weapon types are SEVERALLY under represented ( Sword n' Shields, Gunblades, Whips, Claws, and Glavies for example )
Can we expect to get parts to make Zaws of all Melee weapon types? If so, when is this going to be rolling out?

I don't care how good these zaw weapons are. The main Problem is that that they look incredibly awful and cheap. A deformed stick with a little piece of metal, that cost you some 1000 jewels.

So I'm a fairly new player to the game (MR8). I love it. Recently started doing a few trades and I decided to try and buy the Soma Prime for platinum. Got into a guys dojo and all of a sudden he says I have to be MR13 to get his Soma Prime. Well I'm confused because Warframe market and the codex and the wiki all say it's MR7. He got pretty upset and I was explaining that according to the codex that I should be able to buy the weapon. Can someone tell me if he was right or maybe he was trying to sell a different weapon? If everything I go by says MR7 required then what was the issue. Thanks in advance.

Go get the Tenora,it's easy to get. And the pl that you wanted to spend on a Soma Prime Set,you can buy a Tenora Riven instead, which makes it way better.

Pls there alot of ppl who complain abouth kronen prime range.. it has 1.5 m ... this weapon need some love prime ty.

The range is low in every tonfa and there might be a good reason for it. If the range was bigger, everyone would clear entire rooms with it,since tonfas have stronger slide damage. Just like what happened to the Telos Boltace.

So, I don't know if anybody has been using the Boltor Prime recently, but wow is this gun amazing. Before the recent buff it received I believe it had like a 5% crit chance and a 10% status chance (correct me if I'm wrong) but now it has a 12% crit chance and a 30% status chance, and wow is it amazing. I have a dual corrosive and blast build with a 100% status chance, and this thing wrecks. This gun is a prime example of old primes (no pun intended) being revitalized with a solid buff to keep them up with the new content being introduced. Well done on the Boltor DE... Well done.

The tiny Magazine size and long reload makes the weapon more annoying to use. And the Telos Boltor is even better than the Boltor Prime which doesn't make sense at all.

Rivens have broken the platinum markets. You'll need a way to deflate the currency, either by lowering platinum prices or adding a platinum cap. Generally a good riven costs somewhere between 1-4k platinum, that's $50-200. Insane price to be on par, given everybody has the same weapon in a theoretic situation.

Weapons should be the secondary source of fun, but mod prices point toward the other way. Any last patch prime frame costs less than a hundred platinum. There's absolutely no legit way for new players to jump into the train of fun (competitive) playing, unless they score a jackpot in the riven lottery.

You could also make rivens non tradable, or force them to reset to veiled once traded.

Make Rivens not tradeable would be extremely bad. There are more than 300 weapons in this game, getting veiled Rivens would take really long(if they were not tradeable too) and to get a Riven for the weapon you like would be pretty much impossible. If you don't have luck

Covert Lethality is, due to limitations on swearing, a horrible mod. It's potentially the worst melee mod ever in warframe. We JUST got a new dagger stance, is anyone really going to care when we have Covert Lethality which makes every finisher kill 100% lethal? Dagger rivens are completely worthless because Covert Lethality exists. It almost reaches the point of "Why use any other melee? Covert Lethality makes it so everything dies!"

Now aside from just out right removing the mod there are fixes that can be done, simply replacing the part of the mod that makes finishers lethal with either a simple boost to finisher damage, like 200%, or have every melee hit with it have a chance to open the enemy up to a finisher. Or even both. Just remove the 100% lethality from the mod, please.

Side note, make Covert Lethality, once changed, apply to dual daggers as well.

    1. Covert lethality is only good against high level enemies. Daggers with Covert lethality take way too long to clear groups of enemies(if you use it only for finishers), doing long finishers when you could just simply one hit them.

    2. Rivens are NOT useless on Daggers, because additional Attack Speed makes the Daggers finish more quickly.

fire rate and magazine arent that good when the weapon has a tiny spare ammo capacity of 210 :^/

also its def not the best(not that there is much competition in the prime thrown weapon category, since there are only 2 in it), spira p. is better stats wise, the only thing holding it back is the firing pattern

The Hikou Prime is way better than the Spira Prime. Don't just look at the Crit and Status Chance.....The Fire rate is the most important stat= more dps

    The Damage alone doesn't matter.

  11. Am 22.2.2018 um 16:42 schrieb TKDancer:

even after the (somewhat) recent buff it got, its still a really mediocre weapon despite being a prime

28% status while nice, is not enough for a weapon with only 6% crit chance that only has 36 base dmg(of which 85% is puncture dmg)

just give it some crit chance(9% extra for 15% total would be enough) so it can be properly modded as a hybrid secondary

also why the heck does it only have 210 spare ammo??

EDIT: i ALMOST forgot to mention that despite being a rather mediocre weapon, the hikou prime still only has 1/5 riven disposition(likely from when they were 1st introduced and disposition was based on popularity, tho its still weird since it was always weak)

The Hikou Prime has more fire rate and bigger magazine size compared to other throwing weapons. It is even the best prime throwing weapon. Fussilai is still the best throwing weapon and maybe even the best secondary weapon with Riven

Rather than jumping to conclusion on the strength of beam weapons, I decided to jump to the simulacrum to try out the changes.

I have a 6 forma Synapse, with this riven on it :

    https://imgur.com/coBlFeq

For testing purposes, I used Brozime's corrupted test,  with  the caveat that I bumped the level up to 60, which I consider the minimum viable level at which a weapon could be considered to be "viable"

Additionally, I decided to factor in playstyle as well.  For that, I used a max rank, Inaros with no mods, giving me 2200 non-regenerating HP with 200 armor.  I used no shields, no quick thinking +rage. Just that ammount of hp. Then I tried running through the test and staying relatively mobile, and saw how efficiently I could clear.

    The answer is: not very

The Synapse just seems to have gotten the short end of the stick. It's reduced 39% crit chance means that even with a pretty decent riven I still couldn't hit 200% crit chance.

Additionally, its extreme reliance on critical stats means 2 more mandatory mods that have to be slotted in to keep your DPS decent ( PS and VS).

Its unique "+20%headshot damage" seems like the saving grave, and the intended way to use the weapon, but when you factor in the mediocre 20 meter range , this means that on any warframe that can't take hits,  you can't really have a mobile playstyle , and are stuck at relatively close range, holding the beam on the enemies' heads.

On body-shots the kill time is mediocre, the recent ramp up increase to 1 second AND the complete reset back to 10% if the beam loses contact guts its dps.

The final nail in the  coffin comes from its low 13% status chance, which offsets its new corrosive elemental type. I found that even with 2 dual stat mods, I still wasn't stripping armor off enemies fast enough to make drastic increase in kill time.

In the end, I guess a Hunter Munition build would probably work just as efficiently as any other crit weapon. But that's kinda the issues, isnt'it ?

For reference, I was testing my Buzlok, a gun that the vast majority of the community considers trash-garbage. I'm still in the process of testing it, and it, by comparison, has a much weaker riven mod and only 3 forma so far. Needless to say, it pulled off a much better performance , even without using the extra crit chance from the tracking darts Hell, even when blind-firing, with its slow projectiles and high recoil, it still killed off enemies faster than the Synapse.

TL;DR. The Synapse is still overall bad. It's better than before, and nowhere near the sheer horribleness of the Convectrix, but still dissapointing.

To top it all off, the new particle effect for the beam is naff .  I found no way to increase the bloom/alpha on it, and it ended up a semi-transparent stream of mist through most levels's lighting.

EDIT: I find it hilarious that they spent the time and effort of buffing almost every single weapon in the game, but flubbed so hard on some of these. Between the Synapse being some weird close-range-headshot-gun, and the Convectrix having sweeping beams when the entire class of weapons is designed to prevent  you from killing enemies with sweeping beams, makes me legitimately wonder who actually does these chances. ::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh:

You shouldn't follow Brozime, since he's wrong most of the time. Do your own builds and test them.

    First of all Greetings people:

here is Why boar/boar need rework or fix:

1-the reload animation isnt right and the Present reload is for another weapon

2-it need some rework on the status (like A-higher damage\B-higher critical chance etc) because almost all the shotgun is powerful more than boar prime

    3-NO FORMA from the default

4-sometimes it dont give the right output damage

(sorry for my bad english and i hope to see some love for the old weapons)

have good day all of you

You clearly don't know how to use it.

Boar has max Riven Disposition and does a lot of damage.

DE shouldn't do anything to the Boar. There are other weapons that have higher priority.

Yeah but thats the Problem. Overextended, Stretch, Augur Reach, Fleeting Expertise, Streamline, Intensify, Transient Fortitude, Continuity/Constitution/Augur message. Thats 8 Mods. with i guess either power or cunning drift in exilus and corrosive projection in aura. You don't have room for either an Augment nor Defense Mods if we are going with your Recipe here. In other words youll die if a stray bullet hits you. And bear in mind not everyone has access to more rarer mods like fleeting expertise or transient fortitude. so im viewing this from a newcomers angle.

There are other Frames that can do the same thing as ember does just more effectivly like Equinox with Maim. Massive Range and Massive Dmg that you can charge endlessly or in other words. Kill everything there is. Ember is literally the weakest of the Frames that can do that with That i mean AoE dmg. And yet she gets nerfed. Banshee got buffed with the new Augment.

Forget the Augments. Ember was only used for low level missions and you don't die that quickly. There are procs and weapons that give you healing instead.

Are you only looking at Arsenal Stats?

Why would you compare listed attack speed between different class melee weapons?

•Listed Melee attack speed is an animation modifier for that particular melee class

1.00 Hammer Speed is not 1.00 Dual Dagger Speed, nor 1.00 Sparring Speed.

Same with certain Stances having faster attack animations like Twirling Spire vs Bleeding Willow ... Weapon can have the same attack speed but the Stance can change the attack rate because the attack speed is an animation speed modifier.

(Cyclone Kraken vs Sundering Weave is a nother example)*

Dual Daggers Spinning Needle is Condition Overload friendly with a forced Impact proc on every attack but the Okina and Ether Daggers are the better weapons to use in this category due to 15% Status, for ability to Double proc.

Sinking Talon has faster attack animations than Gnashing Payara and Spinning Needle, even though a Dual Dagger weapon will have the same listed Attack speed. (Reiterate that listed Melee Attack speed is a weapon class animation modifier)

Dual Daggers do have innate multi-strike to assist with their DPS, but they suffer from poor hitbox range.

All of this is not really important, as DE is adjusting the  Melee class as a separate MR & stat rework. (Same with continuous weapons not yet getting adjusted: Synoid Gammacor still MR6 while other Syndicate Secondary Guns are MR10)*

You can revisit the weapons after the upcoming melee weapon class tweaks, but most likely the current shortcoming listed in this Thread will not be relevant after Melee Class tweaks.

(Unless they skip over Dual Daggers like Stug, Mutalist Quanta, Acrid...etc)*

Yes. I was only talking about the stats.

On Sparring and Sword&Shield weapon stances the attack speed are noticeable.

Dual Daggers that are as fast as Heavy Blades or hammers statswise,is still not realistic.

You can preview them, though. Just go to your skin/syandana/whatever customisation options in your arsenal, and select from the options which includes every available item you don't own - you will see exactly what each piece looks like on your current frame, with your current colour settings.

I know, but that's not enough you can't for exemple change the colours while using the item. You must go back which is really annoying.

By the time you're getting to higher lvls where inaros cannot survive on his tankiness alone nidus is being 1 shotted and this is also lvl 300+.  And yes nidus live on in stacks but every bullet you take your losing 15.  In this situation inaros has better cc, that not only crowd controls stuff but puts them in a state you can do much more dmg to them, which is important.

In reality though the game is not balanced towards nor does 97% of the player base ever regularly encounter enemies in the 300+ range.   And if you do want to go that long in a survival just do it with ivara who has no limits, even though that is boring.

Not really Nidus has CC just like Inaros, even better and with his 4 and 1 abilities you gain mutation extremely fast.

  19. vor 6 Stunden schrieb Thrymm:

They did, same as they noticed the stats on all the other weapons.  That's why the entire weapon group is getting a look through.

As far as the question WHAT happened to Dual Daggers?, the answer is very simple.  Nothing happened to them.  At all, ever.  That's what weapons looked like before power creep happened---they where actually useful back then and they are still competitive with the other weapons of the same age.  Everything from that era that went untouched is a long way behind the post Soma/Boltor Prime era stuff.

Incidentally, the fang prime has no slash status ability and 3% less status chance(both are nominal on this stat anyway).  Outside of that, it's better or equal in every way compared to the normal fang.  It's faster AND does more damage.  The rifle adjustment was pretty well done, I look forward to the melee version to give weapons like this a chance.

Yes,but right nowthe things changed, it's the normal version that is better than the prime version, because Status and Crit chance are way more important.
