  1. It could be, but I think that's just a side-effect of the mission loading and then... not actually loading. Like the game knows I've started it and thinks I just manually killed my connection or something. Anyway, putting the game in Borderless Windowed has seemed to fix the problem for me so far, but I'll edit if it keeps happening.

  2. Pretty much as the title. While it works fine if I never tab out, after alt-tabbing, usually in a mission or two I get an infinite load screen, stuck at about 70%. This has happened over and over since Fortuna dropped, and didn't happen before the Fortuna update. DE pls fix ☹️

I had my game set to Fullscreen, I'm gonna try it on Borderless Windowed now.

I can also confirm that the infinite load screen will proc your Mastery Rank-up mission should you choose to run it, so... I'll be doing that -tomorrow-, I suppose

  3. I hear that majority of Tenno forces are siding with Grineer for a noble cause of saving out fellow Tenno sleeping in cryopods captured by Corpus. That is indeed a noble cause, except that is absolutely wrong in this situation.

Do you really think Grineer will help you rescue your brethren? They will storm Alad's fortress and hand you the key to cages? No! They will scorch all cryopods the second they see them, and as you will whiteness the horror, Ruk will be already ripping your spine out. When siding with Grineer it says that this option will prevent CORPUS from capturing cryopods, not ALL factions. While Corpus see Tenno as valuable specimen, Grineer only see scrap and flesh that needs to be put on Trial by Fire.

Oh and how could we all forget about the colonies themselves? Not only you help destroy the cryopods, you also condem billions of normal humans to death and suffering. I think the constant fighting had made you forget that normal humans with families and their own struggles even exist. When Grineer take over the Mars, they will enslave men and starve or kill women and children. Little innocent children for Honor's sake!

I am sacrificing my own kind in order to stop the greater evil. And with cryopods being in Corpus hands there is always a chance that we can rescue them. But no! You want to open gates for a horde of tube grunts! Hear me Tenno, the only warframe who will survive the storm would be Her, and oh, she will be mad. So mad at you for doing the stupidest thing in Tenno history, that you will have to hide in your little dojos for years!

I agree with this Tenno, and he receives my +1 as proof, despite his amusing name!

  4.

Earth is a ruined, desolate wasteland. Grineer train their troops there, in the harsh conditions of a dying planet. We have no numbers from Mars. We have no numbers from civilians at all. Spouting the word "billions" does not make you right. Guessing does not make your assessment right. Mars is a harsh planet with unfriendly conditions and relies on outside support to be sustainable - but from where? Earth is burned, gassed, soiled and corrupted. The Blue Planet has turned a sickly green.

Those Tenno are needed .Every Tenno down is a heavy hit. One Tenno means the death of hundreds, thousands and sometimes millions of enemies. Who are you to toss them away like they are already dead? They are not. And while you delude yourself, thinking we can save those "billions", who are already slotted to become your enemy tomorrow, we are still fighting to save them. You are hindering the inevitable. Stop piling up your shame!

You would save those who are slotted to become our enemy... by slaughtering those before them and making their indoctrination a necessity? You would kill Corpus by the thousands, where the Grineer can simply clone and clone? Do you believe the Corpus would throw their crewmen into the grinder if they didn't think it necessary? I doubt they'd be willing to be so wasteful when profit means so much to them. You've proven what a threat the Tenno are, and you are the reason those innocents who live today will be indoctrinated crewmen tomorrow.

(Really is a shame, I wish we had more lore to go by, though! None of us REALLY know how Earth's condition is, nor how many innocents there are, or how strong the Grineer force or the Corpus force is. But still, RP is fun! )

  5.

Deserting Tenno is loyal how? Fighting against the Tenno trying to save them is not betrayal how? You are, indeed, indoctrinated by Corpus fabrications. And how many people do you think are settling in the orbit of Mars - billions? Check again, Tenno.

And you believe the Grineer will stop at Mars? In the present day, we've got a few billion people on Earth alone. Now life exists throughout the solar system. I'm sure the number is in the billions.

Deserting our kin to the Corpus is a sacrifice we do not make lightly, but it is one we -must- make. If we didn't value innocent lives, then why do we fight? Why not hide in the void, or stay in our safe little dojos? You make the Tenno out to be self-serving mercenaries. Maybe you are, but I am not.

(And thank you for noticing the Ruk thing, I had to do it. xD)

  6. Wait so you do actualkly believe the corpus are treating the people right? Do you remember the sentence "profit numbs the feelings"? You see what money caused in this world, I don't want to see what it already did there.

I absolutely do not believe that the Corpus are in the right. But I do believe they see the value in freedom, and would be better for the solar system than the Grineer. As Alad V says, nobody wants to be a slave. Several billion innocents for a handful of Tenno is a good trade, considering our purpose. Would you rather have the blood of innocents on your hands, or the blood of a few who knew the risks of possessing a Warframe?

And let's be honest, capitalism is somewhat better than fascism.

  7. Lol that's lazy stats righ there. You fought exactly just for the reward, good boy. Did you leech the games? That would be even more hilarious.

I see you took the time to read over the entire post, and then decided to comment on my stats and then ask if I leeched for them. Very noble of you!

I can assure you, I grinded out those matches without leeching, despite having very limited time to play Warframe each day. While I'm sure your stats are much higher, mine do meet the requirements for T3. Do enjoy the rest of your day, now.

As a response to Knaimhe: Absolutely, I'd love to get myself a Detron. But as it looks like that will no longer be an option until it gets put into the game another way, I'll have to be pleased with my Corpus badge.

  8. Tenno who support the Corpus, hear me! We are on the cusp of defeat! We fought hard, but it is clear now that victory shall not be ours. Even a perfect display of sheer willpower will not force the Grineer off of Mars, so now we are left with a choice: Give in, or fight.

I ask that you fight. That you bleed the Grineer for every inch of Mars they wish to take, for if they want to enslave billions, if they wish to steal Corpus technology and horde cryopods full of your kin for themselves (For is that not what this war started over?), they will have to do so over the scores of their own dead, over valleys and ravines of rotting Grineer, and rivers of their impure blood. Fight, and do not stop fighting. Force them to blunt the sword of the Grineer military against us as long as you can.

Some of our fellow Tenno have taken to calling us traitors. Dissidents. Turncoats. I am here to tell you that these brave men and women are following their own sense of duty, and they are not your enemy. They are, however, very wrong.

We Tenno awoke to a solar system that was rotten to the core. The Grineer war machine would stop at nothing to enslave the billions upon billions of innocent lives that exist in our solar system, and it would appear that many of our kin forget this. We awoke to FIGHT the Grineer. We sacrificed to kill Tyl Regor, to fight Vor and Lech Kril wherever they appear. We killed Vay Hek to stop his corrupt reign. Even now, some of our newly-awakened Tenno sabotage the Grineer war machine wherever they find it, destroying reactors and mining equipment to stunt their expansion.

You who call us dissidents and traitors, you are the ones who lack loyalty. You who turned your back on our purpose and duty, you are the ones who have been swayed by lies. You would turn your back on the sacrifices we've already made, turn your back on the billions of innocents who NEED us, turn your back on our very reason for waking up from your cryogenic sleep?

Fine, do so. I'm sure Sargas Ruk is a very eloquent Grineer, and that he convinced you with his amazing oratory skills. But we who have our conviction and our honor will not submit that easily.

A true Tenno would value the lives billions of innocents over a handful of his own kin.

  9. Despite how realistic you want this "war" to be, it turns out that this is actually a free-to-play video game that makes money from happy players. Therefore, DE wants happy players.

IMO, it would make sense for the Corpus to get their Detron BP even if they lose, since it's a Corpus weapon. As it stands, getting a Brakk BP would be a smack in the face. Free weapons are nice, but if I'm gonna grind out 100 missions for a pistol, it better end up being the one I want.

But seriously, this is not a war. It is a VIDEO GAME with a competitive event. If it wasn't fair people would stop playing and DE would make less money. That should be obvious.

  10. Yeah, I just don't like that to get the chance at a hand-cannon you have to grind out 100 missions, and then if the player base decides "Naw", you get the weapon you -didn't- grind 100 missions out for, minus slot and potato.

But on the plus side, you might be able to grind for your chosen handcannon later. Fantastic.

  11. The thing is, this event is supposed to last an entire week. The Corpus might still make a comeback, but with no reward for faction loyalty and a free supercharged pistol with a slot for the winning team, and the losing team only getting the BP of the weapon they DIDN'T want to grind 100 missions for, there's no reason to fight hard when you can just join the winners.

This is from a person with 65 Corpus wins and 0 Grineer wins, however. Just acknowledging that all I get for my stubbornness is a BP and likely a Machete. Free weapons are always nice, but I just wish we got at least something we want for going down with the ship. Like a Detron BP!

(And if we'll see it again later, why not?)

  12. Apologies for the non-descriptive title; I'm not sure what else to call this! However, it just doesn't feel very interesting to me when you have a mission to destroy a reactor or something, and halfway through the Lotus goes "I changed my mind, just kill 'em." It just doesn't feel professional, and I feel that the Lotus tends to do this a TON. So I propose a way to link objectives to make missions feel more varied, and more interesting.

    1. Linking Both Objectives at the beginning

Say you're in a Corpus mission. Destroy the Reactor. Oh, and there's also Intel. Right now that feels kind of disjointed. However, what I propose is for the game to look at the objectives in each mission, and link them together. Would require more Lotus VOs, but could turn out really cool. So instead of "Destroy the Reactor", followed by "Gather the Intel", you'd get the following at the mission beginning:

"This ship has valuable Intel we need to strike at the Corpus effectively. However, it's protected by an advanced Corpus firewall, and we can't hack their ciphers. You need to destroy this ship's reactor; this will temporarily disable the firewall while the ship switches to secondary power. Good luck, Tenno."

So the mission feels less disjointed, and doesn't surprise players with lengthy bonus objectives. Or another example, combining Hostage with Spy:

"We recently had a Corpus double-agent attempting to feed us valuable intel, but they've recently been captured. Find them, and they've agreed to transmit the data we need to crack the Corpus ciphers. Using this data, we can hack into the systems aboard this ship and steal their intel. Save the hostage, grab the intel. Good luck, Tenno."

Stuff like that. More context for your actions, other than just "Oh, there's a reactor here too? Shoot that I guess because you have to."

This would also allow longer multi-part missions, where you have to, say, Steal the Intel and exfiltrate; if you're detected, then you have to destroy the reactor first to lower the Corpus firewall, and if you take too long a Grineer boarding party arrives and you have to eliminate them to prevent them from following the Tenno back to their home base. Stuff like that. Now onto my next suggestion, which is:

    2. Adding Context to the Bonus Objectives

Right now, bonus objectives just kinda happen, like I've illustrated above. But I feel like it would be cooler to have bonus objectives be explained in-game, and have events that go with them. For example, say you've successfully grabbed the intel, and then you get a Destroy the Reactor objective:

"Good work grabbing the Intel, Tenno. However, it looks like the Corpus have activated the ship's self-destruct system. You don't have enough time to exfiltrate; however, if you destroy the reactor it will buy you the time you need. Go." Cue three-minute timer or some such.

Or, say you get an Exterminate in the middle of your mission:

"Tenno, ignore your original objective; the Grineer have ambushed the vessel you're on, and are currently raiding the upper decks with heavily-armed boarding parties. Corpus resistance has been exterminated. Ensure that none of the Grineer accomplish their objectives. We will not tolerate this."

    Or this;

"Ignore your original mission; I've noticed strange readings in the ship's cargo bay. Apparently they were transporting sample of the Technocyte Plague that have since gotten loose. The plague is currently ravaging the ship. Eliminate all infested crew before you go. It's too dangerous to leave this ship infested."

So there you go, that's pretty much it.

TL;DR: 1. Linking missions at the beginning with dialogue could add more context, and be really cool.

                2. Linking bonus missions with dialogue and with faction-switching could also be really cool.

  13. So a while back I noticed there tended to be this thick smoke in the new Grineer Galleon tileset, and I chalked it up to design. But then I realized that obnoxious grey fog definitely wasn't in the screenshots. Then I started noticing the fog EVERYWHERE. Here's a screenshot of what I mean; apparently it's affected by DoF/Motion Blur, because turning that off disables the fog. I took some screenies in the Grineer Asteroid base because I just saw the terrible fog once more.

    With Motion Blur/DoF enabled:

    And with Motion Blur/DoF disabled:

Is this intentional, or a bug? Because I dislike that fog, but I REALLY like motion blur.

  14. Gotta run Void missions. You can get keys from Defense missions as well as Raids, and occasionally even log-in rewards. At the end of each void mission you get a random reward, and Frost Prime, the main BP and its parts, are possible rewards. Specifically, try tier III missions with enemies leveled 70-100ish.
