  1. Tried logging in today with my normal setup with my steam controller but the keyboard did not popup like normal. Instead it felt like it was using my desktop config. Besides this though tried just clicking on the password field and it would not select or let me type in the box. Restarted but this time with just xbox controller plugged in and same thing happens. Weird not pressing a makes that bong sound as if interacting with a different menu.

     

    This was an issue with the main line update that came with the melee rework. Anyone else having this issue? Know any fixes?

     

    Edit: found root issue. Problem happens when using Big Picture mode and the Big Picture overlay option when outside Big Picture . Without it you can't bring up the digital keyboard still but can use regular keyboard  since game starts with password field selected. Hope this helps narrow down the issue to be fixed.

     

    Edit 2: seems this is only a partial fix. The game does not use the whole config you use for steam this way so a fix soon would still be greatly appreciated so I can do things like use all my abilitys!

  2. For steam config DE Jim updated the official config so that melee works with the new system. Just important the offical and customize lile you normally would. If you don't want to start over that though an easy fix is to set whenever you want to melee to the xbox b button works just the same as the old melee config setup. Hope this helps those still stuck with this!

    I didn't even know they did this. Was testing things our and I cant still use dedicated melee by switching to it with switch weapon button. Is that gone now on regular controllers?

  4. @[DE]Jim thanks so much for your hard work thats great to hear the steam controller will final be updated a bit to catch up on some of the changes! Hope Steam controller can be kept in mind a bit more moving forward with some of these updates still the best way to play warframe I found! Again though thank you so much for the fix!

  5. I am also having the same issue can't login with my steam controller or regular xbox 360. I love playing warframe with my steam controller but every update they make it harder and harder especially after they reverted the controller interactions with ui. Now it seems they locked all controllers from interacting with the login in screen. If the controller is plugged in it does not accept the A button, the select control DE made for their steam config, or the enter button. Has anyone found a workaround besides not using big picture mode and thus not having access to the control config? I really hope they see the bug board flooding with controller issues and they actually fix this one.

    Gotcha! The change was defiantly right track what it needed though! If it got something along the lines of your suggestion though I think she'd be absolutely perfect and complete so again thanks for sharing your great suggestion! 🙂

    Like if molt blowing up, would also spread more spores... or it would also slow down enemies while speeding you up. I love the speed buff, but it would be nice to have more options for tricks. 

    Thanks! Also, I didn't think of a slow debuff for molt thats actually a really great idea! It would fit with saryns theme well and would give the right amount of cc thats shes missing and it wouldn't be too over the top. Also, frames with high ability synergy i feel the same way about there the most fun and the ones I use the most Nidus being my top frame for it!

    With the 3.0 changes she is clearly designed as a hit and run frame. She should not be tanking damage. That is why Molt boosts speed, pulls agro off her, and (with the augment) helps maintain her health pool. The high armor rating helps mitigate some of the spike damage she receives but really she was never intended to be a "stand in one spot and do X" frame like she ended up in version 2.0. 

     

    Jump in, cast spore, jump out. Toxic lash an individual target to spread that toxic damage around easier and pop miasma to cut target health by 50%. 

     

    3.0 has made her playstyle very fun. Molt is actually super useful now if popped at the right time. The ONLY change that I could viably see made to boost molt's effectiveness without being too powerful is to give Saryn a brief period of invulnerability (like 0.5s) to give her a chance of setting up a bullet jump without getting bombarded.

    I don't want to change her to be a tank your right on that. I simply want to give her more ways of at least avoiding the damage she may take. And can I ask what benefit does poping Molt give you now with the rework? My understanding is it simply does an aoe damage when popped maybe I missed something though and would love to hear about it! Also your suggestion at least get a brief window to do  some maneuver to get out of a bad spot I think that would be perfect to complement her play style great suggestion!

    Okay ahaaha exactly this! I want her to get CC/utility so she has better survivability! If this is my own misconception of terms then I might change the title to reflect that thank you!

    My suggestions are for when more scaling solution then what she has. I'm not in anyway saying shes not good now in fact she very much is! I'd just love to see some improvement to make her just right and more consistently handle higher then sortie level enemies for example. If its sortie level and lower she is for the most part all set! Personally, I like doing higher level content where CC is more important and I'd rather not have to use specific weapons or element combos to help the frame I'd rather the abilitys they have simply work as they are but for much longer into say an endurance run. But like I said in my post what they did do was perfect! It was exactly what the ability needed I simply wish they did just a tad more.

    Building a highly energy dependent caster for Rage + QT is probably the dumbest idea I have ever heard of.

    The dumb part is NEEDING to do this on a frame to make it survive. The combo itself actually works best the higher the energy pool but shouldn't be a necessity like it basically is on Saryn since she doesn't have good options of taking no damage like you mentioned. Also, if believe D.E. she's no longer "energy hungry" so most of the energy is supposed to be used as armor then in this scenario. However, she's actually worse since you have to use the ult way more and really hurt low efficiency builds when the wrongly removed the energy regen toxic lash gave.

    Hahaaha it hurts but I think your right on that! Which again doesn't make sense for the frame thats depicted as a front line yet the only strategy to her is to run away XD

    Very true. This was why it was so disappointing when the rework didn't address this major issue she has. I really do hope they make some change to her Molt so we can free up those slots to do the actual builds we want rather then forced to certain mods just to play her at the level other frames get to enjoy by default.

    Agreed, Regenerative Molt should be part of the ability. Thats interesting though making the speed boost and Exilus thats another great suggestion. And yeah having those making any frame a tank basically XD

    It should be any level. This isn't just for Saryn though thats any frame. Equanux can sleep and stun, Excal has a blind, Ash has cloak, Rhino has scaling armor, Nyx has well just a ton of cc actually, Inaros has pocket sand there are so many abilitys that no matter the level of enemies they still work and can always keep their frame alive. Thats what my molt changes are there for, to give Saryn equal footing in that department.

    Very well put. This is one of the main issues with trying to put armor on her she doesn't get anything more in return like other frames do. I will say her augment scales with power strength but I too feel that it should really just be apart of the ability.

    I want her like other frames to simply be able to survive with how she is standard. Normaly I'll put on health mod maybe armor depending on frame. With Saryn thought you already need some many slots to buff her range at the very least and by then your starved for slots. So to answer you question ideally none lol but thats not very practical so just having on 1 or 2 would be preferable. Still I would simply like her avoid damage ability to get a buff to make surviving natural easier by not mod dependent.

    Quick thinking, Sure Footed and ... I am blanking on PF ahaha. But the issue is she should need half her mod slots taken up just so she can survive. Simple changes to molt can make a big difference for her. But sure I'd be up for trying that out always happy to test out new builds for her!

    I feel the exact same one! The augment really should just be a part of the ability. I'm also mainly solo and it really sucks how many mods she needs just to survive some basic things that other frames handle with just there ability. I did think at one point your exact suggestion with the stealth but like you also said didn't want another stealth frame I also wanted to make suggestions that fit the Saryn theme a bit better. But hey maybe that what the augment could be changed to!

    Your right shes not a cc frame. Other casters have some form of avoiding damage Saryns is to just run away. When you pop molt you usually are either using it for the heal with the augment or trying to not get killed by a group of enemies. No use of surroundings is going to help you in late game when your one shoted on sight thats why I put that small form of cc in there so she might have something that will always scale since you know they won't shoot you because they can't.
