  1. So, I just equipped the new Dynasty Sword Skin onto the Zenistar and Im fairly sure its not supposed to be this big.5DK1GGF.jpg

Now, I might be wrong but it feels like his hands should not be clipping through the hilt. Im also fairly sure that its unusual for the sword to be that much bigger than him.

When equipped on War, Galatine or Scindo, the blade is much more reasonable. It should also be pointed out that the particle effects from the Zenistar's blade still go on as normal despite the skin.

I am eager to see this patched but until it is, Im just gonna run around with this giant sword.

  2. I've been running through the Glast Gambit questline and after receiving the third picture from Neewa the quest has bugged out. The quest simply doesnt provide a next mission. The quest is still there and I havent completed it or anything but it wont display the next mission. I've logged in and out, set a different active quest then gone back to it, and its all done nothing.

  3. So overall I love this Update. It adds some great features however it also has some big problems (not just in terms of bugs, though I will be bringing those up too) and I'm going to try and go over my opinion. I dont usually criticise much in Warframe but some things are just not up to the standard I've come to expect from DE.

    Positive

    - Mirage is great in my opinion. She has a great aesthetic, is fun to play and has a lot of good uses. She is honestly one of my favourite parts of the update and she is already one of my favourite frames.

    - Kubrows are really cool. They look great, they're fun to own and use and I think they are great additions to the game.

    Negative

    - Kubrows, again. I said they're great additions to the game and they are. Or rather they could be.

The first thing is time. I was ok with waiting for the incubation, I was ok with waiting for the maturing. I was ok with all that. But 3 hours to take a kubrow out of stasis is just idiotic. Essentially it means I cant use them for 3 hours unless I only ever use a single kubrow. If I want to do a mission with stealth I either have to wait 3 hours to get my Huras out of stasis, happen to have her out already or I just need to go on without any kubrow. There is also the problem that there is no in-game indication of how long anything takes. It also irks me that there are no such restrictions on sentinels, which seems to be encouraging people to use the sentinels more which does seem a good idea in some ways, if the sentinels do not have any advantage over kubrows I can't see anyone ever using them. But creating some frustrating, pointless mechanic to force their usage over that of the kubrows from choice to necessity seems nothing more than something built to aggravate.

The second thing is appearance. My Huras finally matured today however the problem with her is that she has the body of a raksa. So I've got this enormous monstrosity sneaking around on its stomach. I have no problem with the large kubrows, in fact I love them, but when I saw the Huras as the small animal it showed me I really loved it and now I don't like it at all. It looks like a bad joke and about as far from what I wanted in a stealth pet as possible and there is no way to change it except farm for a few hours to find another egg and incubate it, hoping its a Huras and also hoping it is small.

Scrambling was dumb. It was an annoying gamble on plat. However, having no option to change it is even worse. My Sunika had a horrible appearance at first with awful colouring and patterns. After one scramble it changed to something I honestly really liked. I'm a player who was first brought into the game because of a love for its aesthetic and design and not being able to change my kubrows means I could just hate to look at them and will therefore be less likely to use them. We need some way to customise the kubrows to our own tastes if it is to be a successful addition.

The kubrow AI also needs revision. They seem to have no common sense and apparently no sense of self-preservation either. They dive headlong into a group of enemies and keep fighting until they inevitably drop. Since I like my kubrow I end up spending a lot of effort trying to keep it alive which is actually very difficult. It also annoys me that there is no way of tracking them on the minimap. Most allied units get blue dots to show their position but the kubrow gets nothing.

I know the 'Negative' section seems bigger but really it is because I can more easily explain my complaints more than I can explain the things I like. Overall I like the update but the kubrows need some real work.

  4. My kubrow does not seem to care that it has the physical form of an enormous raksa. She somehow thinks she is a huras. Essentially what I have wound up with is a kubrow that, for all intents and purposes, acts like a huras (having all the same abilities and actions) however it looks like a raksa. I'm kinda disappointed because I did really want the huras and only partly for its skills. I didnt use any imprints or anything that would make this happen and there is no problem gameplay wise. I'm just wondering is this a bug or is there something I'm missing?

  5. This started off as being a much shorter story but I didnt keep track of exactly how much I was writing and it grew a lot larger than expected. I tried to tell a story from the viewpoint of a newly awakened Valkyr so I attempted to make the writing style reflect the sporadic, confused thoughts that one would expect. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Pain. I’m trapped in it. Submerged in it. An ocean of it surrounding me. The shackles holding me down as the waves crash against my weakening mind. The hands. Mechanical hands. They do things I don’t understand, stir the waters of the pain. I’m trapped, cold and something else. A burning light deep within the abyss of my consciousness. Rage. Bright and hot. Dark and cold. It is a stranger to me but yet it feels like my oldest friend. My worst enemy. It whispers and shouts. It is everything. Every fibre of my being is infused with it. Rage is the only thing left now.

Then the voice comes. It is smooth and it confuses me. I had forgotten calm. The voice tells me not to be afraid. It calls me Tenno. The word resonates in the deep recesses of my thought, though I have long since forgotten its meaning. I want the voice to go. It is easier to lie here, to bask in the pain and let nothing else matter. I realise that the simplicity of my being is fading. My thoughts are returning and with them are other things. They make no sense, they are not fury. They are honour and duty and loyalty and a myriad of various other foolish notions and yet my mind clings to them. Ensnares them in such a way that even I cannot release them. It holds them desperately and no matter how much I try the grip on them remains stubbornly fixed. I feel as though I am no longer in control of my own mind.

The shackles release. The pain remains and I realise there is no ocean. The ocean is me. My body is pain. This pain will never leave for it is ingrained into my body by the hateful bindings. Even if the bindings were to be removed this is pain that cannot be undone. The memory of it would be as torturous as the sensation. It is my burden. I see the hateful mechanical hands and grab at them tearing them apart. Sparks. No blood. No meat. Sparks. Sparks and wiring. I need to rip flesh. Machines have no minds. I must find the controller of the hands. They will pay. I will tear them apart. The hatred and rage burn brightly together, like lovers. I hear alarms and the voice. Talking, talking. I don’t need to listen.

I find prey. A lash stretches from my arm and tears his torso apart from his legs. I shudder in ecstasy as the blood splatters against me. The warmth of the fresh kill like a warm sunset. It invigorates me. I keep going, every enemy causing another surge of beautiful feeling. I lose myself in the joy of bloodshed.

I don’t know how much time passes but I observe my body is covered with gore. I see a head on the ground and crush it underfoot. The crunch sound and the feeling of the sudden give of bone sending a sharp shiver up my spine. It feels amazing. I hear a sound and the pain intensifies. I know nothing.

I wake up. There is a figure before me. The being is unlike me but it shares disgraceful similarities. It is feeble but moves as if it has power. It has a garment of blue and a strange mechanism around its neck. A machine prowls around its legs. I try to get up but the hole in my torso makes it difficult. The hateful creature moves closer and then looks up, as if in alarm and makes a hasty gesture. The machine leaves my vision, following the creatures command. The controller leans in and speaks. I do not care to listen. He leans in a bit more. Just enough. I send out my lash and it pierces his chest. I grab it by its clothing and slam it to the ground as the lash pulls it in. I slam my fist into its face. Again. Again. Again. The skull beneath the flesh begins to give in. The jaw breaks. I keep hitting. The creature is making a detestable mewling sound. I intend to silence it. Then, a flash.

Pain. It submerges me yet again. After what feels like an eternity the pain begins to fade. The darkness clouding my vision melts away and I see the creature’s blood but no sign of the creature itself. It escaped me. My mind whirls with fury for a few seconds. Fury at my stolen vengeance. My unfulfilled vendetta. Then something else draws my attention. The machine has been destroyed. It lies in smouldering pieces on the ground. I do not remember doing that. Then I remember the beings words. “Your friends won’t save you.” This confuses me, I do not have friends. Then a figure comes into focus. It is tall and broad. Its armour is a dark blue shade and the ring on its head encircles the setting sun behind it. The figure offers a hand to me and I take it. That is when I remember the meaning of the word ‘Tenno’.

  6. In my opinion Hikou are better for straight up combat with them being faster and having a less sheer arc. However for proper stealth Kunai will top the Hikou easily thanks to the higher dps. Basically it depends on preference. I advise looking at the wiki pages for both so you can see which suits your style better. However the Hikou are better vs Infested and Kunai are better vs Grineer.

  7. Blood in the Stars

This is my first attempt at writing fan fiction and I am interested to see people's opinions on it. I chose to write something that focused more on the Corpus than the Tenno themselves. While I am usually not a big fan of the Corpus (god damn those Shield Ospreys) I think they are quite interesting from a lore standpoint. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I might try to upload more of these in the future but for now enjoy.

    ~ Corpus Ship - Approaching Titan ~

“But sir, this ship is not properly equipped to deal with a Tenno attack,” these words were spoken by a Corpus underling whose name his master did not know nor care about. The master in question was Anvah Kren, a corpus merchant who was not hugely renowned but who still succeeded in making a steady profit.

“I am aware of my own ships capabilities fool. However we have been ordered to bring this latest find to Alad V with all haste, so that is what we will do,” the underling cowered. Amongst the Corpus Kren was oddly obsessed with physical perfection. This obsession had transformed him into a veritable giant of a man who could quite easily pass for a Grineer, and had done so on multiple occasions. His gaze made it very clear that this conversation was over and the underling was glad, as much as he dreaded the possibility of a Tenno attack he feared the horrible certainty of Anvah Kren’s not uncommon rages more. The underling scurried away as swiftly as his legs would allow, while trying to seem both noble and respectful. He failed completely and Kren grimaced. His crew were fools and he knew it. However he hoped that possibly the delivery of this find may grant him more profit and glory amongst his kin.

He gasped as he always did as he laid eyes on his prize. It was a thing of beauty but the beauty of it seemed almost to have been an afterthought of its creators. He knew there were thousands of similar items across the galaxy, hidden away in the darker corners of the galaxy but something about this one called to him. Some deep part of his being that had remained inactive and hidden deep within him for as long as he could remember. He stroked the emblem that was embossed onto its base with a tenderness like that of a man admiring a piece of art.

“You will be my greatest achievement,” said Kren. And at that exact moment the reactor exploded from the force of the gunfire smashing into it.

The underling was running back to his master. He had constantly attempted to break free of Anvah Kren’s iron grasp with no success. He had always wished to make a name for himself amongst his peers but was far too meek to try and do anything risky. As always he found himself fleeing back to his ungrateful master. He had glimpsed one of the invaders, a lithe humanoid figure in black with glowing red lights covering his body. The orderly had seen the figure, that horribly graceful thing, snake his way down from the roof and stab a hole through a large moa. He thought that it was most likely an Ash class Tenno but he honestly had no real idea. This was his first encounter with the enigmatic alien creatures and he was utterly terrified. He thought he heard a sound and quickened his pace.

They moved throughout the vessel with a speed and efficiency that was one of their races trademarks. Multiple times Kren attempted to impede their progress with a barrage of Grineer cyphers but these were bypassed within seconds and the wall of communications silence which shadowed the Tenno’s progress expanded with horrible speed. Anvah Kren could do nothing but watch through the security cameras as his men were overwhelmed by the sheer power of the intruders. Then as he watched a broadly built figure dressed in blue with a halo-like helmet walked into view. The figure was relaxed and calm as the Corpus approached him and maintained this veneer of calm even as he drew his bladed polearm and sliced through each and every one of the opponents. The helmeted head turned to the camera and Kren could feel himself being watched by eyes that were not truly there. Then the figure raised an arm, bringing a large crossbow-like weapon to bear and firing once directly into the centre of the camera’s lens.

The orderly was still running. He had been stalled by multiple lockdowns but almost as soon as they appeared they were gone again and the orderly slowly began to close on the chamber in which the artefact was being kept. He quickly punched in the code and darted inside unaware of the black figure observing him. He approached the item in the centre of the room and began to interact with the console next to it. While he was doing this he had no idea of the enormous figure approaching him until it smashed his face into the console.

“What exactly do you think you are doing?” roared Anvah Kren. He picked the underling up with one hand and squeezed. His every aspect betrayed his fury.

“If we give the Tenno the artefact then we may be allowed to leave master,” croaked the underling. He could hear the armour in his neck creak with the force of his masters hold. He would’ve said more but Kren roared and launched the underling through the air. He landed on the artefact heavily and this appeared to enrage Kren even more. A few lights on the object began to glow. Kren charged towards the underling picking him up once again.

“Please sir, I only wanted what was best for you!” the underling was practically screeching his words now the hit he had taken was causing blood to bubble in his throat.

“WHATS BEST FOR ME?!” roared the enraged captain.

“YOU REALLY BELIEVE LIVING WOULD DO ME ANY FAVOURS IF ALAD V FOUND OUT I HAD ABANDONED THE ARTEFACT?!” with this last word he slammed the underling to the ground once more and the underling coughed blood in a thick spray.

“IF THE TENNO WANT THE ARTEFACT SO BADLY THEY CAN PRY IT FROM MY GRASP” and with this the captain lifted the underling above his head and threw him to the ground. There was a horrible splintering as the underlings ribs were broken. Kren went to the screaming underling and his next words were a whisper.

“I always despised you. Your stupidity. Your weakness. You are not worthy to be called Corpus.”

He then straightened up and pulled back the underlings arms and legs leaving his torso hanging and then he brought his foot down hard in the centre of the underlings back. The underlings screams intensified, a feat Kren would not have believed possible, as his spine snapped and his torso ruptured spilling his organs on the floor. The underlings screaming slowly turned to a gurgle as blood filled his mouth. Kren smirked, the fool had been stronger in death than in life, he never would’ve credited him with the ability to scream for so long after your body has been so utterly destroyed. He walked over to the artefact and stroked its surface.

“I was wrong when I said you were to be my greatest achievement. You are my doom,” with this he turned around failing to notice some of the lights inside of the objects casing had begun to illuminate.

Anvah Kren watched as the Tenno converged on the door to the chamber. They did not destroy the camera this time. They wanted him to see. The Frost approached the door slowly, taking his time and keeping his eyeless face pointed at the camera. He was followed closely by a blood-soaked Ash. His weapons were stowed. He knew as well as Kren did that there was no more Corpus troops on this ship. As they approached the dark figure who had been following the underling peeled from its hiding place. Its tall crested helmet and huge armoured shoulder pad marked it as a Banshee. She flowed into step with the Frost, keeping a respectable distance at all times. They slowed as they reached the door. The Frost was still looking at the camera. He nodded very slightly and the Banshee approached the door and inputted the code she had seen the underling use. Kren had not had enough time to change the code and knew it would not have mattered if he did. It would only have delayed them for a few more seconds.

The door slid silently open revealing the 3 Tenno silhouetted against the blue light of the ships readouts. They walked slowly into the room.

“TENNO!,” roared Kren “I WILL NOT LET YOU HAVE THE ARTEFACT!”. None of the Tenno spoke. Ashe looked idly around at his surroundings while Frost continued to look at Kren with his blank, unreadable helmet being the only thing offered to Kren. No expression, no words. No mercy.

“COME TENNO! I HAVE FACED YOUR KIND BEFORE! AND I STILL LIVE WHILE THEY ARE BEING CARVED INTO PIECES BY MY MASTER!” Kren was insane. Even he knew it but all he could think was of how liberating it is and asking himself why he hadn’t done it sooner. The Frost just kept watching him.

“STOP STARING AT ME!” screeched Kren. Then he felt the knife puncture the flesh of his back. The cryopod in the centre of the room was empty and as Kren looked he saw its contents standing with its knife buried in his spine. He roared and swung at the Tenno and it disappeared. Then he felt another blade thrust into his spine. He spun around and stared at the space where his assailant should’ve been and saw nothing but empty air. He roared in frustration and looked around once again. He saw the Tenno standing on a crate and drew his Spectra and began to draw a bead on his target but before he could pull the trigger the Tenno waved his arm in an almost lazy gesture and the handgun exploded in his hand. He roared as the flesh of his hand was scorched by the plasma chamber of his gun as it dissolved. Then the Tenno leapt. Kren grinned a maniacs smile and opened his arms as if to embrace the approaching warrior. Just before the Tenno reached him he grabbed it by its leg and hurled it hard. It flew into the air and Kren laughed and began to move towards the table that held his other weapons including the longbow he had found buried with the Tenno. But just before he reached it he felt a lurching sensation and then began falling. He looked to the Loki as it approached the weapons table he himself had been next to a millisecond before. He quickly swept the bow around and fired and Kren felt a biting pain in his torso as the arrow punctured his midriff.

The Frost and his allies stood in the doorway watching the Loki approach Kren as he hung from the wall, pinned by the arrow through his chest. They didn’t move as Loki approached the Corpus merchant. He drew back the bow and aimed it directly at Kren’s head. The merchant grinned with a mouth full of blood.

“You Tenno amuse me. You speak of your nobility and honour. You attack Alad V for attempting to create something capable of stopping you when you yourselves would do the exact same in our position. You stand there with your morality as your puppet mistress tells you your every move and you follow it, barely ever questioning the purpose of your endeavours. My only regret is not being there to see your fall Tenno. Believe me it is coming, and sooner than you think.”

Loki was still holding the bow to his head.

“Come on Tenno. Kill me,” whispered Kren.

Loki just kept holding the bow to his head.

“Are you a coward Tenno? KILL ME!”

    Loki lowered the bow.

“BASTARD TENNO, YOU SHALL ALL BURN IN THE FIRE OF YOUR OWN ARROGANCE!” Kren roared, an astonishing feat considering the arrow lodged in his chest.

The Tenno walked out of the door in silence, the Loki easily falling into step with the others. They left Anvah Kren to bleed to death to the sound of his own gurgling laughter.

  8. I am afraid it is not a case of payment Alad V. There is many different paths that you are faced with. Firstly you can continue on your current course, attempt to keep our Tenno brothers and sisters captive and waste valuable resources vying for control of Mars. This path will most likely result in your death and the ending of your scheming. However we Tenno do not need to support Ruk. Release the Tenno in your hold and reveal the truth behind this 'Zanuka Project'. In this case we will leave you to your conflict with Sargas Ruk, if you wish to continue it, and we will return to our regular activities. This is your ultimatum. Consider your choices well. You do not have much time to spare.

  9. Now I know some people may have read the title and just said 'what the actual hell?' but I just feel the need to express my feelings.

    Players

I have played many online games in my time and I feel the need to say that you guys are some of the best communities in games. When someone asks a question in the chat everyone jumps to help them and I think that, no matter how small it seems, is just amazing. Maybe its the nature of the game. It is almost entirely a co-operative experience after all. But no matter the reason I have to say its just awesome.

    Devs

I've been playing for a long time now, ever since the open beta weekend, and I have grown to love the devs. I remember the first time I played. Me and 3 friends charging around having no idea what we were doing but whatever it was we loved it. Then I was playing the Gradivus Dilemma with the same set of friends and I just stopped for a moment and thought back. And I realised not just how far we had come but how far the game had come as well. We've seen you guys working through the night to get a patch out, do constant livestreams and listen to the community. It makes me feel like I belong in a way that no other game has made me feel. From the huge mega updates that made my wallet pretty much disintegrate to the little jokes in red text that you guys everything you guys do is amazing. And I know that you guys will probably never read this, and I respect that you're busy. But I felt the need to say something.

So to finish off I want to go back to where I started. I love you guys. Seriously (dis is srs talk).

  10. I just have a few questions about the game in general.

I first started Warframe during the Open Beta Weekend and after me and my friend joined together and got a Founders Pack. He payed more so he got the extra goodies. However my problem is that he no longer has time to play the game anymore, so my first question is will there be some way to exchange the Founders Pack stuff at any point.

Another point I would want to make is about Lore. I know lore is constantly being developed but I wanted to know when, if ever we will learn more about the enigmatic Tenno and their mysterious leader. I know that many people want to learn the nature of the characters we play and the Lotus.

A further point I would like to raise is about weaponry. I know a lot of people have said this before but I still feel I need to raise the point that there is a very high amount of melee weapons being released in comparison to the low amount of primary weapons and sidearms. While I love almost every melee weapon that is released I would like to see some more interesting ranged weaponry, like maybe some form of crossbow as a primary weapon or maybe something that utilized something sort of like the seeker grenades.

I also was hoping for some kind of body skins for warframes, like the custom helms. I just think this would be really good and I know there is rumours that this will be happening at some point but I just wanted to raise the point in case it wasn't.

If you read all of that I am truly impressed with you I would give you a cookie but I'm afraid I don't have any. I know it was a 'little' long winded but I really want Warframe to be all it can be and I hope anyone reading this does too. If not keep it to yourself.

  11. I put down 2 totem pillars and a floor medallion. When they were a few hours from completion I used some spare platinum to complete them. However once I had done so they stayed incomplete and I couldn't select them. I tried relogging but they stayed that way. And now I cannot remove them. Has anyone had any similar issues or have any idea how to fix it?

  12. So I was looking at the new weekend Event and I have a few questions that need answering.

Firstly, do you get the reward for surviving 20 minutes on 1 map or do you need to survive 20 minutes on each?

Secondly, is the Strun Wraith a unique weapon like the difference between the Braton and the Braton Vandal or is it just a skin for the Strun. If so do you need the Strun to receive the reward?

The answers to these questions may be somewhere and I haven't noticed them but I really want to know.
