  1. I did search a bit, but I didn't find that many results. And some are just not making much sense like some guy claiming he got a Trade Ban for trading fish... I mean I don't know ofc, but most likely he also did some missions.

And others I find are usually about long runs. Long meaning 3h, 4h or more. That's what I already thought to be the reason (kinda got hinted that way by support back then) when I got my first Trade Ban.

But all the later bans I got were for missions that can not be considered perticularly long. Nor with particularly high drops in resources or whatever. And that's the part that's troubling me. Especially 100 mins fissures. 100 mins is necessary to come to 1.5k traces which is the whole point of it.

And don't get me wrong, I'm happy you take the time sharing your thoughts. But resources seems so weird. I did many many survivals like this and I was always getting resources for it. Never a problem.... I just want to understand what's happening....

One thing that could explain the randomness in bans is stacking Smeeta buffs. Maybe. But that's why I mentioned the 210 traces that was the highest I got this run. A long time ago I got 600 traces in a single pickup with stacking buffs. And that was fine. It's those experiences that make me think it's probably something else. But what?

  2. Well... that might be just because everyone doing longer missions is most likely also using a Smeeta and Resource Booster simply because they are very efficient to use.

    My bans so far:

    1) Arbitration 7h, but NOT keeping the loot because mission broke and enemies stopped spawning so it was impossible to complete.

    2) Sentient Anomaly Shedu farming. It was one run of many. Did this for more than a week, maybe 2 weeks and only 1 run got me banned. Nothing extraordinary happened.

    3) 100 Mins Survival Fissure. During double resource weekend. It gave 3k traces.

    4) 100 Mins Survival Fissure without double resource weekend. Just the normal mission for relic opening that I did maybe 100 times before and it was always fine.

I use Smeeta and Resource Booster on everything simply because there was no reason to use a different companion. And Booster I can't even turn off. Yet in the Arbitration I did not keep the resources so Booster and Smeeta should be irrelevant. And for Shedu drops it has no effect at all while other resources that drop from Anomaly come in tiny quantities that should not be of any relevance.

So it seems a bit questionable if it can be resources alone. I hope maybe someone will see this who also got banned after certain missions. Maybe we can find what part of the game is not allowed to play.

Trade ban happens when the player aquires abnormal amounts of rewards from a mission. Unfortunately this automated ban hits people who play the game normally and use Smeeta kavat or boosters during long survival runs.

Are you sure it's triggered by resources? (affected by smeeta and booster). Because the main reason to stay long in a fissure mission is the endless bonus. That will give you another x2 booster basically on all the resources you get. It starts with +25% and every 25 mins another 25% is added until it caps at +100%.

It would mean that fissures engourage you to stay longer and get more resources but then they punish you for it with a Trade Ban?

  4. Just that relic rewards were not particularly lucky. I think it was 2-3 gold drop which is way below average. Chance for gold with 4 radiant relics is around 30% so in 20 relics it should be 6 gold drops.

And I've had much luckier relic opening survival in the past that did not trigger a ban. Kinda makes me doubt that relic rewards matter at all. But I can't be sure ofc

  5. Since I am unlucky enough to have quite a bit of experience with Trade Bans I can say for sure they are issued for missions that you play. When I contact support about it their first copy&paste response is always something about "abnormal mission results" so that confirms that it has nothing to do with trades i have done.

And how I know it was this particular survival mission is because I was able to trade before and I am not able to trade now.

When I go to Maroo's bazar and try to trade with someone I see that I am restricted from trading for 334h. Matching exactly the time when I finished the Survival.

In the Dojo I can still open trades, but as soon as I or the person I'm trading with wants to put something into the trade it will say "Failed to make offer.". After the daily trade reset it will also show in the Dojo Trading Station that I'm restricted from trading. It's been the same way on the previous bans.

And... If it would really ban everyone who plays a 100 mins mission then forums would be flooded with reports about it. I know there are reports about excessive runs but it's getting a bit crazy when they are also banning for completely normal missions now. Also it's not about the time alone, because then everyone in the mission would be banned and not just a few. I just don't know what is the actual reason. If it's connected to resources that would also be quite strange. I am running a double resource booster and if resource amount would cause a ban that would ultimately mean I'm being banned for buying a booster...

Edit: I should mention somewhere that these Trade Bans are for 14 days (+ all remaining trades on the first day). So it is taking away 429 trades in this case. Which is way too much if you want to justify it with 20 relics opened. (And you could open a lot more relics if you would run capture fissures anyway)

  6. Okay I should give more details:

It was Survial Fissure for Meso Relics (Elara on Jupiter).

I did have a Smeeta with me for more traces but the highest I remember was a double smeeta buff giving me 210 traces. About normal resources I know I had only 550k Salvage at the end because I checked that when others were mentioning in chat they got 600k. Other resources I really cant remember.

I was playing Octavia, rest of the team was Wisp, Nova and Nekros.

  7. Did my first survival fissure today after about 2 months and right away I got a Trade Ban for it. It was only 100 mins. There are game mechanics (endless fissure boosters) that even require you to play that long in a mission to activate them. Why does it cause a ban?

I asked someone else in the group and they are not banned.

So what am I doing wrong? I'd be really thankful for any advice you can give me.

It's the 4th Trade Ban for me now and I don't know why....

Oh and pls don't tell me to contact support. I did that on the last 3 bans. They are not allowed to lift the ban nor to tell me why I got banned nor can they give me any advice on how to avoid getting banned again. And then they just close my ticket.

  8. Dear DE,

Normally I would not come to a forum about this... And it is in fact not the first thing I did as I already messaged support. But while replying within a day is nice they refuse to give the least bit of information on why I was banned never mind considering lifting the ban. Now they even told me they are not going to give any further support in this matter. It seems much like they are not responsible to handle bans at all. So I come here as it's pretty much the last thing I can do.

    So what actually happened?
I received a 14 days trade ban without doing anything wrong like hacking/exploiting/cheating/scamming/insulting. Also without any explanation why. And not once, this happened twice already.

First ban happened in December 2019:
I was joining a group of veteran Warframe players in an attempt to "beat" Warframe. After having played for almost 2.5 years very actively I felt like it was time to give it a try. So the idea was to play an arbitration for as long as we possibly could to try reaching level 9999 enemies. And we did it! The mission took 7h 37 mins and here's what we got:
    TradeBan1VitusEssence.png
Well almost. After reaching lvl 9999 the enemies simply stopped spawning. And the mission type being a Defense made it literally impossible to finish and keep the loot. After losing all loot of such an exhausting run it seems almost logical that the game would force us to kill ourselves. Devs showing some nice sense of humor...
But the worst punishment was that I noticed my trading was blocked right on the first trade that I wanted to do after this mission. There was no inbox message, no e-mail, no notification on what was happening at all. Trades were only giving me a "failed to make offer" message everytime I tried to place an item or plat into the trade. This part was likely a bug that fixed itself on the next day when I could not start trades anymore and the Trading Station would show the message "Trading restricted for 324h".
Now I contacted support about it, the response was that my mission "was flagged for having abnormal results". I will add the full conversation with the support a little further down. Here I just want to say that it did not come totally unexpected in this case. Such a mission can certainly be considered "abnormal" and I was expecting that it would get looked into when I started it. What I did not expect was a ban right away after we couldn't even keep the loot, getting no explanation why I was banned and not getting the ban lifted after my account has been checked. Also I did not do this mission solo. There were 3 other players with me in the exact same mission yet none of them received a ban.
Here's the Leaderboard showing I was not alone:
    TradeBan1Leaderboard.png

A note for the more casual players:
I am aware that it might seem very unlikely and almost impossible to reach a level of 9999 with legit means. Not too long ago I would have thought the same myself. But the strategy to achieve this is actually pretty simple and almost foolproof. All it takes is everyone in the group to use the Tenno Specter with a decent weapon. No Riven or Prime Mods are required. The specter will always be scaled to enemy levels when you place it during a mission hence it can kill enemies at any level. Now all we did was to replace the specter every couple 100 levels and let them do all the killing while we and the operative were hiding under invisibility. Also note that this was an Infested mission, so no huge AoE explosions were happening that could kill us accidentally.

And here the full conversation I had with support:
    TradeBan1SupportConversation.png

So after all support was telling me to not play longer than 3h. It still felt strange that others in the group were not banned but I decided to leave the matter, wait out the ban and take it as punishment for my own stupidity of playing to level 9999.

Then the second ban happened just a month later in January 2020:
This time I'm quite unsure of what was even triggering it.
I kept to the restriction of not playing longer than 3h in a single mission. In fact I'm pretty sure I did not even exceed 2h in a mission since the first ban. On the day of the ban I was playing several sentient anomalies (around 35-40 mins each), one axi fissure survival for 75 mins and several random fast fissure missions to farm Void Traces. Nothing banworthy.
When the ban happened I was not playing any mission at all. I was using up my last 2 trades about 30 mins before the trade reset to buy prime junk. Then about 15 mins after the trade reset I was banned already.
I went to ask support and got the exact same message from last time about abnormal mission results only with the words "another" and "again" added to it. Seeing those copy & paste messages with not even the slightest attemt of being helpful for the player just makes me sad. During the first ban I didn't know everything was just copy & paste and thought support was atleast trying. I should have guessed...
And a few lines later they told me support can't do anything for me.

    Here's the full thing:
    TradeBan2SupportConversation.png

I've started asking around among all players that I remember playing with on the day I got banned. And turns out that 2 other players who I regularly did the sentient anomaly with also got a trade ban. So might be this has something to do with the ban. Or not. I don't remember anything extraordinary happening during the runs on this day. I've been doing the sentient anomaly for several days already and had better results too. That I even have to go to such lenghts to try guessing why I got banned... Generally I find it very questionable to ever ban a player without giving any reason. Can this really be DE's official policy? Maybe someone with the ability to ban people is abusing their power... Speculation...

Anyway my situation now is being banned twice without any explanation. As far as I can tell I did not do anything bad. And support won't help me avoid getting banned in the future.

Anyone in their right mind should be able to see that getting an unjustified 2 weeks ban every month is too much. And for me it will make the game unplayable as trading is my main activity and what I enjoy most in Warframe.

And what about this audit they mention? Is it actually happening? And if so why am I not being unbanned when it's done? I had to wait the full 14 days on the first ban and even when it was over I did not receive any message about the potential outcome of that audit.

I hope very much to get some official response here. Since support is not supporting and the community will not be able to do much...

What can I do? Feels like being a victim of arbitrary bans.

I'll start staring at the timer...

  9. So just when I thought nice Hotfix, Thralls are much more convenient now... Then I find this:

    KohmRivenComparison.png

Apparently the Kuva weapons have a different disposition than their normal counterparts while still using the same Riven. So the stats you get on your Kuva weapon are lower than what you see on the Riven! And it's always lower. All Kuva weapons that are not original new models have a higher disposition on their base weapon compared to the Kuva weapon.

Now the huge problem is that everyone buying a Riven to upgrade their freshly gained Kuva weapon will get scammed. There is no way to see the true stats it will get, neither on Chat Links nor in the trade window.
Especially for newer players this is a nightmare. There is absolutely no chance they can know this and they certainly won't expect it!

I have no idea how such a system could make it into the live game. Are you completely out of your minds? I'm just speechless...

This has to be fixed ASAP!!

Either give Kuva weapons their own Rivens or give them the same disposition as the normal weapon. Original value or new Kuva weapon dispo doesn't matter, it just has to be the same for all weapons that use the same Riven.

[On a side note... If Kuva weapons get their own Rivens they will soon enough be weaker than the base weapons due to more frequent useage. Making all the grind to get them pretty pointless and turn them into the next generation MR fodder. So i think they should just get the same disposition as the normal variants and then adjust it based on usage statistics. Just like Prime, Wraith, Prisma, Vandal...]
