  1. Hello,

I'm presently trying to decorate my dojo, but I can't seem to scale objects. It says the key to scale objects is [+] [Num -]. No idea what that means. Help I've found online suggests resetting your keybindings (didn't work) and assigning every possible action to a key (did, didn't work).

    Any suggestions?

  2. I don't yet have Regenerative Molt or Quick Thinking, but I can definitely look into getting those.

Thanks for the weapon suggestions, as well. Any melee suggestions? I use the Dex Dakra right now (free potato, and I like it), but I have the Lesion, which seems like it'd work well. Anything else?

  3. Hello,

I really enjoy Saryn Prime, but have been having survival issues at sortie level. Her decoy gets shredded far too quickly to be very useful as a defensive measure...

For context, I'm running Vitality, Armored Agility, and Steel Fiber (not maxed yet) for defense. I've only recently started actually wielding my melee weapon (instead of just quick-melee-ing), but I'm not in the habit of blocking yet, it is all that useful? The interaction between her 1 and 3 gives energy, so I can channel freely, should I add Focused Defense to my weapon?

    Thanks!

  4. Hello!

Edit: I included a link to the "what did I miss" forum included in the prior post. Removed to save space.

    Short answer would be:

Plains of Eidolon is a huge open-world area accessed through the city of Cetus, which has its own independent syndicate, the "Ostrons." By working with them, you can learn to fish and mine to get resources needed to create "Zaws," or custom-made modular melee weapons. I won't get into amps and arcanes, as I don't know if you've finished "The War Within" quest, as it gets spoiler-y.

In Cetus, you can accept "Bounty" missions, which are multi-stage missions out in the plains. Each stage has the flavor of a typical mission: Rescue, defense, etc. With a few extras thrown in, like escort and searching wide areas. Each stage rewards you individually and randomly off a list given when you accept the bounty, and these lists change each in-game day (3 hours or so?). Each completed stage raises the enemy level, as well, up to a limit based on the difficulty of the bounty. Higher-level bounties give better rewards and more standing with the Ostrons.

Just recently there was a pass-through where they buffed a bunch of older weapons, making them viable again (and in some cases, creating BEASTS).

I haven't been around the full year of your absence, but hopefully this is a good start. Good luck, and welcome back!

  5. I had someone running around in operator mode before I even left Earth for the first time- I didn't even KNOW it was a spoiler. I just saw their operator, went, "Oh, cool, that must be the person inside the warframe!" (A reasonable assumption, I think).

It wasn't until much later that I realized what I had seen.

    I like Megakruemel's suggestion, though.

  6. Wait, really?

I would LOVE two copies (one for myself, one for my fiancee). I was just recently lamenting that I wanted Ignis, but would forever be using the inferior version (Same for Supra XD)

I'll be online tonight starting around 8-8:30 PM Pacific time. I can also send a friend request, if I don't run into you tonight.

This is really awesome of you! People in this game are so generous.

  7. Hello, I'll do my best to address your issues:

    1) The levels mean basically the same thing, but I agree, the plains are very challenging- The enemies come in huge numbers, there's little cover, they come from all sides, and it seems to me like a disproportionate number of the enemies are heavy versions (like bombards). Come prepared to deal with armor- corrosive and puncture damage.

    2) MR doesn't directly impact your combat prowess, but it does limit your access to certain weapons. I bring a Zhuge (crossbow) to the plains, but you can't use it because it requires MR 10.

    3) Like another said, the drone is usually near the center of the way-area. It's small, lumpy, and easy to miss. Try standing on something tallish and look down from there.

    4) You don't actually STOP the drops, you let them drop and destroy them, then kill their guard squad- one of them will drop the item that summons the next drop. Repeat twice, for three destroyed drops total.

The plains are nice, but I didn't get into them until I was deep (Pluto-ish) in the starmap, and don't regret it at all. I feel like you get much better rewards for progressing through the starmap, as well as a much wider variety of mods and such.

The plains are fun, and that's where DE has pushed the late-game content (Eidolons), but I feel like the starmap is still the core experience.

    Hope I helped!

  8. "Shrines" is referring to the "Shrines of the Eidolon" update, which greatly increased the MR requirement for many weapons (a few ridiculously so. Looks at Aklex Prime)

The "Dual Stat" mods refer to a set of rare-quality mods (gold) that give 60% elemental damage and 60% increased status chance. They come in all four flavors (Heat, cold, electricity, and toxin) and for all weapon types (Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, melee), so 16 total. In this case, it refers to Frostbite, Scorch, Jolt, and Pistol Pestilence.

  9. Just putting it out there, but be aware that these mods increase total damage, not base damage like elemental mods do. This effect is added last, and can actually be very powerful in the right circumstances. I don't have math to back it up, but I've seen fairly convincing arguments that they can be well worth the effort (particularly the primed versions) when you're going for maximum raw damage.

Now that I think about it, those prior discussions said to use them if you're loading up on elemental mods- you're better off putting this in instead of a fourth (or even third) 90% damage elemental mod.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm interested to see how this pans out.

  10. As others said, the two weapons serve different purposes- Soma focuses more on raw damage through critical hit chance/multiplier, while the Braton is really good for status chance- Viral plus the Braton Prime's innate slash make short work of many enemy types.

I might add, another weapon (my personal favorite) that gets overlooked is the Baza. It feels more like the Braton in terms of use, but is a crit-focused weapon like the Soma. So if you find you prefer using the Braton, but want a crit build (Hunter munitions is wonderful), try it out! (You need to be in a clan to get it, though)

  11. "Tigris Prime" is a popular answer for people asking about the index, but it's often glossed over that the mods you need to make it worthwhile aren't available immediately (as you saw from that build posted earlier) and are overall expensive on the weapon's point capacity- A maxed Hell's Chamber alone costs 15.

A crit-build rapid-fire weapon (I use the Baza) weapon with Hunter's Munitions (A common find in the plains) works well, as does a status-modded Braton Prime.

As others said, Tigris Prime and Opticor are both beasts, but require both good mods AND a catalyst to reach their full potential.

Edit: That said, hold out for a Tigris Prime/Sancti before you put a catalyst in. Those both have high MRs though.

  12. Hello,

I mostly play Warframe as a 2-player co-op with my fiancee (except for relic cracking), and we have (mostly) cleared the star chart. We have some nice prime frames and good weapons, and we're just applying our first formas. We're also just coming into enough money to upgrade our ten-rank mods (serration, etc.) to full.

My questions is: what content should we be doing now? We don't feel ready for sorties. Should we keep focusing on improving our weapons/frames by upgrading our 10-rank mods and earning money, or is there something else we should be doing?

    Thanks!

  13. I can't speak on this definitively, but from other similar posts I've read about this challenge, the kills don't have to be in the same glide, or even the same mission, unless the mod challenge specifically says so. Get them one at a time with a good shotgun (Someone recommended the Sobek, so do I). The closer to the Dargyn you are when the guy starts falling, the easier it'll be to take them out.
