  1. I remember it was the norm to create a post introducing yourself to the forums. And the posts were always late. By a few days, or weeks after you signed up for the forums.
I never made mine, and thought to myself: "when would be a better time, than the fifth anniversary of my account."

So here it is. Exactly five years on from when I first signed up to play Warframe.

I am Kyle, and it has been a pleasure being a part of the Warframe community. I'll always treasure the positive interactions I've had with the community. And with the DEvs too. Never has a team felt so approachable, and real as DE has.

Just as my life has drastically changed of the last half-decade, so has the game I fell in love with, five years ago.
I still fondly remember what Warframe was (Combat formation bravo). My first moments playing, with the kneeling Warframe, white floor and no distinguishable walls or ceiling. Her voice...
I remember beating Ambulas with a Strun, Lato and Cronus.
I named my Clan after the node I first beat the Stalker on; Silvanus (Mars).
    And so much more...

I've made friends, brought new friends (back) into Warframe, got burned out, and came back.

Warframe has became something that I never could have imagined, five years ago.

I wouldn't change it for the world.

Here's to five years... with many more to come.

How many layers have you built into your bindings?  I'm wondering if you need to separate them out a bit more.

Any chance of screenshots of your steam bindings?

I never previously set up or checked, but Steam defaulted to applying [DE]Jim's bindings, which have the bindings that were conflicting with mine.
I honestly thought each game had to be individually set up to have bindings applied. Apparently not.

Does explain why I had doubled up bindings. Perhaps there could be a setting in the future to disable either the ingame, or steam bindings.

I haven't had this issue, and use a custom binding through big picture all the time.

The reload & action on one button is another option that you need to toggle off as by default it has this on, called action includes reload iirc.

I have reload and context bound on separate buttons. It also adds a binding to RB for opening the ability menu, which I don't have bound at all. This conflicts with my binding of melee on RB. But this of course is for my bindings. The issue is that both the default and custom bindings are being used at the same time.

  4. Found a bug;

Enabling controller support in Steam's Big Picture mode causes Warframe to use both the default controller bindings, and your own custom bindings at the same time.

This causes conflictions, as multiple actions may occur after one button input (such as quick melee and reload both triggering on one button press)

Issue is fixed by disabling controller support in the settings of Steam's Big Picture mode.

  5. Copied from my reddit thread:

So, in light of the changes to Oberon, I've been experimenting with builds to find a use for Oberon. This is what I've found:

Link Note: I forma'd the Aura for Oberon ages ago, and the build works the same with Steel Charge.

Activate Renewal with your allies on your Hallowed Ground, and this build gives you, and teammates (within 25m of initial cast)

      52 heal/sec

      260 armour flat

An insta-rez if someone does somehow die

This amount of healing and armour makes even squishies a lot tougher.

-This does not deactivate over range, so your allies can even leave affinity range and still have the effects.

-The effects of another Oberon will apply to you also, with no affect to your effects.

-With 0.5 energy drain per second, the ability lasts for a very long time, and taking damage to health refills your energy quickly.

  6. After the most recent patch (with the Ash changes and skins), Warframe has become quite literally unplayable.

Firstly, the game cannot run at the same framerate with the same settings as before. And at a random point, the game then begins to lag incredibly aggressively, resulting in framerates as low as 5PFS. This is compounded by the fact it begins to affect my PC as well. The Disk/GPU/CPU/etc. all run as normal, but my PC becomes unresponsive and jittery. Closing Warframe alleviates the issues.

This has happened recently to a friend of mine, but his issues seemed to clear up randomly (after changing V-Sync settings, strangely). I know reinstalling Warframe/updating drivers/etc. are going to be suggested, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

  7. I found a bug that makes Cat's Eye last literally forever in a mission. While under the effect of another player's Kavat's Cat's eye buff, the Kavat's owner left the mission. No host migration occurred, as I was host. This left me with the Cat's Eye buff, for the whole rest of the mission. I had the Cyan aura of Cat's Eye on me and my Carrier, and the critical chance buff remained. No timer or icon for Cat's Eye was present on my HUD.

I like how we can boil down people's grievances to 'salt'. Way to marginalize and dismiss an entire group of people.

This is such a transferable statement to any gaming community! You hit the nail on the head, mate.

  9. Based on what we know, Excalibur Prime - as far as we can tell, the Prime's came first, with the regular ones being weaker, non-Orokin-tech-made copies of the originals. But both are in the Excalibur CLASS of Warframe, so it doesn't matter much - they're both still Excalibur.

Prime. Prime Warframes are Orokin creations, while regular Warframes are made by the Tenno due the lack of Orokin tech during the war.

As the war advances, more scarce are resources.

Really? I'd always operated under the assumption that the vanilla Warframes were the first, and the Primes were upgrades, *given to the tenno who performed well (headcanon)*

That would make more sense if there were resource shortages, and since the Orokin were going for as minimal tech as possible.

However your theories, would make more sense, due to the comparative scarcity of primes <-> vanilla 'frames. (Being destroyed in battle, and the normal 'frames being easily made, currently.)
