  1. Everyone needs to go Corpus! And those who fight corpus fight more! 

    The Gauss MAG helmet is infinity better than the Coil helmet...Who needs a longer range with a maxed pull ability? It's good enough as, but having more energy to use on pull? Heck yeah!

     

    At the moment, Grineer is winning and I have no idea why.

     

    Corpus needs help my fellow Tenno!

  2. Furax's range is far too short to be of any use against a pile of ragdolled enemies. I'd advise against it.

    For a quick sweep that allows you to pull, smash until dead, pull, smash until dead, over and over again, I'd go with something along the lines of the Orthos. Wide range, fast charge, high damage.

    If you want to ensure that nothing stands up again after you hit it, though, including level 70- Heavies, then go with Galatine. Note that, like other Heavy melees, Galatine can only hit five enemies at once, so the slower charge speed might be a hindrance here. It's undeniably better than any other melee against Heavy units, though.

    It doesn't have to be a melee, though. For non-melee weapons against a pile of ragdolled enemies right by your feet, Embolist is by far the best tool to use, with Ignis and Torid close behind. Great damage, and unlimited mob count. If you pick a powerful mobbing weapon specifically for this, then you could actually go and use some Zorens at the same time so you can rapidly position yourself and Pull away the exact instant you see an opportunity.

    I'm glad you mentioned the Orthos, It's something that I can pretty soon. Need a couple more morphics for it. (I want something right now). 

     

    While the Galatine will mow down anything lvl 70 with one charge attack, this is oddly not true about its sneak attacks and finishers. I tested it extensively in Phobos and only ever managed to leave Heavy Gunners with a slice of health. The only charge damage MOD I am missing is the one from the vault, all the others are maxed and I even did a couple runs with Finishing Touch equipped (since I didnt need charge speed, I switched with Reflex Coil).

     

    Of course if I misunderstood the OP and they are not looking for the best in terms of Finisher damage, apologies.

    It would be nice to have a good finishing weapon, but I doesn't matter much to me right now.

    Plus it'll be a while till I'm Mastery level 3 and I want something I can use right now, (I've already stated that I have limited time on my hands, I kind of need something that won't take that long to obtain). 

  3. Thinking of getting a Gram, it's base damage is a bit higher than the Galatine and it's unlocked at Mastery level 2, (I'm at 2, to impatient to wait for 3. I have limited time to play). 

    Probably mod it out with ROF mods to make it swing faster.

    Hmmm...Although the Furax do/does seem intersting...

     

     

    Yeah, probably going for the Gram, although I might eventually upgrade to the Galatine for it's 400 charge damage. 

  4. I've been using MAG for a while and have found that the most worthwhile ability to use was the pull ability.

    I maxed it out and have used mods to extend the amount of energy I can have at one time.

     

    Pull used to suck, but after the buff a while ago it's tons better,(pulls all enemies in a radius instead of just one),  and a player who uses it at the right times can take on large groups of enemies at once by themselves. 

     

    That being said....I use a cronus at the moment and I'm looking for a better melee choice.

    What's recommended? 

     

    Preferably something that will do a lot of damage on a jump strike seeing as I want to take advantage of the sit down effect of pull.

     

    I'm thinking of the Fragor or the Scindo...
