  1. I'm having this same issue. Defending the drone seems impossible at times because it dies incredibly fast. Doesn't even matter if I go after the groups of enemies at closer ranges since they spawn all over the place and far away or stay near the drone to deal with attackers from afar. The issues I see with this is that a) the drone is way too squishy and b) the attackers' range is so far that they can kill the thing from half the map away. In combination, these two factors make it near impossible to keep it alive.

The only times I can get this to work is when the drone spawns inside the walled base(s?) where the attackers spawn close enough to the drone that I can both see and attack them. Out in the open, it takes anywhere from 15-30 seconds for the drone to die. With how spread out the enemies are, I can't get the 30 kills in that time before the drone is toast.

Bringing a team seems to make this even worse because one person will zoomzoom to the place where the defence is supposed to take place, immediately melt the drone, proceeding to the next stage and 5-10 seconds later the thing is destroyed. Meanwhile, the other 3 people are still trying to get to the place.

And 5-15 bounties should not require a team to begin with even if we disregard that this only makes it harder.

  2. After some testing, I can say I really enjoy this rework. Whether or not she's as powerful as before I can't really comment on, because I've yet to do (or want to do) anything high-end.

However, I feel the point of this rework was to make Saryn flow better, feel less awkward and most of all make her a lot less confusing and more fun to play. ALL of those this rework accomplishes, I think. To me she feels far less clunky, the spammy playstyle is gone and instead your abilities compliment what you'd be doing anyway, resulting in much more fluid playstyle.

    I'm a fan! Thank you, DE! 😄

But more often than not, players with a low mastery rank do not have the weapons and/or warframes that are wanted when it comes to eidolons.

Then that seems to be a more pressing concern that should be fixed rather than excluding large chunks of the playerbase.

Or lock people out of it if you really must, but then spread the rewards elsewhere. So you can still kill your big, evil, bosses and feel all good about it and others can get their, for some builds more or less essential, rewards like Arcane Energize elsewhere. Possibly somewhere where they can even enjoy themselves!

  4. I kind of didn't really read anything other than the title.

Definitely support that whole FALL of Cetus idea though! I'll stand there, gleefully watching Konzu get brutally murdered and remember all the bounties where I got freaking Endo instead of a damn Zenurik lens.

Totally going to yell "Early lunch for Tenno!" as I do that too.

  5. I find myself in complete agreement with this as well. No particular idea, any of them mentioned seem sensible. A reliance on RNG drops for energy orbs is just unpleasant and you WILL get screwed over sooner or later, no matter how remote the chance for an orb not dropping over any given amount of time is.

The only reason I went Zenurik as a focus school is to have some sort of reliable energy regen to begin with that doesn't require more grinding (polymers for pizzas...). Arcane Energize is out of reach for 90% of the player base (not a scientifically researched figure, merely a guess) and focus grinding for Zenurik is all nice and well, but focus IS easily one of the most common complaints about Warframe in general. So both of those are of questionable validity as a bandaid.

For me, as a non-veteran player, passive energy regen for every frame (which could be modded to increase even more) would go a long way to make the system seem more modern, add a lot of comfort and QoL and free me from the slavery of focus grinding for Zenurik. I'd really like to advance other schools but by the time I'm finally done with Zenurik, just so I can use my frame abilities, I imagine I'm done with the entire system as a whole.

Like I said in another thread, which is of course only personal opinion, but without the option to use frame abilities somewhat frequently at any given time, all that remains is a third person shooter with cool movement. I feel like frame abilities constitute 90% of the fun in general in Warframe. More occasions to use them -> Higher enjoyment in general!

I know this, and I never have energy problems in onslaught. Use proper arcanes and focus schools. It isn't a problem with the energy economy or efficiency because you are ill-equipped.

Yes, use arcanes, an endgame thing you'll need ages to get a set of and I believe it's right now around 2500 Plat for a full set, which should really come as an indicator that it's not entirely easy to get a hold of. Not to mention it doesn't drop all that reliably and you need 10 of them.
Edit: Oh and let's not forget the gigantic grind required to get an Amp that actually works on Eidolons you'd need first. Unless you're being carried.

Or use that focus school which requires an ungodly amount of dull grinding, not to mention the euthanizing thrill of grinding for lenses over and over. Lenses are already a completely daft and staggeringly stupid concept to begin with in a game that's all about switching frames and weapons all the time, but that's not actually the discussion here, I know.

Normal Onslaught is FAR from endgame content. It's starchart-level content you get to after what, a few days of ingame time played if you got to learn everything first?

The portals are a symptom of the energy system as a whole being archaic and stupid. It's the frames' abilities that make Warframe fun. Because let's for a minute here assume we can't use their abilities, what remains? A TPS shooter with a funnier than usual movement system. And now suddenly all the frames play the same. Their abilities make all the difference.

Arcanes and Focus schools can't be expected to be had at the point you play normal mode Onslaught. For Elite Onslaught, sure, why not.

  7. When I run into the rare need to feel like a good person, I use my Trinity Prime and head for Ludi, Ceres, which is a Hijack mission, in public queue mode. I do this because it is mandatory to complete that one and I remember how much trouble I had with it when I got there on my Mag with barely anything better than starter mods you have at that point.

Now I know there are a million ways to make Hijack pretty easy, one of them being Trinity of course, but most of the things that make it enjoyable, least in solo mode, are not available to new players at that point whatsoever.

Half my friends-list is either populated by people I met that way and ended up befriending me after telling me how tough a time they had with it OR people whom I helped with defending that objective during the Chroma story mission.

Also I've been trying to give away mandatory mods like Streamline, Continuity and such, which we all have a dozen of, to exactly those newer people you meet in missions like that, but that always turned out to be a hassle because nobody is familiar at all with the trading system and one even thought I was trying to scam them after they saw that clan tax thing in the trade :D
